コロサイ人への手紙 4
1 主人たる者よ、僕を正しく公平に扱いなさい。あなたがたにも主が天にいますことが、わかっているのだから。
Masters, treat your slaves with justice and equity, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
2 目をさまして、感謝のうちに祈り、ひたすら祈り続けなさい。
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
3 同時にわたしたちのためにも、神が御言のために門を開いて下さって、わたしたちがキリストの奥義を語れるように（わたしは、実は、そのために獄につながれているのである）、
At the same time pray for us as well, that God may open a door to us for the word so that we may speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.
4 また、わたしが語るべきことをはっきりと語れるように、祈ってほしい。
Pray that I may make it known in the way that I ought to speak.
5 今の時を生かして用い、そとの人に対して賢く行動しなさい。
Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.
6 いつも、塩で味つけられた、やさしい言葉を使いなさい。そうすれば、ひとりびとりに対してどう答えるべきか、わかるであろう。
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer each person.
7 わたしの様子については、主にあって共に僕であり、また忠実に仕えている愛する兄弟テキコが、あなたがたにいっさいのことを報告するであろう。
Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is our beloved brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord.
8 わたしが彼をあなたがたのもとに送るのは、わたしたちの様子を知り、また彼によって心に励ましを受けるためなのである。
I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that he may know how you are doing and encourage your hearts.
9 あなたがたのひとり、忠実な愛する兄弟オネシモをも、彼と共に送る。彼らはあなたがたに、こちらのいっさいの事情を知らせるであろう。
With him I have sent Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here.
10 わたしと一緒に捕われの身となっているアリスタルコと、バルナバのいとこマルコとが、あなたがたによろしくと言っている。このマルコについては、もし彼があなたがたのもとに行くなら、迎えてやるようにとのさしずを、あなたがたはすでに受けているはずである。
Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, greets you, and so does Mark the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you have received instructions: if he comes to you, welcome him).
11 また、ユストと呼ばれているイエスからもよろしく。割礼の者の中で、この三人だけが神の国のために働く同労者であって、わたしの慰めとなった者である。
Jesus who is called Justus also greets you. These men are my only fellow workers for the kingdom of God who are of the circumcision, and they have been a comfort to me.
12 あなたがたのうちのひとり、キリスト・イエスの僕エパフラスから、よろしく。彼はいつも、祈のうちであなたがたを覚え、あなたがたが全き人となり、神の御旨をことごとく確信して立つようにと、熱心に祈っている。
Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ, greets you, always striving for you in his prayers, so that you may stand mature and complete in all the will of God.
13 わたしは、彼があなたがたのため、またラオデキヤとヒエラポリスの人々のために、ひじょうに心労していることを、証言する。
For I testify about him that he has much zeal for you and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.
14 愛する医者ルカとデマスとが、あなたがたによろしく。
Luke, the beloved physician, greets you, and so does Demas.
15 ラオデキヤの兄弟たちに、またヌンパとその家にある教会とに、よろしく。
Give my greetings to the brothers in Laodicea, and to Nymphas and the church that meets in his house.
16 この手紙があなたがたの所で朗読されたら、ラオデキヤの教会でも朗読されるように、取り計らってほしい。またラオデキヤからまわって来る手紙を、あなたがたも朗読してほしい。
After this letter has been read among you, have it read in the church of the Laodiceans as well, and make sure you also read the letter from Laodicea.
17 アルキポに、「主にあって受けた務をよく果すように」と伝えてほしい。
Tell Archippus, “Be sure to complete the ministry yoʋ have received in the Lord.”
18 パウロ自身が、手ずからこのあいさつを書く。わたしが獄につながれていることを、覚えていてほしい。恵みが、あなたがたと共にあるように。
I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen.
