ガラテヤ人への手紙 6
1 兄弟たちよ。もしだれかがあやまちに陥ったなら、御霊の人であるあなたがたは、柔和な心でその人を正してあげなさい。また、自分自身も誘惑に陥らないように気をつけなさい。
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, all of you which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit (pneuma) of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.
2 互いの重荷を負い合い、そのようにしてキリストの律法を全うしなさい。
Bear all of you one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
3 だれでも、りっぱでもない自分を何かりっぱでもあるかのように思うなら、自分を欺いているのです。
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
4 おのおの自分の行ないをよく調べてみなさい。そうすれば、誇れると思ったことも、ただ自分だけの誇りで、ほかの人に対して誇れることではないでしょう。
But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 人にはおのおの、負うべき自分自身の重荷があるのです。
For every man shall bear his own burden.
6 みことばを教えられる人は、教える人とすべての良いものを分け合いなさい。
Let him that is taught in the word (logos) communicate unto him that teaches in all good things.
7 思い違いをしてはいけません。神は侮られるような方ではありません。人は種を蒔けば、その刈り取りもすることになります。
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.
For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit (pneuma) shall of the Spirit (pneuma) reap life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)
9 善を行なうのに飽いてはいけません。失望せずにいれば、時期が来て、刈り取ることになります。
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 ですから、私たちは、機会のあるたびに、すべての人に対して、特に信仰の家族の人たちに善を行ないましょう。
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
11 ご覧のとおり、私は今こんなに大きな字で、自分のこの手であなたがたに書いています。
All of you see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.
12 あなたがたに割礼を強制する人たちは、肉において外見を良くしたい人たちです。彼らはただ、キリストの十字架のために迫害を受けたくないだけなのです。
As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
13 なぜなら、割礼を受けた人たちは、自分自身が律法を守っていません。それなのに彼らがあなたがたに割礼を受けさせようとするのは、あなたがたの肉を誇りたいためなのです。
For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
14 しかし私には、私たちの主イエス・キリストの十字架以外に誇りとするものが決してあってはなりません。この十字架によって、世界は私に対して十字架につけられ、私も世界に対して十字架につけられたのです。
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
15 割礼を受けているか受けていないかは、大事なことではありません。大事なのは新しい創造です。
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
16 どうか、この基準に従って進む人々、すなわち神のイスラエルの上に、平安とあわれみがありますように。
And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
17 これからは、だれも私を煩わさないようにしてください。私は、この身に、イエスの焼き印を帯びているのですから。
From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
18 どうか、私たちの主イエス・キリストの恵みが、兄弟たちよ、あなたがたの霊とともにありますように。アーメン。
Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. (pneuma) Amen.
