ルカの福音書 18
1 イエズス又、人常に祈りて倦まざるべしとて、彼等に喩を語りて曰ひけるは、
And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 或町に神をも畏れず人をも顧みざる一人の判事ありしが、
Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 又其町に一人の寡婦ありて、彼に詣り、我に仇する人を處分し給へ、と云ひ居たりしを、
And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 彼久しく肯ぜざりしかど、其後心の中に謂へらく、我は神をも畏れず人をも顧みざれど、
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 彼寡婦の我に煩はしければ、之が為に處分せん、然せずば、最後には來りて我を打たん、と。
Yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 主又曰ひけるは、汝等彼不義なる判事の謂へる事を聞け。
And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says.
7 神は何為ぞ、其選み給へる人々の晝夜己に呼はるを處分せずして、其苦しめらるるを忍び給はんや。
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 我汝等に告ぐ、神は速に彼等の為に處分し給ふべし。然りながら人の子の來らん時、世に信仰を見出すべきか、と。
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?
9 又己を義人として自ら恃み、他を蔑にせる人々に向ひて、次の喩を語り給へり。
And he spoke this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 二人の人祈らんとて[神]殿に昇りしに、一人はファリザイ人、一人は税吏なりしが、
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 ファリザイ人立ちて心の中に祈りけるは、神よ、我は他の人の窃盗者、不正者、姦淫者なるが如くならず、又此税吏の如くにも非ざる事を、汝に感謝し奉る。
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you, that I am not as other men are, extortionists, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 我は一週間に二回断食し、全歳入の十分の一を納むるなり、と。
I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 然るに税吏は遥に立ちて、目を天に翹ぐる事だにも敢てせず、唯胸を打ちて、神よ、罪人なる我を憫み給へ、と云ひ居たり。
And the publican, standing far off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but stroke upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 我汝等に告ぐ、此人は、彼人よりも義とせられて、己が家に降り往けり。蓋総て自ら驕る人は下げられ、自ら遜る人は上げらるべし、と。
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be brought low; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.
15 時に人々又、イエズスに觸れしめんとて、孩兒を携へ來りしを、弟子等見て叱りけるに、
And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16 イエズス孩兒を呼寄せて曰ひけるは、子等の我に來るを容して、之を禁ずること勿れ、神の國は斯の如き人の有なればなり。
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 我誠に汝等に告ぐ、誰にても孩兒の如く神の國を承くるにあらずば之に入らじ、と。
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
19 イエズス曰ひけるは、何ぞ我を善きと謂ふや、神獨りの外に善きものはあらず。
And Jesus said unto him, Why call you me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
20 汝は掟を知れり、即ち殺す勿れ、姦淫する勿れ、盗する勿れ、僞證する勿れ、汝の父母を敬へ、と是なり、と。
You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour your father and your mother.
21 彼、我幼年より悉く之を守れり、と云ひしに、
And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
22 イエズス之を聞きて曰ひけるは、汝尚一を缼けり、悉く汝の有てる物を売りて、之を貧者に施せ、然らば天に於て寶を得ん、然して後來りて我に從へ、と。
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lack you one thing: sell all that you have, and distribute unto the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 之を聞きて彼甚く悲しめり、其は富豪なればなり。
And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 イエズス彼が悲しむを見て曰ひけるは、富める者の神の國に入るは如何に難きぞや、
And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 蓋駱駝が針の孔を通るも、富者が天國に入るよりは易し、と。
For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 之を聞ける人々、然らば誰か救はるうことを得ん、と云ひたるに、
And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
27 イエズス曰ひけるは、人に叶はざる事も神には叶ふものぞ、と。
And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
28 其時ペトロ、然て我等は一切を棄てて汝に從ひたり、と云ひしかば、
Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed you.
29 イエズス彼等に曰ひけるは、我誠に汝等に告ぐ、誰にもあれ神の國の為に、或は家、或は兩親、或は兄弟、或は妻、或は子供を離るる人の、
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
31 斯てイエズス十二人を携へて之に曰ひけるは、我等今度エルザレムに上る、人の子の就きて預言者等の手に録されたる事は悉く成就せん。
Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 即ち彼は異邦人に付され、弄られ、辱められ、唾せられ、
For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully pleaded, and spitted on:
33 然て鞭ちたる後、彼等之を殺さん、而して三日目に復活すべし、と。
And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 十二人は此事等少も解せざりき、蓋此言彼等に隠されて、其言はるる所を暁らざりしなり。
And they understood none of these things: and this saying (rhema) was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
35 イエズスエリコに近づき給ふ時、一人の瞽者路傍に坐して施を乞ひ居りしが、
And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36 群衆の過るを聞きて、是は何事ぞと問ひけるに、
And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 人々ナザレトのイエズスの過ぎ給ふ由を告げしかば、
And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passes by.
38 彼叫びて、ダヴィドの子イエズスよ、我を憫み給へ、と云へり。
And he cried, saying, Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me.
39 先てる人々之を叱りて黙せしめんとすれども、彼益、ダヴィドの子よ、我を憫み給へ、と叫び居ければ、
And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, You son of David, have mercy on me.
40 イエズス立止り、命じて之を連來らしめ給ひ、其近づきし時之に問ひて、
And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 我が汝に何を為さん事を欲するぞ、と曰ひしに彼、主よ、見えしめ給はん事を、と云へり。
Saying, What will you that I shall do unto you? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 イエズス曰ひけるは、見えよ、汝の信仰汝を救へり、と。
And Jesus said unto him, Receive your sight: your faith has saved you.
43 彼忽ち見え、神に光榮を歸しつつイエズスに從ひたりしが、民衆之を見て、挙りて神に光榮を歸し奉れり。
And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
