| قصیده داود خوشابحال کسی‌که عصیان او آمرزیده شد و گناه وی مستور گردید. | ۱ 1 |
David’s An Instructive Psalm. How happy is he whose transgression is forgiven! whose sin is pardoned!
| خوشابحال کسی‌که خداوند به وی جرمی درحساب نیاورد. و در روح او حیله‌ای نمی باشد. | ۲ 2 |
How happy the son of earth, to whom Yahweh will not reckon iniquity! and in whose spirit is no guile!
| هنگامی که خاموش می‌بودم، استخوانهایم پوسیده می‌شد از نعره‌ای که تمامی روزمی زدم. | ۳ 3 |
When I kept silence, my bones became worn out, Through my groaning all the day;
| چونکه دست تو روز و شب بر من سنگین می‌بود. رطوبتم به خشکی تابستان مبدل گردید، سلاه. | ۴ 4 |
For, day and night, heavy upon me, was thy hand, —Changed was my life-sap into the drought of summer. (Selah)
| به گناه خود نزد تواعتراف کردم و جرم خود را مخفی نداشتم. گفتم: عصیان خود را نزد خداوند اقرارمی کنم. پس تو آلایش گناهم را عفو کردی، سلاه. | ۵ 5 |
My sin, would I own unto thee, and, mine iniquity, not hide, I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Yahweh, And, thou, didst forgive the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)
| از این‌رو هر مقدسی در وقت اجابت نزد تودعا خواهد کرد. وقتی که آبهای بسیار به سیلان آید، هرگز بدو نخواهد رسید. | ۶ 6 |
For this cause, will every man of lovingkindness pray unto thee, in time to obtain, —Surely, in the overflow of many waters, unto him, shall they not reach.
| توملجای من هستی مرا از تنگی حفظ خواهی کرد. مرا به‌سرودهای نجات احاطه خواهی نمود، سلاه. | ۷ 7 |
Thou, art a hiding-place for me, From distress, wilt thou preserve me, —With shouts of deliverance, wilt thou compass me about. (Selah)
| تو را حکمت خواهم آموخت و براهی که باید رفت ارشاد خواهم نمود و تو را به چشم خودکه بر تو است نصیحت خواهم فرمود. | ۸ 8 |
I will make thee discreet, I will point out to thee the way which thou must go, I will fix upon thee mine eye.
| مثل اسب و قاطر بی‌فهم مباشید که آنها را برای بستن به دهنه و لگام زینت می‌دهند، والا نزدیک تونخواهند آمد. | ۹ 9 |
Do not ye become like a horse, like a mule, without discernment, —With the bit and bridle of his mouth, [hast thou] to restrain him, —He will not come near unto thee.
| غمهای شریر بسیار می‌باشد. اما هر‌که برخداوند توکل دارد رحمت او را احاطه خواهد کرد. | ۱۰ 10 |
Many pains, hath the lawless one, —But, he that trusteth in Yahweh, Lovingkindness, shall compass him about.
| ای صالحان در خداوند شادی و وجد کنید و‌ای همه راست دلان ترنم نمایید. | ۱۱ 11 |
Rejoice in Yahweh and exult, O ye righteous, Yea, shout in triumph, all ye upright in heart!
