مزامیر 5

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان برذوات نفخه. مزمور داود ای خداوند، به سخنان من گوش بده! درتفکر من تامل فرما!

To the Chief Musician. For the Flutes. A Melody of David. To my words, give ear, O Yahweh, Understand thou my softly murmured prayer:

۲ 2 ‌ای پادشاه و خدای من، به آواز فریادم توجه کن زیرا که نزد تو دعامی کنم.

Attend to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for, unto thee, do I pray.

۳ 3 ‌ای خداوند صبحگاهان آواز مراخواهی شنید؛ بامدادان (دعای خود را) نزد توآراسته می‌کنم و انتظار می‌کشم.

O Yahweh! in the morning, shalt thou hear my voice, In the morning, will I set in order unto thee, and keep watch;

۴ 4 زیرا تو خدایی نیستی که به شرارت راغب باشی، و گناهکار نزدتو ساکن نخواهد شد.

For, not a GOD finding pleasure in lawlessness, art thou, and wrong can be no guest of thine:

۵ 5 متکبران در نظر تونخواهند ایستاد. از همه بطالت کنندگان نفرت می‌کنی.

Boasters, shall not station themselves, before thine eyes, —Thou hatest all workers of iniquity:

۶ 6 دروغ‌گویان را هلاک خواهی ساخت. خداوند شخص خونی و حیله گر را مکروه می‌دارد.

Thou wilt destroy them who speak falsehood, —The man of bloodshed and of deceit, Yahweh abhorreth.

۷ 7 و اما من از کثرت رحمت تو به خانه ات داخل خواهم شد، و از ترس تو بسوی هیکل قدس تو عبادت خواهم نمود.

But, I, in the abounding of thy lovingkindness, will enter thy house, I will bow down towards thy holy temple, in reverence of thee:

۸ 8 ‌ای خداوند، بسبب دشمنانم مرا به عدالت خود هدایت نما وراه خود را پیش روی من راست گردان.

O Yahweh! lead me in thy righteousness, because of mine adversaries, Make even, before me, thy way:

۹ 9 زیرا در زبان ایشان راستی نیست؛ باطن ایشان محض شرارت است؛ گلوی ایشان قبرگشاده است و زبانهای خود را جلا می‌دهند.

For in his mouth is nothing worthy of trust, Their inward purpose, is engulphing ruin, —An opened sepulchre, is their throat, With their tongue, speak they smooth things.

۱۰ 10 ‌ای خدا، ایشان را ملزم ساز تا به‌سبب مشورتهای خود بیفتند، و به کثرت خطایای ایشان، ایشان را دور انداز زیرا که بر تو فتنه کرده‌اند،

Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall by their own counsels, —Into the throng of their own transgressions, thrust them down, For they have rebelled against thee: —

۱۱ 11 و همه متوکلانت شادی خواهند کرد و تا به ابد ترنم خواهند نمود. زیرا که ملجاء ایشان تو هستی و آنانی که اسم تو را دوست می‌دارند درتو وجد خواهند نمود.

That all may rejoice who seek refuge in thee, to times age-abiding, may shout in triumph, that thou wilt protect them, and they may leap for joy in thee who are lovers of thy Name.

۱۲ 12 زیرا تو‌ای خداوند مردعادل را برکت خواهی داد، او را به رضامندی مثل سپر احاطه خواهی نمود.

For, thou, wilt bless the righteous man, O Yahweh, As with an all-covering shield—with good pleasure, wilt thou encompass him.
