اشعیا 26

۱ 1 در آن روز این سرود در زمین یهوداسراییده خواهد شد؛ ما را شهری قوی است که دیوارها و حصار آن نجات است.

In that day, shall be sung this song, in the land of Judah, —A strong city, have we! Salvation, will he set for walls and rampart,

۲ 2 دروازه‌ها را بگشایید تا امت عادل که امانت رانگاه می‌دارند داخل شوند.

Open ye the gates, —That there may enter in—a righteous nation preserving fidelity.

۳ 3 دل ثابت را درسلامتی کامل نگاه خواهی داشت، زیرا که بر توتوکل دارد.

A purpose sustained, thou wilt guard, [saying], Prosper! Prosper! Because in thee, hath he been led to trust.

۴ 4 بر خداوند تا به ابد توکل نمایید، چونکه در یاه یهوه صخره جاودانی است.

Trust ye in Yahweh, unto futurity, —For, in Yah, Yahweh, is a rock of ages.

۵ 5 زیراآنانی را که بر بلندیها ساکنند فرود می‌آورد. وشهر رفیع را به زیر می‌اندازد. آن را به زمین انداخته، با خاک یکسان می‌سازد.

For he hath brought down the inhabitants of the height the city exalted, —He layeth it low, Layeth it low even to the ground, Levelleth it, even to the dust:

۶ 6 پایها آن راپایمال خواهد کرد. یعنی پایهای فقیران وقدمهای مسکینان.

The foot trampleth it, —The feet of the lowly, The steps of the weak,

۷ 7 طریق عادلان استقامت است. ای تو که مستقیم هستی طریق عادلان را هموار خواهی ساخت.

The path of a righteous man, is, even, —O Upright One! the track of a righteous man, thou makest level.

۸ 8 پس‌ای خداوند در طریق داوریهای توانتظار تو را کشیده‌ایم. و جان ما به اسم تو و ذکر تو مشتاق است.

Surely in the path of thy regulations, O Yahweh, we waited for thee, —Unto thy Name and unto thy Memorial, was there a longing of soul:

۹ 9 شبانگاه به‌جان خود مشتاق توهستم. و بامدادان به روح خود در اندرونم تو رامی طلبم. زیرا هنگامی که داوریهای تو بر زمین آید سکنه ربع مسکون عدالت را خواهندآموخت.

With my soul, longed I for thee in the night, Yea with my spirit within me, I kept on searching for thee, —For, when thy regulations [extend] to the earth, The inhabitants of the world will have learned, righteousness.

۱۰ 10 هرچند بر شریر ترحم شود عدالت را نخواهد آموخت. در زمین راستان شرارت می‌ورزد و جلال خداوند را مشاهده نمی نماید.

Let favour be shewed to the lawless, he hath not learned righteousness, In a land of honest dealings, he acteth perversely, —And seeth not the splendour of Yahweh.

۱۱ 11 ‌ای خداوند دست تو برافراشته شده است امانمی بینند. لیکن چون غیرت تو را برای قوم ملاحظه کنند خجل خواهند شد. و آتش نیزدشمنانت را فرو خواهد برد.

O Yahweh though thy hand be lifted up, —yet do they not see, Would they might see—and turn pale at a people’s zeal, —Surely, the fire of thine enemies, must consume them!

۱۲ 12 ‌ای خداوند سلامتی را برای ما تعیین خواهی نمود. زیرا که تمام کارهای ما را نیز برای ما به عمل آورده‌ای.

O Yahweh, thou wilt ensure prosperity for us, —For even all our works, hast thou wrought for us,

۱۳ 13 ‌ای یهوه خدای ما آقایان غیر از تو بر ما استیلا داشتند. اما به تو فقط اسم تورا ذکر خواهیم کرد.

O Yahweh, our God! Lords other than thee, have owned us, —By thyself alone, will we call upon thy Name.

۱۴ 14 ایشان مردند و زنده نخواهند شد. خیالها گردیدند و نخواهندبرخاست. بنابراین ایشان را سزا داده، هلاک ساختی و تمام ذکر ایشان را محو نمودی.

The dead, come not to life again, The shades, do not arise, —Therefore, thou hast visited and destroyed them, And caused to perish every memorial of them.

۱۵ 15 قوم را افزودی‌ای خداوند قوم را مزید ساخته، خویشتن را جلال دادی. و تمامی حدود زمین راوسیع گردانیدی.

Thou hast increased the nation, O Yahweh, Thou hast increased the nation thou hast gotten thyself glory, Thou hast extended far, all the ends of the land.

۱۶ 16 ‌ای خداوند ایشان در حین تنگی، تو راخواهند طلبید. و چون ایشان را تادیب نمایی دعاهای خفیه خواهند ریخت.

O Yahweh! in distress, they sought thee, —They poured out a whispered prayer, when thy chastening was upon them.

۱۷ 17 مثل زن حامله‌ای که نزدیک زاییدن باشد و درد او راگرفته، از آلام خود فریاد بکند همچنین ما نیز‌ای خداوند در حضور تو هستیم.

Like as a woman with child—Draweth near to giving birth, Is in pain, Crieth out in her pangs So, were we before thee, O Yahweh; —

۱۸ 18 حامله شده، دردزه ما را گرفت و باد را زاییدیم. و در زمین هیچ نجات به ظهور نیاوردیم. و ساکنان ربع مسکون نیفتادند.

We were with child—We were in pain, As it were we brought forth wind, —Salvation, we could not accomplish for the earth, Neither were born the inhabitants of the world.

۱۹ 19 مردگان تو زنده خواهند شد و جسدهای من خواهند برخاست. ای شما که در خاک ساکنیدبیدار شده، ترنم نمایید! زیرا که شبنم تو شبنم نباتات است. و زمین مردگان خود را بیرون خواهدافکند.

Thy dead, shall come to life again, My dead body, they shall arise, —Awake and shout for joy, ye that dwell in the dust For, a dew of light, is thy dew, And, earth, to the shades shall give birth.

۲۰ 20 ‌ای قوم من بیایید به حجره های خویش داخل شوید و درهای خود را در عقب خویش ببندید. خویشتن را اندک لحظه‌ای پنهان کنید تاغضب بگذرد.

Come my people, enter into thy chambers, And shut thy doors behind thee, —Hide thee as it were a little moment Till the indignation pass over.

۲۱ 21 زیرا اینک خداوند از مکان خود بیرون می‌آید تا سزای گناهان ساکنان زمین را به ایشان برساند. پس زمین خونهای خود رامکشوف خواهد ساخت و کشتگان خویش رادیگر پنهان نخواهد نمود.

For lo! Yahweh, is coming forth out of his place, To visit the iniquity of earth’s inhabitant upon him, —Therefore shall the earth unveil her shed-blood, And throw a covering, no longer over her slain.
