Luka 17
1 Yesu atikuwabakiya benepunzi bake, “makowe yagasababisha bandu bapange sambi hana budi pitya, lakini ole winu mundu ywasababisha!
He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
2 Bora panga nyoo mana mundu yoo atitabilwa liwe lanatopa lya yagio paingo ni kumtaika mu'bahari, kuliko kumpanga yumo wa haba achunu atenda sambi.
It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Muilindange, mana nnongo wako atikukosea umketeboye, ni ywembe akitubu umsamehe.
Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he makes teshuvah ·complete repentance·, forgive him.
4 Mana akukoseite mara saba kwa lichoba limo ni mara saba kwa lichoba limo aichile kwako baya,'nindatubu,'umsamee”
If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I make teshuvah ·complete repentance·,’ you shall forgive him.”
5 Mitume bak batikum'bakiya Ngwana, “utuyongekee imani yitu,”
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our trusting faith.”
6 Ngwana abayite, “mana mwabile na imani kati punje ya haradari, mwawezite kuubakiya nkongo wono wa munene, kuutapwa ni ukabolike mubahari, nakwe ungebatii.
The Lord said, “If you had trusting faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
7 Lakini nyai kati yinu, abile ni mtumishi ywalema mng'unda wake ama ywachunga ngondolo, apala kum'bakiya pabuya kung'unda, uwiche haraka ni keti uliye chakulya.
But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table,’
8 Je apala kum'bakiya,'uniandalie chakulya nilye, ni uitabe mkanda ni unitumikie mpaka paniyomwa lya na nywaa. Badala ya poo apala lya na nywaa?
and will not rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?
9 Hapakumshukuru mtumishi ywoo kwasababu atimizite galo abakilwe?
Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
10 Nyonyonyo ni mwenga mana mupangite yaniwalagile mubaye twenga tu atumishi tustahili kwaa, tupangite tu galo gatupasayo panga.'
Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”
11 Yatikuwapitya kwamba pabile safarini yenda Yerusalemu, atipita mpakani mwa Samaria ni Galilaya.
As he was on his way to Jerusalem [City of peace], he was passing along the borders of Samaria [Watch-mountain] and Galilee [District, Circuit].
12 Pajingile pakijiji chimo, kwoo atikoliana ni bandu komi bababile ni ukoma, atiyema kuutalu.
As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy· met him, who stood at a distance.
13 Batondobiye lilobe baya, “Yesu Ngwana hutuhurumiye.”
They lifted up their voices, saying, “Yeshua [Salvation], Master, have mercy on us!”
14 Pababweni atikuwabakiya, “Muyende mukailaye kwa makuhani,” nabo pababile andayenda batitakasika.
When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.
15 Yumo wabe pabweni kwamba aponi, atibuya kwa lilobe likolo atikumsifu Nnongo.
One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
16 Atikilikita mumagolo ya Yesu atikushukuru, yembe abile Msamaria.
He fell on his face at Yeshua [Salvation]'s feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan [person from Watch-mountain].
17 Yesu kayangwa, kabaya, “Je batakasike kwaa boti komi? babile kwako balo benge tisa?
Yeshua [Salvation] answered, “Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
18 Ntopo hata yumo ywabonekine buya lenga kumtukuza Nnongo, bali yono mgeni?
Were there none found who teshuvah ·completely returned· to give glory to God, except this stranger?”
19 Ammakiye, “Ukatuke ni uyende zako imani yako ikuponyile.”
Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your trusting faith has healed you.”
20 Palokiye ni Mafarisayo ufalme wa Nnongohiucha lichoba lyako? Yesu atibaya, “Ufalme wa Nnongo kilebe cha wezekana kwaa bonekana.
Being asked by the Pharisees [Separated] when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom does not come with observation;
21 Wala, bandu bapala baya kwaa, “mulinge pano! ama, mulinge kolo! kwa maana ufalme wa Nnongo ubile nkati yinu”
neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”
22 Yesu atikuwabakiya anapunzi bamke, wakati upalaika ambapo mpala tamani kuibona yumo la lichoba la mwana wa Adamu, lakini mupala kulibona kwaa.
He said to the disciples, “The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
23 Wapala kum'bakiya, mulinge, kolo! mulinge pano!' Lakini kana muyende linga, wala kubakengama.
They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away, nor follow after them,
24 Kati umeme wa njai umulikao katika anga tumbulia upande umo hadi wenge. Nga nyoo hata mwana wa Adamu aba nyo katika lichoba lyake.
for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.
25 Lakini kwanza impasa teseka katika makowe yanambone ni kumkana ni kizazi cheno.
But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26 Kati yalibile lichoba lya Nuhu, ngaipalanga katika lichoba lya mwana wa Adamu.
As it was in the days of Noah [Rest], even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
27 Walile, na nywaa, bakikobeka ni konda mpaka lichoba lelo ambalo Nuhu pajingie katika safina ni mafuriko paichile ni kubaangamiza boti.
They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah [Rest] entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Nga chaibile katika lichoba lya Ruthu, babile nywaa, pema ni pemeya, lema ni chenga.
Likewise, even as it was in the days of Lot [Veil, Covering]: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 Lakini lichoba lelo latu paboi Sodoma, wanyei ula wa moto ni kiberiti boka kumaunde ni kubaangamiza boti.
but in the day that Lot [Veil, Covering] went out from Sodom [Burning], Yahweh caused it to rain fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.
30 Nga nyo yaipala panga lichoba lelo lya mwana wa Adamu paumukulwa.
It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
31 Lichoba liyo kana umruhusu ywabile mudari ya nyumba auluka tola bidhaa yake nkati ya nyumba. Ni kana umruhusu ywabile kumnguta buya kaya.
In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
32 Mkumbukiya mnyumbowe Ruthu.
Remember Lot [Veil, Covering]’s wife!
33 Yeyoti ywapala kuyalopya maisha gake apala kuya abiya, lakini yeyoti yayaobiya maisha gake apala kugalopwa.
Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
34 Nindakuwabakiya, kilo cheno kupabaa ni bandu abile katika kindanda chimo, yumo apala tolekwa, ni yenge apala lekwa. Pulabaa ni anwawa abele bandaaga nafaka pamope, yumo apala tolekwa ni yenge lekwa.”
I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.
There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left.
Two will be in the field: the one taken, and the other left.”
37 Bannobiye, “Wapi Nnongo?” Kaayangwa, “Palo pabile mzoga, ndipo tai kabakusanyika pamope.”
They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”
