1 Wakorintho 10
1 Nilonda muenga mmanyai kaka ni dada bhayangu ya kuwa dadi bhitu bhayele pasi mu liwingu ni bhoa bhapetili mu bahari.
BUT I would not that you should be ignorant, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 Bhoa bhabatisibhu bhayela bha Musa mugati muliwingu ni mugati mubahari,
and were all baptised unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 ni bhoa bhayele kyakulya khela khela kya roho. Bhoa bhanyuili kinywaji khela khela kya roho.
and did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 Maana bhanyuili kuhomela mu muamba wa roho waubhafwatili, ni muamba bhola wayele ndo Kristu.
and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual rock which followed them; but that rock was Christ.
5 Lakini K'yara abhaghanili lepi sana ni bhingi bha bhene, ni maiti ghabhene sasambisibhu mujangwani.
Nevertheless with the most of them God was not well pleased, for they were destroyed in the wilderness.
6 Basi mambo agha ghoa ghayele mfano kwa yhoto, ili tete tusiyi bhanu bhakutamani mabaya kutya ni bhala bhabhakhetili.
Now these things were examples for us, that we might not be coveters of evil things, as they also coveted.
7 Msiyi waabudu sanamu, kutya bhamana bhabhi kiyele. Eye ndo kutya kakiyandikibhu, “Bhanu bhatamili pasi kulya ni kunywa ni kuyinuka kukina ki tamaa sa mapenzi.”
Neither be ye idolaters as some of them; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to sport themselves.”
8 Tusikheti uashelati kutya bhamana bhene kabhaketili. Bhafuili ligono limonga bhanu ishilini na tatu elfu kwa ndabha ya elu.
Neither let us commit whoredom, as some of them also committed, and in one day fell twenty-three thousand.
9 Wala tusinjalibu Kristu, ni kutya bhamana kabhaketili ni kuhalibikibhwa ni liyoka.
Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents.
10 Ni kabhele msinung'uniki, kutya bhingi bha bhene kabhanung'uniki ni kumang'asibhwa ni malaika wa mauti.
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and perished by the destroyer.
11 Basi mambo aghu ghabhombiki kujo mifano kwa yhoto. ghayandikibhu ili kutuonya tete - tabhafikilibhu ni kumalika ki zamani. (aiōn g165)
Now all these things happened unto them as examples, but they are written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages are come. (aiōn g165)
12 Kwa elu kila akajibhona ayhemili ayelai ngangali asihidi kubina.
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth, take heed lest he fall.
13 Kuyelehee lijalibu lalibhakabhili muenga laliyelehee kawaida ya bhanadamu. Ila K'yara ndo mwaminifu. Akabhaleka lepi mjalibibhuayi kup'eta ubhueso bhuinu. Pamonga ni lijalibu muene alabhapela ndiangu wa kupitila, ili mubhwesyai kustaimili.
No temptation hath overtaken you, but what is common to men. And God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what ye are able to bear; but will with the temptation make also a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear up under it.
14 Kwa elu, bhapendwa bhangu, mujiikhembelai ibada yalisanamu.
Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 Nijobha ni muenga kutya bhanu bhenye akili, ili muamulai juu gha nijobha.
I speak as unto wise men: judge ye what I say.
16 Kikhombi kya balaka katibaliki, so ushilika wa mbhele wa Kristu?
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
17 Kwa ndabha nkate ummonga, tete bhatuyele tabhingi mbhele ummonga, tete tabhoa tiyhop'holela n'kate ummonga kwa pamonga.
For we, though many, are one loaf, one body; for we all partake of that one loaf.
18 Mbhalangai bhanu bha Israeli: Ko! bhala bhoa bhabhilya zabihu so bhashiliki mu mazabau?
Behold Israel after the flesh. Are not they who eat of the sacrifices partakers with the altar?
19 Nijobha kiki kabhele? ya kuya sanamu khenu? au yakuya kya kulya kakapisibhu sadaka kwa sanamu ndo khenu?
What do I say then? that an idol is any thing, or that which is sacrificed to an idol is any thing?
20 Kakiyele nijobha juu ya fhenu fhela fabhipisya sadaka bhanu bhapagani bha Mataifa, ya kuya bhipisya fhenu efe kwa mapepo ni si kwa K'yara. Nani nilondalepi muenga kushilikiana ni mapepo!
But that what the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to daemons, and not to God: and I would not have you in communion with daemons.
21 Mwibhuesya lepi kunywelela kikhombi kya Bwana ni kikombi ka mapepo. mwibhuesya lepi kuya ushilika mu meza ya Bwana ni mu meza ya mapepo.
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of daemons: ye cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and the table of daemons.
22 Au tukamsopela Bwana bhuifu? tuyee ni nghofo zaidi ya muene?
Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
23 “Fhenu fyoa ni halali,” kakiyele si syoa fafifuayi. “Fhenu fyoa ni halali,” kakiyele si syoa fyafijenga bhanu.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not profitable; all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
24 Ayehee hata mmonga ngaalondili manofu gha muene tu. Badala yaki, kila mmonga ngaalondili manofu gha njinu.
Let no man seek his own gratification, but every one another’s good.
25 Mwibhuesya kulya kila fhenu kakigolisibhwa kusoko bila kukhota - khtai kwajia ya kumanya.
Every thing which is sold in the shambles eat, asking no question for conscience sake;
26 Mana “dunia ndo mali ya Bwana, ni fyoa fafimemisibhwa.”
“for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.”
27 Ni munu yaiaminilepi kubhaalika kulya, ni mwilonda kulota, mliayi kyoakhela kaakabhapela bila kukhota masuali gha zamili.
And if any one of those, who do not believe, invite you, and ye incline to go, eat every thing set before you, asking no question for conscience sake.
28 Kakiyele munu akabhajobhela, “kyakulya ekhe kitokene ni sadaka ya bhapagani,” msile. Eye ndo kwajia ya muene yaabhajobhili, na kwajia ya zamili.
But if any person say unto you, This is an idol’s sacrifice, eat not of it, for his sake who pointed it out, and for conscience sake. For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.
29 Ni nene nimanishahee zamila sya yhomo, bali zamili ya yhola yhongi. Maana kwandabha yakiki uhuru wanene uhukumiwai ni munu yhongi?
Conscience indeed I say, not merely thine own, but that of the other person.
30 Ikayelai nene nitumila kyakulya kwa shukulani, kwandayakiki nilighibhwai kwa khenu ka nikishukuili kwa muene?
For why is my liberty abridged by another’s conscience? If I truly with thanksgiving am a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
31 Kwa elu, kyoakhela kamwilya ni kunywa, au kyoakhela kamwifwanya, mfwanyai ghoa kwajia ya utukufu wa K'yara.
Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all things to the glory of God.
32 Msibhakosesi Bhayaudi au bhayunani, au kanisa la K'yara.
Give no occasion of stumbling either to the Jews or the Gentiles, or the church of God:
33 Mjalibuayi kutya nene kanijalibu kubhagana bhanu bhoa kwa mambo ghoa. Nilondahee faida yayhoni, bali ya bhingi. Ni nene ni kheta naa ili bhabhwesyai kuokholewa.
even as I please all men, not seeking my own advantage, but that of the many, that they may be saved.
