| اینک خداوند زمین را خالی و ویران می کند، و آن را واژگون ساخته، ساکنانش را پراکنده می‌سازد. | ۱ 1 |
Lo! Yahweh emptying the earth and laying it waste, —And he will overturn the face thereof, And scatter them who dwell therein.
| و مثل قوم، مثل کاهن و مثل بنده، مثل آقایش و مثل کنیز، مثل خاتونش و مثل مشتری، مثل فروشنده و مثل قرض دهنده، مثل قرض گیرنده و مثل سودخوار، مثل سود دهنده خواهد بود. | ۲ 2 |
And it shall be—As the people, so, the priest, As the servant, so his lord, As the maid, so, her mistress, —As the buyer, so, the seller, As the lender, so, the borrower, As the debtor, so! his creditor.
| و زمین بالکل خالی و بالکل غارت خواهد شد زیرا خداوند این سخن را گفته است. | ۳ 3 |
Emptied—emptied—shall be the earth yea pillaged—pillaged, —For, Yahweh, hath spoken this word.
| زمین ماتم می‌کند و پژمرده می‌شود. ربع مسکون کاهیده و پژمرده می‌گردد، شریفان اهل زمین کاهیده می‌شوند. | ۴ 4 |
Mourneth, fadeth, the earth Languisheth, fadeth, the world, —Languished have the lofty of the people of the earth.
| زمین زیرساکنانش ملوث می‌شود زیرا که از شرایع تجاوزنموده و فرایض را تبدیل کرده و عهد جاودانی راشکسته‌اند. | ۵ 5 |
Yea the earth itself is profaned under them who dwell therein, —For they have Set aside laws, Gone beyond statute, Broken an age-abiding covenant.
| بنابراین لعنت، جهان را فانی کرده است و ساکنانش سزا یافته‌اند لهذا ساکنان زمین سوخته شده‌اند و مردمان، بسیار کم باقی‌مانده‌اند. | ۶ 6 |
For this cause, a curse, hath devoured the earth, And punished are the dwellers therein, —For this cause, are burned the inhabitants of the earth, And the men left remaining—are few.
| شیره انگور ماتم می‌گیرد و مو کاهیده می‌گردد وتمامی شاددلان آه می‌کشند. | ۷ 7 |
Mourneth the new wine. Withereth the vine, —Sighing are all the merryhearted:
| شادمانی دفها تلف شده، آواز عشرت کنندگان باطل و شادمانی بربطها ساکت خواهد شد. | ۸ 8 |
Ceased hath the mirth of timbrels, Ended is the noise of the uproarious, —Ceased hath the mirth of the lyre:
| شراب را با سرودهانخواهند آشامید و مسکرات برای نوشندگانش تلخ خواهد شد. | ۹ 9 |
With a song, they drink not wine, —Bitter is strong drink, to them who drink it:
| قریه خرابه منهدم می‌شود وهر خانه بسته می‌گردد که کسی داخل آن نتواندشد. | ۱۰ 10 |
Broken down is the city of desolation, —Shut up every house that it cannot be entered.
| غوغایی برای شراب در کوچه‌ها است. هرگونه شادمانی تاریک گردیده و سرور زمین رفع شده است. | ۱۱ 11 |
There is an outcry concerning wine in the streets, —Darkened is all joy, Departed the gladness of the earth.
| ویرانی در شهر باقی است ودروازه هایش به هلاکت خرد شده است. | ۱۲ 12 |
There is left in the city. desolation, —And to ruins, have been broken the gate.
| زیرا که در وسط زمین در میان قوم هایش چنین خواهدشد مثل تکانیدن زیتون و مانند خوشه هایی که بعد از چیدن انگور باقی می‌ماند. | ۱۳ 13 |
When, thus, it shall be in the earth in the midst of the peoples, [There shall be] like the shaking of an olive-tree, like the going round to pick when closed is the harvest.
| اینان آواز خود را بلند کرده، ترنم خواهندنمود و درباره کبریایی خداوند از دریا صداخواهند زد. | ۱۴ 14 |
They, shall lift up their voice—shall raise a tremulous note, —On account of the splendour of Yahweh, have they made a shrill cry, on the West;
| از این جهت خداوند را در بلادمشرق و نام یهوه خدای اسرائیل را درجزیره های دریا تمجید نمایید. | ۱۵ 15 |
For this cause, In the Regions of Light, give ye glory to Yahweh, —In the Coastlands of the Sea, unto the Name of Yahweh. God of Israel,
| از کرانهای زمین سرودها را شنیدیم که عادلان را جلال باد. اما گفتم: وا حسرتا، وا حسرتا، وای بر من! خیانت کاران خیانت ورزیده، خیانت کاران به شدت خیانت ورزیده‌اند. | ۱۶ 16 |
From the uttermost part of the earth, melodies, have we heard—Beauty, to the righteous one! But I had said—Ruin to me! Ruin to me! Woe to me! Traitors, have betrayed, Yea traitorously, have traitors betrayed!
| ای ساکن زمین ترس و حفره و دام بر تو است. | ۱۷ 17 |
Terror and pit and snare, —are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth!
| و واقع خواهد شد که هرکه از آواز ترس بگریزد به حفره خواهد افتاد وهر‌که از میان حفره برآید گرفتار دام خواهد شدزیرا که روزنه های علیین باز شده و اساسهای زمین متزلزل می‌باشد. | ۱۸ 18 |
So shall it be—He that fleeth from the sound of the terror! shall fall into the pit, And, he that getteth up out of the midst of the pit, shall be captured in the snare, —For, the windows on high, have opened, And shaken are the foundations of earth.
| زمین بالکل منکسرشده. زمین تمام از هم پاشیده و زمین به شدت متحرک گشته است. | ۱۹ 19 |
The earth breaketh, breaketh, —The earth crasheth, crasheth, The earth tottereth, tottereth;
| زمین مثل مستان افتان وخیزان است و مثل سایه بان به چپ و راست متحرک و گناهش بر آن سنگین است. پس افتاده است که بار دیگر نخواهد برخاست. | ۲۰ 20 |
The earth staggereth—staggereth like a drunken man, And rocketh to and fro like a night-hut, —So shall be heavy upon her, her transgression, And she shall fall and not again rise.
| و در آن روز واقع خواهد شد که خداوندگروه شریفان را بر مکان بلند ایشان و پادشاهان زمین را بر زمین سزا خواهد داد. | ۲۱ 21 |
And it shall be in that day, That Yahweh will bring punishment Upon the host of the height in the height, —And upon the kings of the ground on the ground.
| و ایشان مثل اسیران در چاه جمع خواهند شد و درزندان بسته خواهند گردید و بعد از روزهای بسیار، ایشان طلبیده خواهند شد. | ۲۲ 22 |
And they shall be swept together in a crowd, fettered for a pit, And shall be lowered into a dungeon, —And, after many days, shall they be punished.
| و ماه خجل و آفتاب رسوا خواهد گشت زیرا که یهوه صبایوت در کوه صهیون و در اورشلیم و به حضور مشایخ خویش، با جلال سلطنت خواهدنمود. | ۲۳ 23 |
Then shall blush the silvery moon, Then turn pale the glowing sun, —Because Yahweh of hosts hath become king In Mount Zion And in Jerusalem, And before his Elders in glory,
