マタイの福音書 13
1 その日、イエスは家を出て、湖のほとりにすわっておられた。
The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
2 すると、大ぜいの群衆がみもとに集まったので、イエスは舟に移って腰をおろされた。それで群衆はみな浜に立っていた。
And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3 イエスは多くのことを、彼らにたとえで話して聞かされた。 「種を蒔く人が種蒔きに出かけた。
And he spoke many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 蒔いているとき、道ばたに落ちた種があった。すると鳥が来て食べてしまった。
And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
5 また、別の種が土の薄い岩地に落ちた。土が深くなかったので、すぐに芽を出した。
Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 しかし、日が上ると、焼けて、根がないために枯れてしまった。
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 また、別の種はいばらの中に落ちたが、いばらが伸びて、ふさいでしまった。
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 別の種は良い地に落ちて、あるものは百倍、あるものは六十倍、あるものは三十倍の実を結んだ。
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9 耳のある者は聞きなさい。」
Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
10 すると、弟子たちが近寄って来て、イエスに言った。「なぜ、彼らにたとえでお話しになったのですか。」
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speak you unto them in parables?
11 イエスは答えて言われた。「あなたがたには、天の御国の奥義を知ることが許されているが、彼らには許されていません。
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 というのは、持っている者はさらに与えられて豊かになり、持たない者は持っているものまでも取り上げられてしまうからです。
For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he has.
13 わたしが彼らにたとえで話すのは、彼らは見てはいるが見ず、聞いてはいるが聞かず、また、悟ることもしないからです。
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 こうしてイザヤの告げた預言が彼らの上に実現したのです。 『あなたがたは確かに聞きはするが、 決して悟らない。 確かに見てはいるが、決してわからない。
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing all of you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing all of you shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 この民の心は鈍くなり、 その耳は遠く、 目はつぶっているからである。 それは、彼らがその目で見、その耳で聞き、 その心で悟って立ち返り、 わたしにいやされることのないためである。』
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 しかし、あなたがたの目は見ているから幸いです。また、あなたがたの耳は聞いているから幸いです。
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 まことに、あなたがたに告げます。多くの預言者や義人たちが、あなたがたの見ているものを見たいと、切に願ったのに見られず、あなたがたの聞いていることを聞きたいと、切に願ったのに聞けなかったのです。
For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which all of you see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which all of you hear, and have not heard them.
18 ですから、種蒔きのたとえを聞きなさい。
Hear all of you therefore the parable of the sower.
19 御国のことばを聞いても悟らないと、悪い者が来て、その人の心に蒔かれたものを奪って行きます。道ばたに蒔かれるとは、このような人のことです。
When any one hears the word (logos) of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 また岩地に蒔かれるとは、みことばを聞くと、すぐに喜んで受け入れる人のことです。
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, (logos) and soon with joy receives it;
21 しかし、自分のうちに根がないため、しばらくの間そうするだけで、みことばのために困難や迫害が起こると、すぐにつまずいてしまいます。
Yet has he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, (logos) by and by he is offended.
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the word; (logos) and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, (logos) and he becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
23 ところが、良い地に蒔かれるとは、みことばを聞いてそれを悟る人のことで、その人はほんとうに実を結び、あるものは百倍、あるものは六十倍、あるものは三十倍の実を結びます。」
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, (logos) and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
24 イエスは、また別のたとえを彼らに示して言われた。 「天の御国は、こういう人にたとえることができます。ある人が自分の畑に良い種を蒔いた。
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 ところが、人々の眠っている間に、彼の敵が来て麦の中に毒麦を蒔いて行った。
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 麦が芽ばえ、やがて実ったとき、毒麦も現われた。
But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 それで、その家の主人のしもべたちが来て言った。『ご主人。畑には良い麦を蒔かれたのではありませんか。どうして毒麦が出たのでしょう。』
So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did not you sow good seed in your field? from whence then has it tares?
28 主人は言った。『敵のやったことです。』すると、しもべたちは言った。『では、私たちが行ってそれを抜き集めましょうか。』
He said unto them, An enemy has done this. The servants said unto him, Will you then that we go and gather them up?
29 だが、主人は言った。『いやいや。毒麦を抜き集めるうちに、麦もいっしょに抜き取るかもしれない。
But he said, Nay; lest while all of you gather up the tares, all of you root up also the wheat with them.
30 だから、収穫まで、両方とも育つままにしておきなさい。収穫の時期になったら、私は刈る人たちに、まず、毒麦を集め、焼くために束にしなさい。麦のほうは、集めて私の倉に納めなさい、と言いましょう。』」
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather all of you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
31 イエスは、また別のたとえを彼らに示して言われた。「天の御国は、からし種のようなものです。それを取って、畑に蒔くと、
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 どんな種よりも小さいのですが、生長すると、どの野菜よりも大きくなり、空の鳥が来て、その枝に巣を作るほどの木になります。」
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
33 イエスは、また別のたとえを話された。「天の御国は、パン種のようなものです。女が、パン種を取って、三サトンの粉の中に入れると、全体がふくらんで来ます。」
Another parable spoke he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
34 イエスは、これらのことをみな、たとえで群衆に話され、たとえを使わずには何もお話しにならなかった。
All these things spoke Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spoke he not unto them:
35 それは、預言者を通して言われた事が成就するためであった。 「わたしはたとえ話をもって口を開き、 世の初めから隠されていることどもを物語ろう。」
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
36 それから、イエスは群衆と別れて家にはいられた。すると、弟子たちがみもとに来て、「畑の毒麦のたとえを説明してください。」と言った。
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 イエスは答えてこう言われた。「良い種を蒔く者は人の子です。
He answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man;
38 畑はこの世界のことで、良い種とは御国の子どもたち、毒麦とは悪い者の子どもたちのことです。
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (aiōn g165)
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. (aiōn g165)
41 人の子はその御使いたちを遣わします。彼らは、つまずきを与える者や不法を行なう者たちをみな、御国から取り集めて、
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 火の燃える炉に投げ込みます。彼らはそこで泣いて歯ぎしりするのです。
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 そのとき、正しい者たちは、天の父の御国で太陽のように輝きます。耳のある者は聞きなさい。
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
44 天の御国は、畑に隠された宝のようなものです。人はその宝を見つけると、それを隠しておいて、大喜びで帰り、持ち物を全部売り払ってその畑を買います。
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man has found, he hides, and for joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.
45 また、天の御国は、良い真珠を捜している商人のようなものです。
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 すばらしい値うちの真珠を一つ見つけた者は、行って持ち物を全部売り払ってそれを買ってしまいます。
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
47 また、天の御国は、海におろしてあらゆる種類の魚を集める地引き網のようなものです。
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 網がいっぱいになると岸に引き上げ、すわり込んで、良いものは器に入れ、悪いものは捨てるのです。
Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, (aiōn g165)
50 火の燃える炉に投げ込みます。彼らはそこで泣いて歯ぎしりするのです。
And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
51 あなたがたは、これらのことがみなわかりましたか。」彼らは「はい。」とイエスに言った。
Jesus says unto them, Have all of you understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
52 そこで、イエスは言われた。「だから、天の御国の弟子となった学者はみな、自分の倉から新しい物でも古い物でも取り出す一家の主人のようなものです。」
Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.
53 これらのたとえを話し終えると、イエスはそこを去られた。
And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.
54 それから、ご自分の郷里に行って、会堂で人々を教え始められた。すると、彼らは驚いて言った。「この人は、こんな知恵と不思議な力をどこで得たのでしょう。
And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence has this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55 この人は大工の息子ではありませんか。彼の母親はマリヤで、彼の兄弟は、ヤコブ、ヨセフ、シモン、ユダではありませんか。
Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 妹たちもみな私たちといっしょにいるではありませんか。とすると、いったいこの人は、これらのものをどこから得たのでしょう。」
And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then has this man all these things?
57 こうして、彼らはイエスにつまずいた。しかし、イエスは彼らに言われた。「預言者が尊敬されないのは、自分の郷里、家族の間だけです。」
And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 そして、イエスは、彼らの不信仰のゆえに、そこでは多くの奇蹟をなさらなかった。
And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
