Łukasza 12
1 Tymczasem, gdy zgromadziły się wielotysięczne tłumy, tak że jedni po drugich deptali, zaczął mówić najpierw do swoich uczniów: Strzeżcie się zakwasu faryzeuszy, którym jest obłuda.
In the mean time, when there was gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, so that they trampled one upon another, he began to say to his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 Nie ma bowiem nic ukrytego, co by nie miało być ujawnione, ani nic tajemnego, o czym by się nie miano dowiedzieć.
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3 Dlatego to, co mówiliście w ciemności, będzie słyszane w świetle, a to, co szeptaliście do ucha w pokojach, będzie rozgłaszane na dachach.
Therefore whatever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4 A mówię wam, moim przyjaciołom: Nie bójcie się tych, którzy zabijają ciało, a potem już nic więcej nie mogą zrobić.
And I say to you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 Ale pokażę wam, kogo macie się bać. Bójcie się tego, który, gdy zabije, ma moc wrzucić do ognia piekielnego. Doprawdy, mówię wam, tego się bójcie. (Geenna g1067)
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, who after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say to you, Fear him. (Geenna g1067)
6 Czy nie sprzedają pięciu wróbli za dwa pieniążki? A jednak żaden z nich nie jest zapomniany w oczach Boga.
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7 Nawet włosy na waszej głowie wszystkie są policzone. Dlatego nie bójcie się, jesteście cenniejsi niż wiele wróbli.
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
8 A mówię wam: Każdego, kto mnie wyzna przed ludźmi, tego też Syn Człowieczy wyzna przed aniołami Bożymi.
Also I say to you, Whoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 Ale kto się mnie wyprze przed ludźmi, tego [też] ja się wyprę przed aniołami Boga.
But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
10 I każdemu, kto powie słowo przeciwko Synowi Człowieczemu, będzie przebaczone, ale temu, kto bluźni przeciwko Duchowi Świętemu, nie będzie przebaczone.
And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but to him that blasphemeth against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven.
11 A gdy będą was prowadzić do synagog, przełożonych i władz, nie martwcie się, jak i co macie odpowiedzieć na swoją obronę lub co macie mówić.
And when they bring you to the synagogues, and before magistrates, and powers, be not anxious how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
12 Duch Święty bowiem nauczy was w tej właśnie godzinie, co macie mówić.
For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
13 I powiedział mu ktoś z tłumu: Nauczycielu, powiedz memu bratu, aby podzielił się ze mną spadkiem.
And one of the company said to him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
14 Lecz on mu odpowiedział: Człowieku, któż mnie ustanowił sędzią albo rozjemcą między wami?
And he said to him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
15 Powiedział też do nich: Uważajcie i strzeżcie się chciwości, gdyż nie od tego, że ktoś ma obfitość dóbr, zależy jego życie.
And he said to them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
16 I opowiedział im przypowieść: Pewnemu bogatemu człowiekowi pole przyniosło obfity [plon].
And he spoke a parable to them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
17 I rozważał w sobie: Cóż mam zrobić, skoro nie mam gdzie zgromadzić moich plonów?
And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no place where to store my fruits?
18 Powiedział więc: Zrobię tak: zburzę moje spichlerze, a zbuduję większe i zgromadzę tam wszystkie moje plony i moje dobra.
And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I store all my fruits and my goods.
19 I powiem mojej duszy: Duszo, masz wiele dóbr złożonych na wiele lat; odpoczywaj, jedz, pij i wesel się.
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast many goods laid up for many years; take thy ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 Ale Bóg mu powiedział: Głupcze, tej nocy zażądają od ciebie twojej duszy, a to, co przygotowałeś, czyje będzie?
But God said to him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 Tak [jest z każdym], kto gromadzi skarby dla siebie, a nie jest bogaty w Bogu.
So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
22 Potem powiedział do swoich uczniów: Dlatego mówię wam: Nie troszczcie się o wasze życie, co będziecie jeść, ani o ciało, w co będziecie się ubierać.
And he said to his disciples, Therefore I say to you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
23 Życie jest czymś więcej niż pokarm, a ciało niż ubranie.
The life is more than food, and the body is more than raiment.
24 Przypatrzcie się krukom, że nie sieją ani nie żną, nie mają spiżarni ani spichlerza, a [jednak] Bóg je żywi. O ileż cenniejsi jesteście wy niż ptaki!
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
25 I któż z was, martwiąc się, może dodać do swego wzrostu jeden łokieć?
And which of you by being anxious can add to his stature one cubit?
26 Jeśli więc najmniejszej rzeczy nie możecie uczynić, czemu troszczycie się o inne?
If ye then are not able to do that thing which is least, why are ye anxious for the rest?
27 Przypatrzcie się liliom, jak rosną: nie pracują ani nie przędą, a mówię wam, [że] nawet Salomon w całej swojej chwale nie był tak ubrany, jak jedna z nich.
Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say to you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 A jeśli trawę, która dziś jest na polu, a jutro będzie wrzucona do pieca, Bóg tak ubiera, o ileż bardziej was, ludzie małej wiary?
If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29 Nie pytajcie więc, co będziecie jeść lub co będziecie pić, ani nie martwcie się o to.
And seek ye not what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 O to wszystko bowiem zabiegają narody świata. Lecz wasz Ojciec wie, że tego potrzebujecie.
For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 Szukajcie raczej królestwa Bożego, a to wszystko będzie wam dodane.
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added to you.
32 Nie bój się, mała trzódko, gdyż upodobało się waszemu Ojcu dać wam królestwo.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Sprzedawajcie, co posiadacie, i dawajcie jałmużnę. Przygotujcie sobie sakiewki, które nie starzeją się, skarb w niebie, którego nie ubywa, gdzie złodziej nie ma dostępu ani mól nie niszczy.
Sell what ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which become not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34 Bo gdzie jest wasz skarb, tam będzie też wasze serce.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 Niech będą przepasane wasze biodra i zapalone lampy.
Let your loins be girt, and your lamps burning;
36 A wy [bądźcie] podobni do ludzi oczekujących swego pana, aż wróci z wesela, aby gdy przyjdzie i zapuka, zaraz mu otworzyć.
And ye yourselves like men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open to him immediately.
37 Błogosławieni ci słudzy, których pan, gdy przyjdzie, zastanie czuwających. Zaprawdę powiadam wam, że się przepasze i posadzi ich za stołem, a obchodząc, będzie im usługiwał.
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say to you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to eat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 Jeśli przyjdzie o drugiej czy o trzeciej straży i tak [ich] zastanie, błogosławieni są ci słudzy.
And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
39 A to wiedzcie, że gdyby gospodarz znał godzinę, o której ma przyjść złodziej, czuwałby i nie pozwoliłby włamać się do swego domu.
And this know, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have allowed his house to be broken into.
40 Dlatego i wy bądźcie gotowi, bo Syn Człowieczy przyjdzie o godzinie, której się nie spodziewacie.
Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
41 Wtedy Piotr go zapytał: Panie, czy tę przypowieść mówisz do nas, czy też do wszystkich?
Then Peter said to him, Lord, speakest thou this parable to us, or even to all?
42 A Pan odpowiedział: Któż więc jest szafarzem wiernym i roztropnym, którego Pan ustanowi nad swoją służbą, aby we właściwym czasie wydawał jej wyznaczoną żywność?
And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?
43 Błogosławiony ten sługa, którego pan, gdy przyjdzie, zastanie tak czyniącego.
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Zaprawdę powiadam wam, że postawi go nad wszystkimi swoimi dobrami.
Truly I say to you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 Ale jeśli ten sługa powie w swoim sercu: Mój pan zwleka ze [swoim] przyjściem, i zacznie bić sługi i służące, jeść, pić i upijać się;
But if that servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunk;
46 Przyjdzie pan tego sługi w dniu, w którym się nie spodziewa i o godzinie, której nie zna, i odłączy go, i wyznaczy mu dział z niewierzącymi.
The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 Ten zaś sługa, który znał wolę swego pana, a nie był gotowy i nie postąpił według jego woli, otrzyma wielką chłostę.
And that servant, who knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 Lecz ten, który [jej] nie znał i uczynił coś godnego kary, otrzyma małą chłostę. Komu wiele dano, od tego wiele się będzie wymagać, [a] komu wiele powierzono, więcej będzie się od niego żądać.
But he that knew not, and committed things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For to whomever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom men have committed much, from him they will ask the more.
49 Przyszedłem, aby rzucić ogień na ziemię, i czegóż pragnę, skoro już zapłonął?
I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it is already kindled?
50 Lecz chrztem mam być ochrzczony i jakże jestem udręczony, aż się [to] dopełni.
But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I constrained till it shall be accomplished!
51 Czy myślicie, że przyszedłem dać ziemi pokój? Bynajmniej, mówię wam, raczej rozłam.
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 Odtąd bowiem w jednym domu będzie pięciu poróżnionych, trzech przeciwko dwom, a dwóch przeciwko trzem.
For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 Ojciec powstanie przeciwko synowi, a syn przeciwko ojcu, matka przeciwko córce, a córka przeciwko matce, teściowa przeciwko synowej, a synowa przeciwko teściowej.
The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
54 Mówił też do ludu: Gdy widzicie chmurę pojawiającą się od zachodu, zaraz mówicie: Nadchodzi ulewny deszcz. I tak jest.
And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rising in the west, immediately ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
55 A gdy wieje wiatr z południa, mówicie: Będzie gorąco. I [tak] jest.
And when ye see the south wind blowing, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
56 Obłudnicy, wygląd nieba i ziemi umiecie rozpoznawać, jakże więc obecnego czasu nie rozpoznajecie?
Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
57 Dlaczego sami z siebie nie [umiecie] osądzić, co jest sprawiedliwe?
Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
58 Gdy więc idziesz ze swoim przeciwnikiem do urzędnika, staraj się w drodze dojść z nim do zgody, aby cię nie zaciągnął przed sędziego, a sędzia przekazałby cię strażnikowi, a strażnik wtrąciłby cię do więzienia.
When thou goest with thy adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he drag thee before the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.
59 Mówię ci, że nie wyjdziesz stamtąd, dopóki nie oddasz ostatniego grosza.
I tell thee, thou shalt not depart from there, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
