स्तोत्रसंहिता 115

1 १ हे परमेश्वरा, आमचे नको. आमचे नको, तर आपल्या नावाचा सन्मान कर, कारण तू दयाळू आणि सत्य आहेस.

Yahweh, people should praise [only] you [MTY]; they must praise you, not us, because you faithfully love us and always do what you have promised to do.

2 २ ह्यांचा देव कोठे आहे, असे राष्ट्रांनी का म्हणावे?

It is not right that [RHQ] [other] people-groups should say about us, “[They claim that] their God [is very powerful], but [if that is true], why does he not [help them]?”

3 ३ आमचा देव स्वर्गात आहे; त्यास जे आवडते ते तो करतो.

Our God is in heaven, and he does whatever he wants to!

4 ४ राष्ट्रांच्या मूर्ती सोन्याच्या व रुप्याच्या आहेत. त्या मनुष्यांच्या हातचे काम आहेत.

[But] their idols are only [statues made of] silver and gold, things that humans have made.

5 ५ त्या मूर्त्यांना तोंड आहे, पण बोलता येत नाही; त्यांना डोळे आहेत, पण त्यांना बघता येत नाही.

Their idols have mouths, but they cannot say [anything]; they have eyes, but they cannot see [anything].

6 ६ त्यांना कान आहेत, पण त्यांना ऐकू येत नाही, त्यांना नाक आहे, पण त्यांना वास घेता येत नाही.

They have ears, but they cannot hear [anything]; they have noses, but they cannot smell [anything].

7 ७ त्यांना हात आहेत, पण त्यांना स्पर्श करता येत नाही. त्यांना पाय आहेत पण त्या चालू शकत नाही; किंवा त्यांच्या मुखाने त्यांना बोलता येत नाही.

They have hands, but they cannot feel [anything]; they have feet, but they cannot walk, and they have throats but cannot [even] make any sounds!

8 ८ जे त्यांना बनवितात त्यांच्याप्रमाणेच, त्यांच्यावर भरवसा ठेवणारा प्रत्येकजन आहे.

The people who make those idols are [as powerless] as those idols, and those who trust in those idols [can accomplish nothing], just like their idols!

9 ९ हे इस्राएला, परमेश्वरावर विश्वास ठेव. तो त्यांचे सहाय्य आणि ढाल आहे.

You, [my fellow] Israeli people, trust in Yahweh! He is the one who helps you and [protects you like] [MET] a shield.

10 १० हे अहरोनाच्या घराण्या, परमेश्वरावर विश्वास ठेव; तोच त्याचे सहाय्य आणि ढाल आहे.

You priests [MTY], trust in Yahweh! He is the one who helps you and [protects you like] [MET] a shield.

11 ११ अहो परमेश्वराचा आदर करणाऱ्यांनो, परमेश्वरावर विश्वास ठेवा; तोच त्यांचे सहाय्य आणि ढाल आहे.

[All] you who revere Yahweh, trust in him! He is the one who helps you and [protects you like] [MET] a shield.

12 १२ परमेश्वराने आमची दखल घेतली आहे आणि आम्हास आशीर्वाद देईल. तो इस्राएलाच्या कुटुंबाला आशीर्वाद देईल. तो अहरोनाच्या कुटुंबाला आशीर्वाद देईल.

Yahweh has not forgotten us; he will bless us Israeli people [MTY]! He will bless the priests,

13 १३ जे परमेश्वराचा आदर करतात, त्या तरुण आणि वृद्ध या दोघांना तो आशीर्वाद देईल.

and he will bless [all] those who revere him; he will bless important [people] and people [who are considered to be] unimportant, [everyone!]

14 १४ परमेश्वर तुम्हास अधिकाधिक वाढवो, तो तुमची आणि तुमच्या वंशजांची वाढ करो.

I desire that Yahweh will give many children to you [my fellow-Israeli people], and to your descendants.

15 १५ आकाश व पृथ्वी ही निर्माण करणाऱ्या परमेश्वराचा तुम्हास आशीर्वाद असो.

I desire that Yahweh, the one who made heaven and the earth, will bless [all of] you!

16 १६ स्वर्ग तर परमेश्वराचा आहे; पण त्यांने मानवजातीला पृथ्वी दिली आहे.

The [highest] heavens belong to Yahweh, but he gave [everything that is on] the earth to [us] people.

17 १७ मरण पावलेले म्हणजे निवांतस्थानी उतरलेले कोणीहि परमेश्वराची स्तुती करीत नाहीत.

Dead [people] are not [able to] praise Yahweh; when they descend into the place where dead people are, they are unable to speak and cannot praise him.

18 १८ पण आम्ही आता आणि सदासर्वकाळ परमेश्वरास धन्यवाद देत राहू. परमेश्वराची स्तुती करा.

But we [who are alive] will thank/praise him, now and forever. Praise Yahweh!
