Romanos 6
1 Que diremos pois? Permaneceremos no peccado, para que a graça abunde?
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 De modo nenhum. Nós, que estamos mortos para o peccado, como viveremos ainda n'elle?
Absolutely not. We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
3 Ou não sabeis que todos quantos fomos baptizados em Jesus Christo fomos baptizados na sua morte?
Or do you not know that all we who were baptized into Meshikha Yeshua were baptized into his death?
4 De sorte que estamos sepultados com elle pelo baptismo na morte; para que, como Christo resuscitou dos mortos, pela gloria do Pae, assim andemos nós tambem em novidade de vida.
We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Meshikha was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
5 Porque, se fomos plantados juntamente com elle na similhança da sua morte, tambem o seremos na da sua resurreição:
For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;
6 Sabendo isto, que o nosso homem velho foi com elle crucificado, para que o corpo do peccado seja desfeito, para que não sirvamos mais ao peccado.
knowing this, that our old self was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
7 Porque o que está morto está justificado do peccado.
For he who has died has been freed from sin.
8 Ora, se já morremos com Christo, cremos que tambem com elle viveremos:
But if we died with Meshikha, we believe that we will also live with him;
9 Sabendo que, havendo Christo resuscitado dos mortos, já não morre: a morte não mais terá dominio sobre elle.
knowing that Meshikha, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him.
10 Pois, emquanto a morrer, de uma vez morreu para o peccado, mas, emquanto a viver, vive para Deus.
For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
11 Assim tambem vós considerae-vos como mortos para o peccado, mas vivos para Deus em Christo Jesus nosso Senhor.
In the same way, consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Meshikha Yeshua.
12 Não reine portanto o peccado em vosso corpo mortal, para lhe obedecerdes em suas concupiscencias;
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
13 Nem tão pouco apresenteis os vossos membros ao peccado por instrumentos de iniquidade; mas apresentae-vos a Deus, como vivos d'entre mortos, e os vossos membros a Deus, como instrumentos de justiça.
Neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
14 Porque o peccado não terá dominio sobre vós, pois não estaes debaixo da lei, mas debaixo da graça.
For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.
15 Pois que? Peccaremos porque não estamos debaixo da lei, mas debaixo da graça? de modo nenhum.
What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? Absolutely not.
16 Não sabeis vós que a quem vos apresentardes por servos para obedecer sois servos d'aquelle a quem obedeceis, ou do peccado para a morte, ou da obediencia para a justiça?
Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
17 Porém, graças a Deus que vós fostes servos do peccado, mas obedecestes de coração á forma de doutrina a que fostes entregues.
But thanks be to God, that, whereas you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were entrusted.
18 E, libertados do peccado, fostes feitos servos da justiça.
Being made free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
19 Fallo como homem, pela fraqueza da vossa carne: pois que, assim como apresentastes os vossos membros para servirem á immundicia, e á maldade para maldade, assim apresentae agora os vossos membros para servirem á justiça para sanctificação.
I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh, for as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as slaves to righteousness for sanctification.
20 Porque, quando ereis servos do peccado, estaveis livres da justiça.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
21 Pois que fructo tinheis então das coisas de que agora vos envergonhaes? porque o fim d'ellas é a morte.
What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
22 Mas agora, libertados do peccado, e feitos servos de Deus, tendes o vosso fructo para sanctificação, e por fim a vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
But now, being made free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit of sanctification, and the result of everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
