مزامیر 71

۱ 1 در تو‌ای خداوند پناه برده‌ام، پس تا به ابد خجل نخواهم شد.

In thee, O Yahweh, have I sought refuge, May I not be ashamed unto times age-abiding:

۲ 2 به عدالت خودمرا خلاصی ده و برهان. گوش خود را به من فراگیر و مرا نجات ده.

In thy righteousness, wilt thou rescue me, and deliver me, Incline unto me thine ear, and save me:

۳ 3 برای من صخره سکونت باش تا همه وقت داخل آن شوم. تو به نجات من امر فرموده‌ای، زیرا صخره و قلعه من تو هستی.

Be thou unto me, a Rock to dwell in, a Place of Security, To save me, For, my mountain crag and my stronghold, thou art.

۴ 4 خدایا مرا از دست شریر برهان و از کف بدکار وظالم.

Oh my God, deliver me, From the hand of the lawless one, From the clutch of the perverse and ruthless one;

۵ 5 زیرا‌ای خداوند یهوه، تو امید من هستی و ازطفولیتم اعتماد من بوده‌ای.

For, thou, art my hope, My Lord, Yahweh, My confidence from my youthful days:

۶ 6 از شکم بر توانداخته شده‌ام. از رحم مادرم ملجای من توبوده‌ای و تسبیح من دائم درباره تو خواهد بود.

Upon thee, have I stayed myself from birth, Thou art he that severed me, from the body of my mother, Of thee, shall be my praise—continually.

۷ 7 بسیاری را آیتی عجیب شده‌ام. لیکن تو ملجای زورآور من هستی.

A very wonder, have I been unto many, Seeing that, thou, hast been my strong refuge,

۸ 8 دهانم از تسبیح تو پر است واز کبریایی تو تمامی روز.

My mouth shall be filled with, thy praise, All the day, with thy splendour.

۹ 9 در زمان پیری مرا دور مینداز چون قوتم زایل شود مرا ترک منما.

Do not cast me off in the time of old age, When my vigour faileth, do not forsake me;

۱۰ 10 زیرا دشمنانم بر من حرف می‌زنند و مترصدان جانم با یکدیگرمشورت می‌کنند

For mine enemies have spoken of me, And, they who watch for my life, have taken counsel together;

۱۱ 11 و می‌گویند: «خدا او را ترک کرده است. پس او را تعاقب کرده، بگیرید، زیرا که رهاننده‌ای نیست.»

Saying, God, hath forsaken him, Pursue and take him, For there is none to rescue.

۱۲ 12 ‌ای خدا از من دور مشو. خدایا به اعانت من تعجیل نما.

O God, be not far from me, O my God, to help me, make haste!

۱۳ 13 خصمان جانم خجل و فانی شوند.

Let them be ashamed—be consumed, Who are assailing my life, —Let them be covered with reproach and confusion, Who are seeking my hurt.

۱۴ 14 و اما من دائم امیدوارخواهم بود و بر همه تسبیح تو خواهم افزود.

But, I, continually will hope, And will add to all thy praise;

۱۵ 15 زبانم عدالت تو را بیان خواهد کرد و نجاتت راتمامی روز. زیرا که حد شماره آن را نمی دانم.

My mouth, shall relate thy righteousness, All the day, thy deliverance, For I know not the numbers.

۱۶ 16 در توانایی خداوند یهوه خواهم آمد. و ازعدالت تو و بس خبر خواهم داد.

I will enter into the mighty doings of My Lord—Yahweh, I will make mention of thy righteousness—thine alone.

۱۷ 17 ‌ای خدا ازطفولیتم مرا تعلیم داده‌ای و تا الان، عجایب تو رااعلان کرده‌ام.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youthful days, And, hitherto, have I been wont to tell of thy wonders;

۱۸ 18 پس‌ای خدا، مرا تا زمان پیری وسفید مویی نیز ترک مکن، تا این طبقه را از بازوی تو خبر دهم و جمیع آیندگان را از توانایی تو.

Even now, therefore, that I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, —Until I tell of thine arm unto a [new] generation, Unto every one that is to come, thy might;

۱۹ 19 خدایا عدالت تو تا اعلی علیین است. توکارهای عظیم کرده‌ای. خدایا مانند تو کیست؟

And, as for thy righteousness, O God, up on high, Wherein thou hast wrought great things, O God! who is like unto thee?

۲۰ 20 ‌ای که تنگیهای بسیار و سخت را به ما نشان داده‌ای، رجوع کرده، باز ما را زنده خواهی ساخت؛ و برگشته، ما را از عمق های زمین برخواهی آورد.

Thou who hast let us see many distresses and misfortunes, Wilt again bring us to life, And, out of the resounding depths of the earth, wilt again raise us up;

۲۱ 21 بزرگی مرا مزید خواهی کرد وبرگشته، مرا تسلی خواهی بخشید.

Thou wilt increase my greatness, And, on every side, wilt comfort me.

۲۲ 22 پس من نیزتو را با بربط خواهم ستود، یعنی راستی تو را‌ای خدای من. و تو را‌ای قدوس اسرائیل با عود ترنم خواهم نمود.

I also, will praise thee by the aid of a harp, Thy faithfulness, O my God, —I will make music unto thee with a lyre, Thou holy one of Israel;

۲۳ 23 چون برای تو سرود می‌خوانم لبهایم بسیار شادی خواهد کرد و جانم نیز که آن را فدیه داده‌ای.

My lips shall make a joyful noise, When I make music unto thee, And my soul which thou hast ransomed;

۲۴ 24 زبانم نیز تمامی روز عدالت تورا ذکر خواهد کرد. زیرا آنانی که برای ضرر من می‌کوشیدند خجل و رسوا گردیدند.

Even my tongue, all the day, shall softly utter thy righteousness, For they have turned pale—for they have blushed, Who were seeking my hurt.
