1 Przedniejszemu śpiewakowi na Neginot pieśń Dawidowa. Wysłuchaj, o Boże! wołanie moje, miej pozór na modlitwę moję.

For the end, among the Hymns of David. O God, hearken to my petition; attend to my prayer.

2 Od końca ziemi wołam do ciebie w zatrwożeniu serca mego; wprowadź mię na skałę, która jest wywyżą nad mię.

From the ends of the earth have I cried to thee, when my heart was in trouble: thou liftedst me up on a rock thou didst guide me:

3 Albowiemeś ty był ucieczką moją, i basztą mocną przed twarzą nieprzyjaciela.

because thou wert my hope, a tower of strength from the face of the enemy.

4 Będę mieszkał w przybytku twoim na wieki, schraniając się pod zasłonę skrzydeł twoich. (Sela)

I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever; I will shelter myself under the shadow of thy wings. (Pause)

5 Albowiemeś ty, Boże! wysłuchał żądości moje; tyś dał dziedzictwo tym, którzy się boją imienia twego.

For thou, o God, hast heard my prayers; thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name.

6 Dni do dni królewskich przydaj; niech będą lata jego od narodu do narodu.

Thou shalt add days to the days of the king; [thou shalt lengthen] his years to all generations.

7 Niech mieszka na wieki przed obliczem Bożem; zgotuj miłosierdzie i prawdę, niech go strzegą.

He shall endure for ever before God: which of them will seek out his mercy and truth?

8 Tak będę śpiewał imieniowi twemu na wieki, a śluby moje oddawać będę na każdy dzień.

So will I sing to thy name for ever and ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
