Romanos 9
1 Em Christo digo a verdade, não minto (dando-me testemunho juntamente a minha consciencia no Espirito Sancto):
I tell the truth in Meshikha. I am not lying, my conscience testifying with me in the Rukha d'Qudsha,
2 Que tenho grande tristeza e continua dôr no meu coração.
that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart.
3 Porque eu mesmo desejara ser separado de Christo, por amor de meus irmãos, que são meus parentes segundo a carne;
For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Meshikha for my brothers' sake, my physical relatives according to the flesh,
4 Que são israelitas, dos quaes é a adopção de filhos, e a gloria, e os concertos, e a lei, e o culto, e as promessas:
who are Israyelites; whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service, and the promises;
5 Dos quaes são os paes, e dos quaes é Christo segundo a carne, o qual é Deus sobre todos, bemdito eternamente: Amen. (aiōn g165)
of whom are the patriarchs, and from whom is the Meshikha, as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God, blessed forever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Não, porém, que a palavra de Deus haja faltado, porque nem todos os que são d'Israel são israelitas;
But it is not as though the word of God has come to nothing. For they are not all Israyel, that are of Israyel.
7 Nem por serem descendencia de Abrahão são todos filhos; mas: Em Isaac será chamada a tua descendencia.
Neither, because they are Avraham's descendants, are they all children. But, "In Iskhaq will your descendants be called."
8 Isto é: não são os filhos da carne que são filhos de Deus, mas os filhos da promessa são contados como descendencia.
That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as descendants.
9 Porque a palavra da promessa é esta: Por este tempo virei, e Sarah terá um filho.
For this is what the promise said, "At the appointed time I will come, and Sera will have a son."
10 E não sómente esta, mas tambem Rebecca, quando concebeu de um, de Isaac, nosso pae;
And not only that, but Raphqa also had conceived by one, our father Iskhaq.
11 Porque, não tendo elles ainda nascido, nem tendo feito bem ou mal (para que o proposito de Deus, segundo a eleição, ficasse firme, não por causa das obras, mas por aquelle que chamava),
For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls,
12 Foi-lhe dito a ella: O maior servirá o menor.
it was said to her, "The elder will serve the younger."
13 Como está escripto: Amei Jacob, e aborreci Esaú.
Even as it is written, "Yaquv I loved, but Isuw I hated."
14 Que diremos pois? que ha injustiça da parte de Deus? de maneira nenhuma.
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Absolutely not.
15 Pois diz a Moysés: Compadecer-me-hei de quem me compadecer, e terei misericordia de quem eu tiver misericordia.
For he said to Mushe, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."
16 De sorte que não é do que quer, nem do que corre, mas de Deus, que se compadece.
So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who has mercy.
17 Porque diz a Escriptura a Pharaó: Para isto mesmo te levantei; para em ti mostrar o meu poder, e para que o meu nome seja annunciado em toda a terra.
For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."
18 De sorte que se compadece de quem quer, e endurece a quem quer.
So then, he has mercy on whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires.
19 Dir-me-has então: Porque se queixa elle ainda? Porquanto, quem resiste á sua vontade?
You will say then to me, "Why does he still find fault? For who withstands his will?"
20 Mas antes, ó homem, quem és tu, que contestas contra Deus? Porventura a coisa formada dirá ao que a formou: Porque me fizeste assim?
But who indeed are you, a human being, to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, "Why did you make me like this?"
21 Ou não tem o oleiro poder sobre o barro, para da mesma massa fazer um vaso para honra e outro para deshonra?
Or hasn't the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?
22 E que direis se Deus, querendo mostrar a sua ira, e dar a conhecer o seu poder, supportou com muita paciencia os vasos da ira, preparados para perdição;
What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath made for destruction,
23 Para que tambem désse a conhecer as riquezas da sua gloria nos vasos de misericordia, que para gloria já d'antes preparou,
and that he might make known the riches of his glory on vessels of mercy, which he prepared beforehand for glory,
24 Os quaes somos nós, a quem tambem chamou, não só d'entre os judeos, mas tambem d'entre os gentios?
us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the non-Jews?
25 Como tambem diz em Oseas: Chamarei meu povo ao que não era meu povo; e amada á que não era amada.
As he says also in Hushay, "I will call them which were not my people 'my people,' and her who was not loved, 'loved.'"
26 E succederá que no logar em que lhes foi dito: Vós não sois meu povo; ahi serão chamados filhos do Deus vivo.
"It will be that in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' There they will be called 'children of the living God.'"
27 Tambem Isaias clamava ácerca d'Israel: Ainda que o numero dos filhos d'Israel seja como a areia do mar, o restante será salvo.
Eshaya cries out concerning Israyel, "Though the number of the people of Israyel are as the sand of the sea, the remnant will be kept safe.
28 Porque o Senhor consummará e abreviará a sua palavra em justiça; pois fará breve a sua palavra sobre a terra.
For he will fulfill the word and decisively in righteousness; because the Lord will carry out the word decisively on the earth."
29 E como antes disse Isaias: Se o Senhor dos Exercitos nos não deixára descendencia, foramos feitos como Sodoma, e seriamos similhantes a Gomorrah.
As Eshaya has said before, "Unless the Lord of hosts had left us a few survivors, we would have become like Sedum, and would have been made like Amura."
30 Que diremos pois? Que os gentios, que não buscavam a justiça, alcançaram a justiça? Sim, porém a justiça que é pela fé.
What shall we say then? That the non-Jews, who did not follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;
31 Mas Israel, que buscava a lei da justiça, não chegou á lei da justiça.
but Israyel, following after a law of righteousness, did not arrive at that law.
32 Porque? Porque não foi pela fé, mas como que pelas obras da lei; porque tropeçaram na pedra de tropeço;
Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone;
33 Como está escripto: Eis que eu ponho em Sião uma pedra de tropeço, e uma rocha de escandalo; e todo aquelle que crer n'ella não será confundido.
even as it is written, "Look, I am laying in Tsehyun a stumbling stone and a rock to trip over; and the one who believes in him will not be put to shame."
