1 Inao, ty hara’elahim-pikokoañe nitoloran-dRae, t’ie atao anak’ Andrianañahare! Toe izay ty foto’ tsy ahafohina’ ty voatse toy an-tika, amy t’ie tsy nahafohiñ’ aze.
Se ye what maner charite the fadir yaf to vs, that we be named the sones of God, and ben hise sones. For this thing the world knewe not vs, for it knew not hym.
2 Ry rañetse, anan’ Añahare tika henaneo, fe mbe tsy nabentatse t’ie ho inoñe. Fe fohin-tika t’ie misodehañ’ eo, le ho hambañe ama’e tika, ie ho onin-tika ami’ty vinta’e.
Moost dere britheren, now we ben the sones of God, and yit it apperide not, what we schulen be. We witen, that whanne he schal appere, we schulen be lijk hym, for we schulen se hym as he is.
3 Aa ndra ia ia ty mitamañe zay, le mañalio vatañe, hambañe amy te ie ro malio.
And ech man that hath this hope in hym, makith hym silf hooli, as he is hooli.
4 Ndra ia ia mitolom-pandilatse ro mañota Hake; toe tahiñe ty fandilarañe Hake.
Ech man that doith synne, doith also wickidnesse, and synne is wickidnesse.
5 Fa fohi’ areo t’ie niboake hañaha o hakeon-tikañeo; ie tsy aman-tahiñe.
And ye witen, that he apperide to do awei synnes, and synne is not in hym.
6 Tsy mitolon-kakeo ze mimoneñe ama’e ao. Tsy mitolom-pandilatse ze nahaisak’ aze naho mahafohiñ’aze.
Ech man that dwellith in hym, synneth not; and ech that synneth, seeth not hym, nether knew hym.
7 O keleiakoo, asoao tsy ho fañahie’ ondaty. Vantañe ty mpitolon-kavantañañe, hambañe amy te Ie ro vantañe.
Litle sones, no man disseyue you; he that doith riytwysnesse, is iust, as also he is iust.
8 Mpiamy mpañìnjey ze mandilatse avao, amy te mpandilatse boak’ am-baloha’e i mpañìnjey. Niboake i Anan’ Añaharey handrotsake o sata’ i mpañijeio.
He that doith synne, is of the deuel; for the deuel synneth fro the bigynnyng. In this thing the sone of God apperide, that he vndo the werkis of the deuel.
9 Tsy mitolon-kakeo ty nasaman’ Añahare, amy te mimoneñe ama’e ao i doria’ey, vaho tsy hai’e ty mandilatse, amy t’ie nasaman’ Añahare.
Ech man that is borun of God, doith not synne; for the seed of God dwellith in hym, and he may not do synne, for he is borun of God.
10 Zao ty mampalange o anan’ Añahareo naho o ana’ i mpañìnjeio: tsy anan’ Añahare ty tsy mpanao havantañañe naho ty tsy mikoko rahalahy.
In this thing the sones of God ben knowun, and the sones of the feend. Ech man that is not iust, is not of God, and he that loueth not his brothir.
11 Inao i entañe jinanji’ areo am-baloha’ey: t’ie hifampikoko,
For this is the tellyng, that ye herden at the bigynnyng, that ye loue ech othere;
12 tsy manahak’ i Kaina nimpiamy ratiy, ie namono an-drahalahi’e. Aa ino ty talim-pamonoa’e aze? Ie niraty sata, vaho nivantañe o an-drahalahi’eo.
not as Caym, that was of the yuele, and slouy his brother. And for what thing slouy he him? for hise werkis weren yuele, and hise brotheris iust.
13 Ko latsa, ry longo, naho malaiñe anahareo ty voatse toy.
Britheren, nyle ye wondre, if the world hatith you.
14 Fohin-tika te, nienga i havilasiy homb’ an-kaveloñe ao tika mpikoko longo. Mimoneñe an-kavilasy ao ty tsy mikoko.
We witen, that we ben translatid fro deeth to lijf, for we louen britheren. He that loueth not, dwellith in deth.
15 Ndra ia ia malain-dongo ro mpamono ondaty, le fohi’ areo te tsy imoneñan-kaveloñe nainai’e ty mpañoho-doza. (aiōnios g166)
Ech man that hatith his brother, is a man sleere; and ye witen, that ech mansleere hath not euerlastinge lijf dwellinge in hym. (aiōnios g166)
16 Inao ty aharendrehan-tika fikokoañe: toe ie namoe-ay ho an-tika. Aa le hamoe-ay ho an-drolongo ka tika.
In this thing we han knowe the charite of God, for he puttide his lijf for vs, and we owen to putte oure lyues for oure britheren.
17 Ze manañe ty vara’ ty voatse toy, ie mahaoniñe ty paia’ i longo’ey, naho mampigaben-troke, aia te ho ama’e ty fikokoan’ Añahare.
He that hath the catel of this world, and seeth that his brothir hath nede, and closith his entrailis fro hym, hou dwellith the charite of God in hym?
18 Ry keleiakoo, asoao tsy hikoko an-tsaontsy ndra am-pameleke avao, fa an-tsata naho hatò.
Mi litle sones, loue we not in word, nethir in tunge, but in werk and treuthe.
19 Inao ty aharendrehan-tika te mpiama’ ty hatò, hampazava troke añatrefa’e eo,
In this thing we knowen, that we ben of treuthe, and in his siyt we monesten oure hertis.
20 ie sisien-troke, jabajaba te amo arofon-tikañeo t’i Andrianañahare, kila arofoana’e.
For if oure herte repreueth vs, God is more than oure hert, and knowith alle thingis.
21 Ry rañetse, naho tsy mamàtse antika o tron-tikañeo, le mirearea mahafañatreke an’ Andrianañahare,
Moost dere britheren, if oure herte repreueth not vs, we han trust to God;
22 le ndra inoñ’ inoñe ihalalian-tika, ho rambeseñe, amy t’ie mpañambeñe o lili’eo vaho manao ze mahafale am-pivazohoa’e.
and what euer we schulen axe, we schulen resseyue of hym, for we kepen hise comaundementis, and we don tho thingis that ben plesaunt bifor hym.
23 Inao ty lili’e: te atokisan-tika i tahinan’ Ana’e, Iesoà Norizañey, naho hifampikoko, hambañe amy nandilia’ey.
And this is the comaundement of God, that we bileue in the name of his sone Jhesu Crist, and that we loue ech othere, as he yaf heeste to vs.
24 Mimoneñe ama’e ao ze mpañambeñe o lili’eo, naho ie ro ama’e ao. Le ty ahafohinan-tika te imoneña’e, i Arofo’e natolo’e aman-tikañey.
And he that kepith hise comaundementis, dwellith in hym, and he in hym. And in this thing we witen, that he dwellith in vs, bi the spirit, whom he yaf to vs.
