مزامیر 147

۱ 1 هللویاه، زیرا خدای ما را سراییدن نیکو است و دل پسند، و تسبیح خواندن شایسته است!

Praise ye Yah, For it is good, to make melody to our GOD, —For it is delightful, seemly is praise!

۲ 2 خداوند اورشلیم را بنامی کند و پراکندگان اسرائیل را جمع می‌نماید.

Yahweh, is building Jerusalem, The outcasts of Israel, will he gather together.

۳ 3 شکسته دلان را شفا می‌دهد و جراحت های ایشان را می‌بندد.

He is healing the broken in heart, —and binding up their hurts.

۴ 4 عدد ستارگان را می‌شمارد وجمیع آنها را به نام می‌خواند.

Counting the number of the stars, To all of them—names, he giveth.

۵ 5 خداوند ما بزرگ است و قوت او عظیم و حکمت وی غیرمتناهی.

Great is our Lord, and of abounding strength, And, his knowledge, cannot be expressed.

۶ 6 خداوند مسکینان را برمی افرازد و شریران را به زمین می‌اندازد.

Yahweh, relieveth the humbled! casting the lawless down to the earth.

۷ 7 خداوند را با تشکر بسرایید. خدای ما را با بربط سرود بخوانید.

Respond to Yahweh with thanksgiving, Make melody to our God with the lyre.

۸ 8 که آسمانهارا با ابرها می‌پوشاند و باران را برای زمین مهیامی نماید و گیاه را بر کوهها می‌رویاند.

Who covereth the heavens with clouds, preparing rain for the earth, who causeth the mountains to sprout grass:

۹ 9 که بهایم را آذوقه می‌دهد و بچه های غراب را که او رامی خوانند.

Giving, to the beast, its food, to the young ravens, when they cry.

۱۰ 10 در قوت اسب رغبت ندارد، و ازساقهای انسان راضی نمی باشد.

Not in the strength of the horse, doth he delight, Not in the legs of a man, hath he pleasure:

۱۱ 11 رضامندی خداوند از ترسندگان وی است و از آنانی که به رحمت وی امیدوارند.

Yahweh, hath pleasure, in them who revere him, in them who wait for his lovingkindness.

۱۲ 12 ‌ای اورشلیم، خداوند را تسبیح بخوان. ای صهیون، خدای خود را حمد بگو.

Laud thou, O Jerusalem, Yahweh, Praise thy God, O Zion:

۱۳ 13 زیرا که پشت بندهای دروازه هایت را مستحکم کرده وفرزندانت را در اندرونت مبارک فرموده است.

For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates, He hath blessed thy children in thy midst:

۱۴ 14 که حدود تو را سلامتی می‌دهد و تو را ازمغز گندم سیر می‌گرداند.

Who maketh thy boundaries to be peace, With the marrow of wheat, doth he satisfy thee:

۱۵ 15 که کلام خود را برزمین فرستاده است و قول او به زودی هر‌چه تمام تر می‌دود.

Who sendeth his utterance to the earth, How swiftly, runneth his word!

۱۶ 16 که برف را مثل پشم می‌باراند، و ژاله را مثل خاکستر می‌پاشد.

Who giveth snow like wool, Hoar-frost—like ashes, he scattereth:

۱۷ 17 که تگرگ خودرا در قطعه‌ها می‌اندازد؛ و کیست که پیش سرمای او تواند ایستاد؟

Casting forth his ice like crumbs, Before his cold, who can stand?

۱۸ 18 کلام خود را می‌فرستد وآنها را می‌گدازد. باد خویش را می‌وزاند، پس آبها جاری می‌شود.

He sendeth forth his word and melteth them, He causeth his wind to blow, the waters, stream along:

۱۹ 19 کلام خود را به یعقوب بیان کرده، و فرایض و داوریهای خویش را به اسرائیل.

Declaring his word unto Jacob, His statutes and his regulations, unto Israel.

۲۰ 20 با هیچ امتی چنین نکرده است و داوریهای او را ندانسته‌اند. هللویاه!

He hath not dealt so with any nation, and, his regulations, he maketh not known to them. Praise ye Yah!
