ヨブ 記 6
1 ヨブ應へて曰く
But Job answered and said,
2 願はくは我憤恨の善く權られ 我懊惱の之とむかひて天秤に懸られんことを
Oh that my grief were thoroughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together!
3 然すれば是は海の沙よりも重からん 斯ればこそ我言躁妄なりけれ
For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.
4 それ全能者の箭わが身にいりわが魂神その毒を飮り 神の畏怖我を襲ひ攻む
For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinks up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
5 野驢馬あに靑草あるに鳴んや 牛あに食物あるに吽らんや
Does the wild ass bray when he has grass? or lows the ox over his fodder?
6 淡き物あに鹽なくして食はれんや 蛋の白あに味あらんや
Can that which is unpleasing be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
7 わが心の觸ることを嫌ふ物是は我が厭ふ所の食物のごとし
The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful food.
8 願はくは我求むる所を得んことを願はくは神わが希ふ所の物を我に賜はらんことを
Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!
9 願はくは神われを滅ぼすを善とし 御手を伸て我を絶たまはんことを
Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
10 然るとも我は尚みづから慰むる所あり 烈しき苦痛の中にありて喜ばん 是は我聖者の言に悖りしことなければなり
Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.
11 我何の氣力ありてか尚俟ん 我の終いかなれば我なほ耐へ忍ばんや
What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life?
12 わが氣力あに石の氣力のごとくならんや 我肉あに銅のごとくならんや
Is my strength the strength of stones? or is my flesh of brass?
13 わが助われの中に無にあらずや 救拯我より逐はなされしにあらずや
Is not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from me?
14 憂患にしづむ者はその友これを憐れむべし 然らずば全能者を畏るることを廢ん
To him that is afflicted pity should be showed from his friend; but he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
15 わが兄弟はわが望を充さざること溪川のごとく 溪川の流のごとくに過さる
My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, and as the stream of brooks they pass away;
16 是は氷のために黑くなり 雪その中に藏るれども
Which are blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid:
17 温暖になる時は消ゆき熱くなるに及てはその處に絶はつ
What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
18 隊旅客身をめぐらして去り空曠處にいたりて亡ぶ
The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.
19 テマの隊旅客これを望みシバの旅客これを慕ふ
The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them.
20 彼等これを望みしによりて愧恥を取り 彼處に至りてその面を赧くす
They were confounded because they had hoped; they came thither, and were ashamed.
21 かく汝等も今は虚しき者なり 汝らは怖ろしき事を見れば則ち懼る
For now all of you are nothing; all of you see my casting down, and are afraid.
22 我あに汝等我に予へよと言しこと有んや 汝らの所有物の中より物を取て我ために饋れと言しこと有んや
Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance?
23 また敵人の手より我を救ひ出せと言しことあらんや 虐ぐる者の手より我を贖へと言しことあらんや
Or, Deliver me from the enemy's hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?
24 我を敎へよ 然らば我默せん 請ふ我の過てる所を知せよ
Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
25 正しき言は如何に力あるものぞ 然ながら汝らの規諫る所は何の規諫とならんや
How forcible are right words! but what does your arguing reprove?
26 汝らは言を規正んと想ふや 望の絶たる者の語る所は風のごときなり
Do all of you imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind?
27 汝らは孤子のために籤を掣き 汝らの友をも商貨にするならん
Yea, all of you overwhelm the fatherless, and all of you dig a pit for your friend.
28 今ねがはくは我に向へ 我は汝らの面の前に僞はらず
Now therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident unto you if I lie.
29 請ふ再びせよ 不義あらしむる勿れ 請ふ再びせよ 此事においては我正義し
Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness is in it.
30 我舌に不義あらんや 我口惡き物を辨へざらんや
Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things?
