رومیان 14

۱ 1 و کسی را که در ایمان ضعیف باشدبپذیرید، لکن نه برای محاجه درمباحثات.

Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.

۲ 2 یکی ایمان دارد که همه‌چیز را بایدخورد اما آنکه ضعیف است بقول می‌خورد.

One person has faith to eat all things, but the one who is weak eats only vegetables.

۳ 3 پس خورنده ناخورنده را حقیر نشمارد وناخورنده بر خورنده حکم نکند زیرا خدا او راپذیرفته است.

Do not let the one who eats despise the one who does not eat. Do not let the one who does not eat judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him.

۴ 4 تو کیستی که بر بنده کسی دیگرحکم می‌کنی؟ او نزد آقای خود ثابت یا ساقطمی شود. لیکن استوار خواهد شد زیرا خدا قادراست که او را ثابت نماید.

Who are you who judge another's servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for the Lord has power to make him stand.

۵ 5 یکی یک روز را از دیگری بهتر می‌داند ودیگری هر روز را برابر می‌شمارد. پس هر کس درذهن خود متیقن بشود.

One esteems one day as more important; and another one esteems every day alike. Let each one be fully convinced in his own mind.

۶ 6 آنکه روز را عزیز می‌داندبخاطر خداوند عزیزش می‌دارد و آنکه روز راعزیز نمی دارد هم برای خداوند نمی دارد؛ و هرکه می‌خورد برای خداوند می‌خورد زیرا خدا راشکر می‌گوید، و آنکه نمی خورد برای خداوندنمی خورد و خدا را شکر می‌گوید.

The one who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and the one who does not observe the day, he does not observe it to the Lord. The one who eats, he eats to the Lord; since he gives thanks to God. And the one who does not eat, he does not eat to the Lord, and gives thanks to God.

۷ 7 زیرا احدی از ما به خود زیست نمی کند و هیچ‌کس به خودنمی میرد.

For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.

۸ 8 زیرا اگر زیست کنیم برای خداوندزیست می‌کنیم و اگر بمیریم برای خداوند می میریم. پس خواه زنده باشیم، خواه بمیریم، ازآن خداوندیم.

For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord's.

۹ 9 زیرا برای همین مسیح مرد وزنده گشت تا بر زندگان و مردگان سلطنت کند.

For to this end Christ died, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

۱۰ 10 لکن تو چرا بر برادر خود حکم می‌کنی؟ یا تونیز چرا برادر خود را حقیر می‌شماری؟ زانرو که همه پیش مسند مسیح حاضر خواهیم شد.

But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

۱۱ 11 زیرا مکتوب است «خداوند می‌گوید به حیات خودم قسم که هر زانویی نزد من خم خواهد شد وهر زبانی به خدا اقرار خواهد نمود.»

For it is written, "'As I live,' says the Lord, 'to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.'"

۱۲ 12 پس هریکی از ما حساب خود را به خدا خواهد داد.

So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.

۱۳ 13 بنابراین بر یکدیگر حکم نکنیم بلکه حکم کنید به اینکه کسی سنگی مصادم یا لغزشی در راه برادر خود ننهد.

Therefore let us not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, not to put a stumbling block in a brother's way, or an occasion for falling.

۱۴ 14 می‌دانم و در عیسی خداوندیقین می‌دارم که هیچ‌چیز در ذات خود نجس نیست جز برای آن کسی‌که آن را نجس پندارد؛ برای او نجس است.

I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except that to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

۱۵ 15 زیرا هرگاه برادرت به خوراک آزرده شود، دیگر به محبت رفتارنمی کنی. به خوراک خود هلاک مساز کسی را که مسیح در راه او بمرد.

Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.

۱۶ 16 پس مگذارید که نیکویی شما را بد گویند.

Then do not let your good be slandered,

۱۷ 17 زیرا ملکوت خدا اکل وشرب نیست بلکه عدالت و سلامتی و خوشی درروح‌القدس.

for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

۱۸ 18 زیرا هر‌که در این امور خدمت مسیح را کند، پسندیده خدا و مقبول مردم است.

For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by people.

۱۹ 19 پس آن اموری را که منشا سلامتی و بنای یکدیگر است پیروی نمایید.

So then, let us follow after things which make for peace, and things by which we may build one another up.

۲۰ 20 بجهت خوراک کار خدا را خراب مساز. البته همه‌چیز پاک است، لیکن بد است برای آن شخص که برای لغزش می‌خورد.

Do not overthrow God's work for food's sake. All things indeed are clean, however it is evil for anyone who creates a stumbling block by eating.

۲۱ 21 گوشت نخوردن و شراب ننوشیدن و کاری نکردن که باعث ایذا یا لغزش یا ضعف برادرت باشد نیکواست.

It is good to not eat meat, drink wine, or do anything by which your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.

۲۲ 22 آیا تو ایمان داری؟ پس برای خودت درحضور خدا آن را بدار، زیرا خوشابحال کسی‌که بر خود حکم نکند در آنچه نیکو می‌شمارد.

The faith you have, keep between yourself and God. Happy is the one who does not judge himself in that which he approves.

۲۳ 23 لکن آنکه شک دارد اگر بخورد ملزم می‌شود، زیرا به ایمان نمی خورد؛ و هر‌چه از ایمان نیست گناه است.

But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because it is not of faith; and whatever is not of faith is sin.
