اشعیا 62

۱ 1 به‌خاطر صهیون سکوت نخواهم کرد وبه‌خاطر اورشلیم خاموش نخواهم شدتا عدالتش مثل نور طلوع کند و نجاتش مثل چراغی که افروخته باشد.

For Zion’s sake, will I not hold my peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake, will I not rest, —Until her righteousness, go forth as brightness, And her salvation, as a torch that is lighted.

۲ 2 و امت‌ها، عدالت تورا و جمیع پادشاهان، جلال تو را مشاهده خواهند نمود. و تو به اسم جدیدی که دهان خداوند آن را قرار می‌دهد مسمی خواهی شد.

So shall nations see thy righteousness, And all kings, thy glory; And thou shalt be called by a new name, which, the mouth of Yahweh, will name.

۳ 3 و تو تاج جلال، در دست خداوند و افسرملوکانه، در دست خدای خود خواهی بود.

Then shalt thou become—A crown of adorning, in the hand of Yahweh, and A royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

۴ 4 و تودیگر به متروک مسمی نخواهی شد و زمینت رابار دیگر خرابه نخواهند گفت، بلکه تو را حفصیبه و زمینت را بعوله خواهند نامید زیرا خداوند از تومسرور خواهد شد و زمین تو منکوحه خواهدگردید.

Thou shalt he termed no longer—Forsaken Nor shall thy land be termed any longer A desolation, But, thou, shalt be called Hephzibah ["My delight is in her"], And, thy land, Beulah ["married"], —For Yahweh hath found delight in thee, And thy land, shall be married.

۵ 5 زیرا چنانکه مردی جوان دوشیزه‌ای رابه نکاح خویش در می‌آورد هم چنان پسرانت تو را منکوحه خود خواهند ساخت و چنانکه داماداز عروس مبتهج می‌گردد هم چنان خدایت از تومسرور خواهد بود.

For a young man marrieth, a virgin, Thy sons marry thee! And the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride—Thy God, rejoiceth over thee.

۶ 6 ‌ای اورشلیم دیده بانان برحصارهای تو گماشته‌ام که هر روز و هرشب همیشه سکوت نخواهند کرد. ای متذکران خداوند خاموش مباشید!

Upon thy walls O Jerusalem, have I appointed watchmen, All the day and all the night through, let them not hold their peace, —O ye that put Yahweh in mind, Do not take rest to yourselves,

۷ 7 و او را آرامی ندهیدتا اورشلیم را استوار کرده، آن را در جهان محل تسبیح بسازد.

Neither give rest, unto him, Until he establish and until he set forth Jerusalem as a praise in the earth!

۸ 8 خداوند به‌دست راست خود و به بازوی قوی خویش قسم خورده، گفته است که بار دیگرغله تو را ماکول دشمنانت نسازم و غریبان، شراب تو را که برایش زحمت کشیده‌ای نخواهندنوشید.

Sworn hath Yahweh—By his own right hand, and By his own strong arm, —Surely I will give thy corn no more, as food to thine enemies, Nor shall the sons of the foreigner drink thy new wine, for which thou hast toiled;

۹ 9 بلکه آنانی که آن را می‌چینند آن راخورده، خداوند را تسبیح خواهند نمود و آنانی که آن را جمع می‌کنند آن را در صحنهای قدس من خواهند نوشید.

But they who have garnered it, shall eat it, and praise Yahweh, —And they who have gathered in its clusters, shall drink it in my holy courts.

۱۰ 10 بگذرید از دروازه هابگذرید. طریق قوم را مهیا سازید و شاهراه را بلندکرده، مرتفع سازید و سنگها را برچیده علم را به جهت قوم‌ها برپا نمایید.

Pass ye through pass ye through the gates, Prepare ye the way of the people, —Cast ye up, cast ye up the highway, Clear it of stones, Lift ye high a standard unto the peoples.

۱۱ 11 اینک خداوند تااقصای زمین اعلان کرده است، پس به دخترصهیون بگویید اینک نجات تو می‌آید. همانااجرت او همراهش و مکافات او پیش رویش می‌باشد.

Lo! Yahweh, hath sent a message unto the end of the earth: Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Lo! thy Salvation, is coming, —Lo! his reward, is with him, And, his recompense, before him:

۱۲ 12 و ایشان را به قوم مقدس و فدیه شدگان خداوند مسمی خواهند ساخت و تو به مطلوب و شهر غیر متروک نامیده خواهی شد.

So shall men call them—The holy people The redeemed of Yahweh, —And, thou, shalt be called—Sought out, A city not forsaken,
