< Habakoka 3 >

1 Ny fivavak’ i Habakoka mpaminany. Araka ny Sigionota.
A prayer by Habakkuk the prophet, —in the manner of an Ode.
2 Jehovah ô, efa reko ny filazana Anao, ka raiki-tahotra aho; Jehovah ô, velomy ny asanao ao an-tenatenan’ ny taona, Ataovy fantatra ao an-tenatenan’ ny taona izany; Na dia tezitra aza Hianao, tsarovy ny indrafo.
O Yahweh, I have heard tidings of thee, I am afraid. O Yahweh! Thy work—in the midst of the years, O revive it, in the midst of the years, wilt thou make known? In trouble, wilt thou remember, compassion?
3 Tamy avy any Temana Andriamanitra, Dia ny iray Masìna avy any an-tendrombohitra Parana. (Sela) Manarona ny lanitra ny voninahiny, Ary manenika ny tany ny fiderana Azy.
GOD, from Teman, cometh in, and, the Holy One, from Mount Paran. (Selah) His splendour, hath covered the heavens, and, his praise, hath filled the earth:
4 Misy famirapiratana toy ny mazava, Ary misy tàna-masoandro avy eo amin’ ny tànany; Ary ao no fieren’ ny heriny.
And, a brightness, as light, appeareth, Rays, out of his hand, hath he, —and, there, is the hiding of his power.
5 Eo alohany no andehanan’ ny areti-mandringana, Ary areti-mandripaka no mivoaka avy eo aoriany.
Before him, marcheth pestilence, —and fever, goeth forth, at his feet:
6 Mijanona Izy ka manozongozona ny tany; Mijery Izy ka mampangovitra ny firenena, Ary torotoro ny tendrombohitra mandrakizay, Mietry ny havoana fahagola, Fanaony hatry ny fahagola ny Azy.
He hath stood and measured the earth, he hath looked, and caused nations to tremble, and, scattered as dust, are the perpetual mountains, and, sunk, are the age-abiding hills, —Forthgoings age-abiding, are his.
7 Mahita ny lain’ i Kosana azom-pahoriana aho, Sady mipararetra ny ambain-dain’ ny tany Midiana.
Under distress, saw I the tents of Ethiopia, —tremble, do the curtains of the land of Midian.
8 Moa amin’ ny ony va no irehetan’ ny fahatezeran’ i Jehovah? Amin’ ny ony va no ahatezeranao, Na amin’ ny ranomasina va no ahasosoranao, No dia mitaingina ny soavalinao sy ny kalesim-pamonjenao Hianao?
Against the rivers, is Yahweh wroth? Against the rivers, is thine anger? Against the sea, is thine indignation? For thou wilt ride on Thy horses, Thy chariots, [shall be] salvation!
9 Nalan-tsarona ny tsipìkanao; Efa nianianana ny fikapohan’ ny teny. (Sela) Namakivaky ny tany Hianao mba hisy ony.
To nakedness, is bared thy bow, oaths of chastisement—song! (Selah) With rivers, thou dost cleave open the land.
10 Nahita Anao ny tendrombohitra ka toran-kovitra; Mirotsaka ny ranonorana mivatravatra, Mamoa-peo ny lalina Sady manangan-tanana ho amin’ ny avo.
The mountains, have seen thee—they tremble, a downpour of waters, hath passed along, —the roaring deep, hath given forth, his voice, on high—his hand, hath he uplifted.
11 Ny masoandro sy ny volana niditra teo amin’ ny fitoerany, Noho ny fahazavan’ ny zana-tsipìkanao mitsoriaka Sy ny fanelatselatry ny lefonao mamirapiratra.
Sun, moon, have stood still, on high, —like light, thine arrows, speed along, like brightness, is the flash of thy spear.
12 Amin’ ny fahatezeranao no anitsahanao ny tany; Amin’ ny fahaviniranao no anosihosenao ny firenena.
In wrath, dost thou stride through the land, —in anger, dost thou thresh the nations.
13 Mivoaka hamonjy ny olonao Hianao, dia hamonjy ny voahosotrao; Torotoroinao ny tapenaky ny tranon’ ny ratsy fanahy, Ka ahariharinao hatreo an-tenatenany ny fanorenany. (Sela)
Thou hast come forth to the salvation of thy people, to salvation, with thine Anointed One, —Thou hast crushed the Head out of the house of the lawless one, baring the foundation up to the neck, (Selah)
14 Ny lefony ihany no anaboroahanao ny lohan’ ireo miaramilany betsaka, Izay avy toy ny tadio hanely ahy, Sady mifaly handany mangingina ny ory izy.
Thou hast pierced, with his own staves, the head of his chiefs, they storm along, to scatter me, —their exultant thought, is, in very deed, to devour the oppressed one, in a secret place!
15 Mitety ny ranomasina amin’ ny soavalinao Hianao, Dia eny amin’ ny rano be miavovona.
Thou hast driven, into the sea, thy chariot-horses. Foaming are the mighty waters!
16 Nony mandre aho, dia mandevilevy ny kiboko; Ny molotro mipararetra noho ny feo; Azon’ ny fahalòvana ny taolako, ary mangovitra aho; Fa tsy maintsy miandry ny andro fahoriana aho, Dia izay hiakaran’ ny mpanao andiany hamely ny olonao.
I heard, and I trembled within me, at the voice, my lips, quivered, decay, entered, my bones, and, in my limbs, I trembled, —though I am to find rest, in the day of distress, when their invader, cometh up against the people.
17 Fa na dia tsy mamontsina aza ny aviavy, Ary tsy misy voany ny voaloboka, Na dia mahadiso fanantenana aza ny oliva, Ary tsy mahavokatra hohanina ny saha, Na dia vonoina aza ny ondry ao amin’ ny vala, Ary tsy misy omby ao am-pahitra,
Though, the fig-tree, should not blossom, and there be no sprouting in the vines, the yield of the olive, should have deceived, and, the fields, not have brought forth food, —the flock, have been consumed out of the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls,
18 Nefa izaho dia mbola hifaly amin’ i Jehovah ihany Sy hiravoravo amin’ Andriamanitry ny famonjena ahy.
Yet, I, in Yahweh, will rejoice, —I will exult in the God of my salvation.
19 Jehovah Tompo no tanjako, Ary manao ny tongotro ho toy ny an’ ny dieravavy Izy Ka mampandeha ahy any amin’ ny havoanako. Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Hampiarahina amin’ ny valiha.
Yahweh, My Lord, is my strength, therefore hath he made my feet like hinds, and, upon my high places, will he cause me to march along. To the chief musician, on my double harp.
