اشعیا 38

۱ 1 در آن ایام حزقیا بیمار و مشرف به موت شد و اشعیا ابن آموص نبی نزد وی آمده، او را گفت: «خداوند چنین می‌گوید: تدارک خانه خود را ببین زیرا که می‌میری و زنده نخواهی ماند.»

In those days, was Hezekiah sick, unto death, —and Isaiah the prophet son of Amoz came in unto him, and said unto him—Thus, saith Yahweh, Set in order thy house, for, about to die thou art and shalt not recover.

۲ 2 آنگاه حزقیا روی خود را بسوی دیواربرگردانیده، نزد خداوند دعا نمود،

Then Hezekiah turned his face unto the wall, —and prayed unto Yahweh;

۳ 3 و گفت: «ای خداوند مستدعی اینکه بیاد آوری که چگونه به حضور تو به امانت و به دل کامل سلوک نموده‌ام وآنچه در نظر تو پسند بوده است بجا آورده‌ام.» پس حزقیا زار‌زار بگریست.

and said, —I beseech thee, O Yahweh, remember, I pray thee, how I have walked before thee in faithfulness and with an undivided heart, and, that which is good in thine eyes, have I done. And Hezekiah wept aloud.

۴ 4 و کلام خداوند بر اشعیا نازل شده، گفت:

Then came the word of Yahweh unto, Isaiah, saying:

۵ 5 «برو و به حزقیا بگو یهوه خدای پدرت داود چنین می‌گوید: دعای تو راشنیدم و اشکهایت را دیدم. اینک من بر روزهای تو پانزده سال افزودم.

Go, and say unto Hezekiah—Thus, saith Yahweh, the God of David thy father: I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears, —Behold me! about to add unto thy days, fifteen years;

۶ 6 و تو را و این شهر را ازدست پادشاه آشور خواهم رهانید و این شهر راحمایت خواهم نمود.

And out of the hand of the king of Assyria, will I deliver thee, and this city; And I will throw a covering over this city.

۷ 7 و علامت از جانب خداوند که خداوند این کلام را که گفته است بجاخواهد آورد این است:

And, this, to thee, shall be the sign from Yahweh, —that Yahweh will do this thing which he hath spoken: —

۸ 8 اینک سایه درجاتی که از آفتاب بر ساعت آفتابی آحاز پایین رفته است ده درجه به عقب برمی گردانم.» پس آفتاب ازدرجاتی که بر ساعت آفتابی پایین رفته بود، ده درجه برگشت.

Behold me! causing the shadow on the steps, which hath come gone down on the steps of Ahaz with the sun, to return, backwards ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps, by the steps which it had come down.

۹ 9 مکتوب حزقیا پادشاه یهودا وقتی که بیمارشد و از بیماریش شفا یافت:

the writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick and then recovered from his sickness:

۱۰ 10 من گفتم: «اینک در فیروزی ایام خود به درهای هاویه می‌روم و ازبقیه سالهای خود محروم می‌شوم. (Sheol h7585)

I, said—In the noontide of my days, I must enter the gates of hades, —I am deprived of the residue of my years! (Sheol h7585)

۱۱ 11 گفتم: خداوند را مشاهده نمی نمایم. خداوند را در زمین زندگان نخواهم دید. من با ساکنان عالم فنا انسان را دیگر نخواهم دید.

I said—I shall not see Yah, Yah, in the land of the living, I shall discern the son of earth no longer, with the dwellers in the quiet land.

۱۲ 12 خانه من کنده گردید ومثل خیمه شبان از من برده شد. مثل نساج عمرخود را پیچیدم. او مرا از نورد خواهد برید. روز وشب مرا تمام خواهی کرد.

My dwelling, hath been broken up. And is stripped from me, like a shepherd’s tent, —I have rolled up—as a weaver—my life From the loom, doth he cut me off, From day until night, [I said] —Thou wilt finish me.

۱۳ 13 تا صبح انتظارکشیدم. مثل شیر همچنین تمامی استخوانهایم رامی شکند. روز و شب مرا تمام خواهی کرد.

I cried out, until morning, like a lion, Thus, will he break all my bones! From day until night, Thou wilt finish me!

۱۴ 14 مثل پرستوک که جیک جیک می‌کند صدامی نمایم. و مانند فاخته ناله می‌کنم و چشمانم ازنگریستن به بالا ضعیف می‌شود. ای خداوند درتنگی هستم کفیل من باش.

As a twittering swallow, so, do I chatter, I coo as a dove, —Mine eyes languish through looking on high, O My Lord! distress is upon me—my Surety!

۱۵ 15 «چه بگویم چونکه او به من گفته است وخود او کرده است. تمامی سالهای خود را به‌سبب تلخی جانم آهسته خواهم رفت.

What can I say? Since he hath promised for me, Himself, will perform. I will go softly, all my years. Because of the bitterness of my soul,

۱۶ 16 ‌ای خداوند به این چیزها مردمان زیست می‌کنند و به اینها و بس حیات روح من می‌باشد. پس مرا شفابده و مرا زنده نگاه دار.

O My Lord! on those things do men live, —And, altogether in them, is the life of my spirit, When thou hast strengthened me and made me live.

۱۷ 17 اینک تلخی سخت من باعث سلامتی من شد. از راه لطف جانم را از چاه هلاکت برآوردی زیرا که تمامی گناهانم را به پشت سر خود انداختی.

Lo! for well-being, I had bitterness—bitterness, —But, thou, cleaving unto my soul, hast raised me from the pit of corruption, For thou hast cast, behind thy back all my sins.

۱۸ 18 زیرا که هاویه تو راحمد نمی گوید و موت تو را تسبیح نمی خواند. وآنانی که به حفره فرو می‌روند به امانت تو امیدوارنمی باشند. (Sheol h7585)

For, hades, cannot praise thee Nor, death, celebrate thee, —They who go down to the pit cannot wait for thy faithfulness. (Sheol h7585)

۱۹ 19 زندگانند، زندگانند که تو را حمدمی گویند، چنانکه من امروز می‌گویم. پدران به پسران راستی تو را تعلیم خواهند داد.

The living, the living, he, can praise thee, As I do this day, —A father, to his children, can make known thy faithfulness.

۲۰ 20 خداوندبه جهت نجات من حاضر است، پس سرودهایم را در تمامی روزهای عمر خود در خانه خداوندخواهیم سرایید.»

Yahweh, [was willing] to save me, —Therefore, on my stringed instruments, will we play—All the days of our life By the house of Yahweh.

۲۱ 21 و اشعیا گفته بود که قرصی از انجیر بگیریدو آن را بر دمل بنهید که شفا خواهد یافت.

And Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs, and let them press it over the boil, that he may recover.

۲۲ 22 وحزقیا گفته بود علامتی که به خانه خداوندبرخواهم آمد چیست؟

And Hezekiah had said—What is the sign—that I shall go up unto the house of Yahweh?
