اشعیا 22

۱ 1 وحی درباره وادی رویا: الان تو را چه شد که کلیه بر بامهابرآمدی؟

The oracle on the valley of vision, —What aileth thee, then, That thou art wholly gone up to the house-tops?

۲ 2 ‌ای که پر از شورشها هستی و‌ای شهرپرغوغا و‌ای قریه مفتخر. کشتگانت کشته شمشیر نیستند و در جنگ هلاک نشده‌اند.

With tumults, art thou filled, thou citadel in commotion! city exultant! Thy slain, are Not the slain, of the sword, Nor the dead in battle.

۳ 3 جمیع سرورانت با هم گریختند و بدون تیراندازان اسیر گشتند. همگانی که در تو یافت شدند با هم اسیر گردیدند و به‌جای دور فرارکردند.

All thy ruler, having fled, together, by the bow, are taken captive: All found in thee have been taken captive, together, Far away, have they fled.

۴ 4 بنابراین گفتم نظر خود را از من بگردانیدزیرا که با تلخی گریه می‌کنم. برای تسلی من درباره خرابی دختر قومم الحاح مکنید.

For this cause, I said—Look away from me, Bitterly, will I weep, —Do not press to comfort me, For the ruin of the daughter of my people.

۵ 5 زیرا خداوند یهوه صبایوت روز آشفتگی وپایمالی و پریشانی‌ای در وادی رویا دارد. دیوارها را منهدم می‌سازند و صدای استغاثه تا به کوهها می‌رسد.

For a day of confusion and downtreading and perplexity, pertaineth to My Lord, Yahweh of hosts, in the valley of vision, an undermining of walls, and a crying for help to the mountain.

۶ 6 و عیلام با افواج مردان و سواران ترکش را برداشته است و قیر سپر را مکشوف نموده است،

Yea, Elam, beareth the quiver, With trains of men, [and] horsemen, —And, Kir, hath uncovered the shield.

۷ 7 و وادیهای بهترینت از ارابه‌ها پرشده، سواران پیش دروازه هایت صف آرایی می‌نمایند،

And it hath come to pass that the choice of thy vales, are full of chariots; Yea, the horsemen, have set themselves, in array, at the gate.

۸ 8 و پوشش یهودا برداشته می‌شود ودر آن روز به اسلحه خانه جنگل نگاه خواهیدکرد.

Then removed he the veil of Judah, —Yea thou didst peer on that day, into the armoury of the forest-house;

۹ 9 و رخنه های شهر داود را که بسیارندخواهید دید و آب برکه تحتانی را جمع خواهیدنمود.

And the breaches in the city of David, ye beheld for they were many, —So ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool;

۱۰ 10 و خانه های اورشلیم را خواهید شمرد وخانه‌ها را به جهت حصاربندی دیوارها خراب خواهید نمود.

And the houses of Jerusalem, ye counted, —And brake down the houses, to fortify the wall;

۱۱ 11 و درمیان دو دیوار حوضی برای آب برکه قدیم خواهید ساخت اما به صانع آن نخواهید نگریست و به آنکه آن را از ایام پیشین ساخته است نگران نخواهید شد.

And a reservoir, ye made between the two walls, for the waters of the ancient pool, —And had no regard unto him that made it, Nor unto him that formed it long ago, had ye respect.

۱۲ 12 و در آن روزخداوند یهوه صبایوت (شما را) به گریستن و ماتم کردن و کندن مو و پوشیدن پلاس خواهدخواند.

And, when My Lord Yahweh of hosts called in that day, —for weeping, and for lamentation, and for shaving bare and for girding with sackcloth,

۱۳ 13 و اینک شادمانی و خوشی و کشتن گاوان و ذبح کردن گوسفندان و خوردن گوشت ونوشیدن شراب خواهد بود که بخوریم و بنوشیم زیرا که فردا می‌میریم.

Then lo! joy and rejoicing, killing oxen and slaughtering sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine, —Let us eat and drink, For to-morrow, we may die!

۱۴ 14 و یهوه صبایوت درگوش من اعلام کرده است که این گناه شما تابمیرید هرگز کفاره نخواهد شد. خداوند یهوه صبایوت این را گفته است.

Therefore did Yahweh reveal himself in mine ears. Surely there shall be no propitiatory-covering put over this iniquity for you until ye die, Saith My Lord Yahweh of hosts.

۱۵ 15 خداوند یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید: «برو و نزد این خزانه‌دار یعنی شبنا که ناظر خانه است داخل شو و به او بگو:

Thus, said My Lord Yahweh, of hosts, Come go in unto this steward, Unto Shebna, who is over the house:

۱۶ 16 تو را در اینجا چه‌کار است و در اینجا که را داری که در اینجا قبری برای خود کنده‌ای؟ ای کسی‌که قبر خود را درمکان بلند می‌کنی و مسکنی برای خویشتن درصخره می‌تراشی.»

What doest thou here? And whom hast thou here? That thou hast hewn for thyself here a sepulchre, —As one hewing on high his sepulchre, Cutting out in the cliff a habitation for himself?

۱۷ 17 اینک‌ای مرد، خداوند البته تو را دورخواهد انداخت و البته تو را خواهد پوشانید.

Lo! Yahweh, is about to hurl thee, with a hurl, O mighty man, —And roll thee with a roll;

۱۸ 18 والبته تو را مثل گوی سخت خواهد پیچید و به زمین وسیع تو را خواهد افکند و در آنجا خواهی مرد و در آنجا ارابه های شوکت تو رسوایی خانه آقایت خواهد شد.

He will, toss, thee, with a toss, like a ball, into a country wide on both hands, —There, shalt thou die, And there shall thy glorious chariots be the contempt of the house of thy lord.

۱۹ 19 و تو را از منصبت خواهم راند و از مکانت به زیر افکنده خواهی شد.

Thus will I thrust thee out from thine office, —And from thy station, shall one tear thee down.

۲۰ 20 و در آن روز واقع خواهد شد که بنده خویش الیاقیم بن حلقیا را دعوت خواهم نمود.

And it shall come to pass in that day, That I will call for my servant, for Eliakim son of Hilkiah,

۲۱ 21 و او را به‌جامه تو ملبس ساخته به کمربندت محکم خواهم ساخت و اقتدار تو را به‌دست اوخواهم داد و او ساکنان اورشلیم و خاندان یهودارا پدر خواهد بود.

And will clothe him with thy tunic And with thy girdle, will I gird him, And thine authority, will I deliver into his hand, —So shall he become a father To the inhabitant of Jerusalem and To the house of Judah.

۲۲ 22 و کلید خانه داود را بر دوش وی خواهم نهاد و چون بگشاید احدی نخواهدبست و چون ببندد، احدی نخواهد گشاد.

And I will lay the key of the house of David upon his shoulder, —And he shall open and none shall shut, And shut and none shall open;

۲۳ 23 و او را در جای محکم مثل میخ خواهم دوخت و برای خاندان پدر خود کرسی جلال خواهد بود.

And I will fasten him as a peg in a sure place, —And he shall become a throne of glory, to the house of his father;

۲۴ 24 وتمامی جلال خاندان پدرش را از اولاد و احفاد وهمه ظروف کوچک را از ظروف کاسه‌ها تا ظروف تنگها بر او خواهند آویخت.

And they shall hang upon him all the weight of his father’s house—The offshoots and the side-twigs—All the small vessels, Both the cups and all the jugs

۲۵ 25 و یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید که در آن روز آن میخی که در مکان محکم دوخته شده متحرک خواهد گردید و قطع شده، خواهد افتاد و باری که بر آن است، تلف خواهد شد زیرا خداوند این راگفته است.

In that day, —Declareth Yahweh of hosts Shall the peg, give way, that was fastened in a sure place, —Yea it shall be cut off and fall And the burden that was upon it shall perish, For, Yahweh, hath spoken!
