Isaías 16
1 Enviae o cordeiro ao dominador da terra desde Sela, ao deserto, até ao monte da filha de Sião.
Send ye the lamb due to the ruler of the land, From Sela towards the desert, —Unto the mount of the daughter of Zion;
2 D'outro modo succederá que serão as filhas de Moab junto aos váos de Arnon como o passaro vagueante, lançado do ninho.
Yet shall it be that—Like wandering birds from a nest cast forth, Shall be the daughters of Moab, at the fords of Arnon.
3 Toma conselho, faze juizo, põe a tua sombra no pino do meio-dia como a noite; esconde os desterrados, e não descubras os vagueantes.
Bring thou, in counsel, Execute thou judgment, Make as the night, thy shadow in the midst of high noon, —Hide thou the outcasts, The wanderer, do not thou reveal.
4 Habitem entre ti os meus desterrados, ó Moab: serve-lhes de refugio perante a face do destruidor; porque o oppressor tem fim; a destruição é desfeita, e os atropelladores já são consumidos sobre a terra
Let mine own outcasts, sojourn with thee, O Moab, become thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler, —For vanished is the oppressor, At an end is extortion, They who tread down have ceased out of the land.
5 Porque o throno se confirmará em benignidade, e sobre elle no tabernaculo de David em verdade se assentará um que julgue, e busque o juizo, e se apresse á justiça.
So shall be established, in lovingkindness, a throne, And one shall sit thereon, in truth, in the home of David, —Judging—and seeking justice and speeding righteousness.
6 Já ouvimos a soberba de Moab, que é soberbissimo: a sua altivez, e a sua soberba, e o seu furor; os seus ferrolhos não são tão seguros.
We have heard of the arrogance of Moab, Proud exceedingly! His haughtiness and his arrogance and his passion, Not true, are his boastings.
7 Portanto Moab uivará por Moab; todos uivarão: gemereis pelos fundamentos de Kir-hareseth, pois já estão quebrados.
Therefore shall, Moab, howl for, Moab, All that belong to her, shall wail, —For the ruins of Kir-hareseth, shall they moan out Utterly stricken!
8 Porque já os campos d'Hesbon enfraqueceram, como tambem a vide de Sibma; já os senhores das nações atropellaram as suas melhores plantas; vão chegando a Jazer; andam vagueando pelo deserto: os seus renovos se estenderam e já passaram além do mar
For, the fields of Heshbon are withered—The vine of Sibmah, the owners of nations, have broken off ruddy branches, Unto Jazer, had they reached, They had spread abroad to the desert, —Her boughs, had stretched forth, had gone over to the sea.
9 Pelo que prantearei, com o pranto de Jazer, a vide de Sibma; regar-te-hei com as minhas lagrimas, ó Hesbon e Eleale; porque já o jubilo dos teus fructos de verão e da tua sega caiu.
For this cause, will I bewail, in the wailing of Jazer, The vine of Sibmah, I will drench thee with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealeh, —For, upon thy fruit-harvest, and upon thy grain-harvest, the battle-shout, hath fallen.
10 Assim que já se tirou o folguedo e a alegria do fertil campo, e já nas vinhas se não canta, nem jubilo algum se faz: já o pisador não pisará as uvas nos lagares; já fiz cessar o jubilo
Now shall be withdrawn rejoicing and exultation out of the garden-land, And, in the vineyards, shall be neither singing nor shouting, —Wine in the winepress, the treader, shall not tread, The vintage-shout, have I made to cease.
11 Pelo que minhas entranhas fazem ruido por Moab como harpa, e o meu interior por Kirheres.
For this cause, mine inward parts—for Moab, like a lyre, shall make a plaintive sound, —Yea what is within me, for Kir-heres.
12 E será que, quando virem que já Moab está cançado nos altos, então entrará no seu sanctuario a orar, porém nada alcançará.
And it shall be—When it is seen that Moab hath laboured in vain on the high place, He shall enter into his holy place to pray, and shall not prevail,
13 Esta é a palavra que fallou o Senhor desde então contra Moab.
This, is the word which Yahweh spake concerning Moab in, time past;
14 Porém agora fallou o Senhor, dizendo: Dentro em tres annos (taes quaes os annos de jornaleiros), então se virá a envilecer a gloria de Moab, com toda a sua grande multidão; e o residuo será pouco, pequeno e impotente.
But now, hath Yahweh spoken saying, In three years, —as the years of a hireling, shall the glory of Moab be diminished, with all the great multitude, —even a very small remnant, of no account.
