مزامیر 139

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود ای خداوند مرا آزموده وشناخته‌ای.

To the Chief Musician, David’s. A Melody. O Yahweh! thou hast searched me, and observed:

۲ 2 تو نشستن و برخاستن مرا می‌دانی و فکرهای مرا از دور فهمیده‌ای.

Thou, hast observed my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou hast given heed to my desire, from afar:

۳ 3 راه و خوابگاه مرا تفتیش کرده‌ای و همه طریق های مرا دانسته‌ای.

My path and my couch, hast thou examined, and, all my ways, thou well knowest.

۴ 4 زیرا که سخنی بر زبان من نیست، جز اینکه تو‌ای خداوند آن را تمام دانسته‌ای.

Surely there hath not been a word on my tongue, [but] behold! O Yahweh, thou hast observed it on every side.

۵ 5 از عقب و از پیش مرا احاطه کرده‌ای و دست خویش را بر من نهاده‌ای.

Behind and before, hast thou shut me in, and hast laid upon me thy hand: —

۶ 6 این‌گونه معرفت برایم زیاده عجیب است. و بلند است که بدان نمی توانم رسید.

Knowledge, too wonderful, for me! high, I cannot attain to it!

۷ 7 از روح تو کجا بروم؟ و از حضور تو کجابگریزم؟

Whither can I go from thy spirit? or whither, from thy face, can I flee?

۸ 8 اگر به آسمان صعود کنم، تو آنجاهستی! و اگر در هاویه بستر بگسترانم اینک توآنجا هستی! (Sheol h7585)

If I ascend the heavens, there, thou art! If I spread out hades as my couch, behold thee! (Sheol h7585)

۹ 9 اگر بالهای سحر را بگیرم و دراقصای دریا ساکن شوم،

If I mount the wings of the dawn, settle down in the region beyond the sea,

۱۰ 10 در آنجا نیز دست تومرا رهبری خواهد نمود و دست راست تو مراخواهد گرفت.

Even there, thy hand shall lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

۱۱ 11 و گفتم: «یقین تاریکی مرا خواهدپوشانید.» که در حال شب گرداگرد من روشنایی گردید.

If I say, Surely, darkness, shall cover me! then, night, is light about me.

۱۲ 12 تاریکی نیز نزد تو تاریک نیست و شب مثل روز روشن است و تاریکی و روشنایی یکی است.

Even darkness, will not conceal from thee, —but, night, like day, will shine, So is the darkness, as the light!

۱۳ 13 زیرا که تو بر دل من مالک هستی؛ مرا دررحم مادرم نقش بستی.

For, thou, didst possess thyself of my reins, thou didst weave me together in the womb of my mother.

۱۴ 14 تو را حمد خواهم گفت زیرا که به طور مهیب و عجیب ساخته شده‌ام. کارهای تو عجیب است و جان من این رانیکو می‌داند.

I thank thee, in that fearfully was my being distinguished, Wonderful are thy works, and, mine own soul, is observing [them] intently!

۱۵ 15 استخوانهایم از تو پنهان نبودوقتی که در نهان ساخته می‌شدم و در اسفل زمین نقشبندی می‌گشتم.

My substance was not hid from thee, —when I was made in secret, when I was skilfully figured in the lower parts of the earth.

۱۶ 16 چشمان تو جنین مرا دیده است و در دفتر تو همه اعضای من نوشته شده، درروزهایی که ساخته می‌شد، وقتی که یکی از آنهاوجود نداشت.

Mine unfinished substance, thine eyes beheld, and, in thy book, all the parts thereof were written, —the days they should be fashioned! while yet there was not one among them.

۱۷ 17 ‌ای خدا، فکرهای تو نزد من چه قدر گرامی است و جمله آنها چه عظیم است!

To me, then, how precious have thy desires become, O GOD! How numerous, the heads of them!

۱۸ 18 اگر آنها رابشمارم، از ریگ زیاده است. وقتی که بیدارمی شوم هنوز نزد تو حاضر هستم.

I would recount them! Beyond the sands, they multiply, I rouse myself—and am still with thee.

۱۹ 19 یقین‌ای خدا شریران را خواهی کشت. پس‌ای مردمان خون ریز از من دور شوید.

Wilt thou not, O GOD, slay the lawless one? Therefore, ye men of bloodshed, depart from me!

۲۰ 20 زیرا سخنان مکرآمیز درباره تو می‌گویند و دشمنانت نام تو رابه باطل می‌برند.

For they speak of thee wickedly, Thy foes lift up [their hand] unto falsehood.

۲۱ 21 ‌ای خداوند آیا نفرت نمی دارم از آنانی که تو را نفرت می‌دارند، و آیامخالفان تو را مکروه نمی شمارم؟

Do I not hate, them who hate thee, O Yahweh? And loathe, them who rise up against thee?

۲۲ 22 ایشان را به نفرت تام نفرت می‌دارم. ایشان را دشمنان خویشتن می‌شمارم.

With completeness of hatred, I hate them, As enemies, have they become to me.

۲۳ 23 ‌ای خدا مرا تفتیش کن و دل مرا بشناس. مرابیازما و فکرهای مرا بدان،

Search me, O GOD, and observe my heart, Try me, and observe my cares;

۲۴ 24 و ببین که آیا در من راه فساد است! و مرا به طریق جاودانی هدایت فرما.

And see if there be any idol-way in me, and lead me in a way age-abiding.
