| وحی درباره بابل که اشعیا ابن آموص آن را دید. | ۱ 1 |
The oracle on Babylon, —of which Isaiah, son of Amoz had vision: —
| علمی بر کوه خشک برپا کنید و آواز به ایشان بلند نمایید، با دست اشاره کنید تا به درهای نجبا داخل شوند. | ۲ 2 |
Upon a bare mountain, lift ye up a standard, Raise high the voice to them, Wave the hand, That they may enter the doors of nobles.
| من مقدسان خود رامامور داشتم و شجاعان خویش یعنی آنانی را که در کبریای من وجد می‌نمایند به جهت غضبم دعوت نمودم. | ۳ 3 |
I myself, have given charge to my hallowed ones, —Yea I have called My heroes in showing mine anger, My proudly exulting ones.
| آواز گروهی در کوه‌ها مثل آوازخلق کثیر. آواز غوغای ممالک امت‌ها که جمع شده باشند. یهوه صبایوت لشکر را برای جنگ سان می‌بیند. | ۴ 4 |
The noise of a multitude in the mountains, A resemblance of many people, —The noise of a tumult of kingdoms Nations gathered together, Yahweh of hosts, mustering a host for battle!
| ایشان از زمین بعید و از کرانه های آسمان می‌آیند. یعنی خداوند با اسلحه غضب خود تا تمامی جهان را ویران کند. | ۵ 5 |
They are coming in From a land far away. From the utmost bound of the heavens, —Yahweh—with his weapons of indignation, To destroy the land.
| ولوله کنیدزیرا که روز خداوند نزدیک است، مثل هلاکتی ازجانب قادر مطلق می‌آید. | ۶ 6 |
Howl ye! for at hand is the day of Yahweh, —As a veritable destruction from the Almighty, shall it come.
| از این جهت همه دستها سست می‌شود و دلهای همه مردم گداخته می‌گردد. | ۷ 7 |
For this cause—All hands, shall hang down, —and Every mortal heart, melt.
| و ایشان متحیر شده، المها و دردهای زه بر ایشان عارض می‌شود، مثل زنی که می‌زایددرد می‌کشند. بر یکدیگر نظر حیرت می‌اندازند ورویهای ایشان رویهای شعله‌ور می‌باشد. | ۸ 8 |
And they shall be in distress—Writhings and pains, shall lay hold, As a woman in childbirth, shall they be in pangs, —Everyone, at his neighbour, shall look in amazement, Faces of flames, their faces!
| اینک روز خداوند با غضب و شدت خشم و ستمکیشی می‌آید، تا جهان را ویران سازد و گناهکاران را ازمیانش هلاک نماید. | ۹ 9 |
Lo! the day of Yahweh, coming in, Fierce and overflowing, and burning with anger, —To devote the earth to desolation, And her sinners, will he destroy out of it.
| زیرا که ستارگان آسمان وبرجهایش روشنایی خود را نخواهند داد. وآفتاب در وقت طلوع خود تاریک خواهد شد وماه روشنایی خود را نخواهد تابانید. | ۱۰ 10 |
For the stars of the heavens and their constellations, shall not flash forth their light, —Obscured shall be the sun in his going forth, And the moon, shall not shed her light.
| و من ربع مسکون را به‌سبب گناه و شریران را به‌سبب عصیان ایشان سزا خواهم داد، و غرور متکبران راتباه خواهم ساخت و تکبر جباران را به زیرخواهم‌انداخت. | ۱۱ 11 |
And I will visit, upon the inhabited earth, calamity!, And upon the lawless, their punishment, And will quiet the arrogance of the proud, And the loftiness of tyrants, will I lay low.
| و مردم را از زر خالص وانسان را از طلای اوفیر کمیابتر خواهم گردانید. | ۱۲ 12 |
I will cause, a man, to be more precious than fine gold, —Even a son of earth than, the finest gold of Ophir.
| بنابراین آسمان را متزلزل خواهم ساخت وزمین از جای خود متحرک خواهد شد. در حین غضب یهوه صبایوت و در روز شدت خشم او. | ۱۳ 13 |
For this cause, the heavens, will I disturb, And, the earth, shall tremble out of her place, —In the wrath of Yahweh of hosts, And in the day of the glow of his anger.
| و مثل آهوی رانده شده و مانند گله‌ای که کسی آن را جمع نکند خواهند بود. و هرکس به سوی قوم خود توجه خواهد نمود و هر شخص به زمین خویش فرار خواهد کرد. | ۱۴ 14 |
And it shall be—Like a gazelle that is chased, And like a sheep with none to lift it up, —Each, to his own people, will they turn, And, each, to his own land, will they flee:
| و هرکه یافت شود با نیزه زده خواهد شد و هرکه گرفته شود با شمشیر خواهد افتاد. | ۱۵ 15 |
Every one found, shall be thrust through, —And, every one taken, shall fall by the sword;
| اطفال ایشان نیز در نظرایشان به زمین انداخته شوند و خانه های ایشان غارت شود و زنان ایشان بی‌عصمت گردند. | ۱۶ 16 |
And, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, before their eyes, —Plundered shall be, their houses, and their wives ravished.
| اینک من مادیان را بر ایشان خواهم برانگیخت که نقره را به حساب نمی آورند و طلا را دوست نمی دارند. | ۱۷ 17 |
Behold me! stirring up against them the Medes, —Who of silver, shall take no account, And as for gold, they shall not delight in it;
| و کمانهای ایشان جوانان را خردخواهد کرد. و بر ثمره رحم ترحم نخواهند نمودو چشمان ایشان بر اطفال شفقت نخواهد کرد. | ۱۸ 18 |
And, bows, shall dash the young to pieces, —And on the fruit of the womb, will they have no pity, Over children, will their eye throw no shield.
| و بابل که جلال ممالک و زینت فخر کلدانیان است، مثل واژگون ساختن خدا سدوم و عموره راخواهد شد. | ۱۹ 19 |
Thus shall Babylon—The most lovely of kingdoms, The majestic beauty of the Chaldees—Become as in the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah.
| و تا به ابد آباد نخواهد شد و نسلابعد نسل مسکون نخواهد گردید. و اعراب درآنجا خیمه نخواهند زد و شبانان گله‌ها را در آنجانخواهند خوابانید. | ۲۰ 20 |
It shall not be dwelt in for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited from generation to generation, —Neither shall encamp there, an Arab, Nor, shepherds, fold their flocks there.
| بلکه وحوش صحرا درآنجا خواهند خوابید و خانه های ایشان از بومهاپر خواهد شد. شترمرغ در آنجا ساکن خواهد شدو غولان در آنجا رقص خواهند کرد، | ۲۱ 21 |
Then shall lie down there, wild beasts, And filled shall be their houses with owls, —Then shall inhabit there, the ostrich, And shaggy creatures, shall dance there.
| و شغالهادر قصرهای ایشان و گرگها در کوشکهای خوش نما صدا خواهند زد و زمانش نزدیک است که برسد و روزهایش طول نخواهد کشید. | ۲۲ 22 |
And jackals shall answer, in their citadels, And wild dogs, in their voluptuous palaces, —And near to come is her time, And, her days, shall not be delayed.
