Colossenses 1

1 Paulo, apóstolo de Jesus Cristo, pela vontade de Deus, e o irmão Timotheo:

Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and brother Timothy,

2 Aos santos e irmãos fieis em Cristo, que estão em Colossos. Graça a vós, e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pai e da do Senhor Jesus Cristo.

to the holy and faithful brothers in Christ at Colosse: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and Sovereign Jesus Christ.

3 Graças damos ao Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, orando sempre por vós:

We always give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ when we pray for you

4 Porquanto ouvimos da vossa fé em Cristo Jesus, e da caridade que tendes para com todos os santos;

(having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love toward all the saints),

5 Pela esperança que vos está reservada nos céus, da qual já de antes ouvistes pela palavra da verdade do evangelho:

because of the hope that is being reserved for you in the heavens, of which you have already heard through the Word of the Truth

6 O qual já chegou a vós, como também está em todo o mundo; e já vai frutificando, como também entre vós, desde o dia em que ouvistes e conhecestes a graça de Deus em verdade;

(the Gospel that has come to you just as also in all the world, where it is producing fruit and growing just as also among you, from the day in which you heard about and truly understood God's grace),

7 Como também o aprendestes de Epaphras, nosso amado conservo, que para vós é um fiel ministro de Cristo.

even as you learned from Epaphras, our dear fellow slave, who is a faithful servant of Christ on your behalf,

8 O qual nos declarou também a vossa caridade no espírito.

who also reported to us your love in spirit.

9 Portanto também, desde o dia em que o ouvimos, não cessamos de orar por vós, e de pedir que sejais cheios do conhecimento da sua vontade, em toda a sabedoria e inteligência espiritual;

For this very reason, since the day we heard of it, we have not stopped praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the real knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

10 Para que possais andar dignamente diante do Senhor, agradando-lhe em tudo, frutificando em toda a boa obra, e crescendo no conhecimento de Deus;

in order for you to walk worthily of the Lord, pleasing Him in every way, being fruitful in every good work and growing into the real knowledge of God;

11 Corroborados em toda a fortaleza, segundo a força da sua glória, em toda a paciência, e longanimidade com gozo;

being enabled with all capability according to the strength that resides in His glory, for all endurance and steadfastness.

12 Dando graças ao Pai que nos fez idôneos de participar da herança dos santos na luz.

Nor have we stopped giving thanks joyfully to the Father who has qualified us for the share in the inheritance of the saints in the Light;

13 O qual nos tirou da potestade das trevas, e nos transportou para o reino do Filho do seu amor;

who delivered us out of the dominion of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

14 No qual temos a redenção pelo seu sangue, a saber, a remissão dos pecados;

in whom we have the redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our sins.

15 O qual é imagem do Deus invisível, o primogênito de toda a criatura.

He is the visible representation of the invisible God, ‘Firstborn’ over all creation,

16 Porque por ele foram criadas todas as coisas que há nos céus e na terra, visíveis e invisíveis, sejam tronos, sejam dominações, sejam principados, sejam potestades: todas as coisas foram criadas por ele e para ele.

because by Him all things were created—those in the heavens and those on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.

17 E ele é antes de todas as coisas, e todas as coisas subsistem por ele.

Yes, He is before all, and in Him all things subsist.

18 E ele é a cabeça do corpo da igreja: é o princípio e o primogênito dentre os mortos, para que entre todos tenha a preeminência.

Also, He is the Head of the body, the Church. He is Beginning, the firstborn from among the dead, so that He may be preeminent in everything,

19 Porque foi do agrado do Pai que toda a plenitude nele habitasse;

because in Him all the Fullness was pleased to dwell

20 E que, havendo por ele feito a paz pelo sangue da sua cruz, por ele reconciliasse consigo mesmo todas as coisas, tanto as que estão na terra, como as que estão nos céus.

and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross—through Him, whether things on the earth or things on the heavens.

21 A vós também, que de antes éreis estranhos, e inimigos no entendimento, em obras más, agora todavia vos reconciliou,

So now He has reconciled you as well (you who once were alienated and hostile in your mind because of your wicked works),

22 No corpo da sua carne, pela morte, para perante si vos apresentar santos, e irrepreensíveis, e inculpáveis,

by His physical body through His death, so as to present you before Him holy and blameless and above reproach—

23 Se, todavia, permanecerdes fundados e firmes na fé, e não vos moverdes da esperança do evangelho que tendes ouvido, o qual é pregado a toda a criatura que há debaixo do céu, e do qual eu, Paulo, estou feito ministro.

if, that is, you continue in the Faith established and firm, not drifting away from the hope of the Gospel, that you heard and that was proclaimed in all the creation under the heaven, of which I, Paul, became a servant.

24 Regozijo-me agora no que padeço por vós, e cumpro na minha carne o resto das aflições de Cristo, pelo seu corpo, que é a igreja;

Now I rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf and supplement in my flesh the things lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the Church,

25 Da qual eu estou feito ministro segundo a dispensação de Deus, que me foi concedida para convosco, para cumprir a palavra de Deus;

of which I became a servant according to the stewardship from God that was given to me towards you, to complete the Word of God,

26 O mistério que esteve oculto desde todos os séculos, e em todas as gerações, e que agora foi manifesto aos seus santos; (aiōn g165)

the secret that has been hidden from past ages and generations, but now has been revealed to His saints; (aiōn g165)

27 Aos quais Deus quis fazer conhecer quais são as riquezas da glória deste mistério entre os gentios, que é Cristo em vós, esperança da glória:

to whom God resolved to make known who is the wealth of the glory of this secret among the nations, namely Christ in you, the hope of glory;

28 O qual anunciamos, admoestando a todo o homem, e ensinando a todo o homem em toda a sabedoria; para que apresentemos todo o homem perfeito em Jesus Cristo;

whom we proclaim, warning every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ.

29 No que também trabalho, combatendo segundo a sua eficácia, que obra em mim poderosamente.

It is to this end that I labor, striving according to His working that works through me with power.
