列王記Ⅰ 15

1 ネバテの子ヤラベアム王の第十八年にアビヤム、ユダの王となり

Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah.

2 エルサレムにて三年世を治めたり其母の名はマアカといひてアブサロムの女なり

Three years reigned he in Jerusalem. and his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

3 彼は其父が己のさきに爲たる諸の罪を行ひ其心其父ダビデの心の如く其神ヱホバに完全からざりき

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.

4 然に其神ヱホバ、ダビデの爲にエルサレムに於て彼に一の燈明を與へ其子を其後に興しエルサレムを固く立しめ賜へり

Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:

5 其はダビデはヘテ人ウリヤの事の外は一生の間ヱホバの目に適ふ事を爲て其己に命じたまへる諸の事に背かざりければなり

Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

6 レハベアムとヤラベアムの間には其一生の間戰爭ありき

And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

7 アビヤムの其餘の行爲と凡て其爲たる事はユダの王の歴代志の書に記載さるるにあらずやアビヤムとヤラベアムの間に戰爭ありき

Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

8 アビヤム其先祖と倶に寝りしかば之をダビデの城に葬りぬ其子アサ之に代りて王と爲り

And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his position.

9 イスラエルの王ヤラベアムの第二十年にアサ、ユダの王となり

And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah.

10 エルサレムにて四十一年世を治めたり其母の名はマアカといひてアブサロムの女なり

And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

11 アサは其父ダビデの如くヱホバの目に適ふ事を爲し

And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.

12 男色を行ふ者を國より逐ひ出し其父祖等の造りたる諸の偶像を除けり

And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

13 彼は亦其母マアカのアシラの像を造りしがために之を貶して太后たらしめざりき而してアサ其像を毀ちてキデロンの谷に焚棄たり

And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.

14 但し崇邱は除かざりき然どアサの心は一生の間ヱホバに完全かりき

But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.

15 彼其父の献納めたる物と己のをさめたる物金銀器をヱホバの家に携へいりぬ

And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.

16 アサとイスラエルの王バアシヤの間に一生の間戰爭ありき

And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

17 イスラエルの王バアシヤ、ユダに攻上りユダの王アサの所に誰をも往來せざらしめん爲にラマを築けり

And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

18 是に於てアサ王ヱホバの家の府庫と王の家の府庫に殘れる所の金銀を盡く將て之を其臣僕の手に付し之をダマスコに住るスリアの王ヘジヨンの子タブリモンの子なるベネハダデに遣はして言けるは

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

19 わが父と爾の父の間の如く我と爾の間に約を立ん視よ我爾に金銀の禮物を餽れり往て爾とイスラエルの王バアシヤとの約を破り彼をして我を離れて上らしめよ

There is a league between me and you, and between my father and your father: behold, I have sent unto you a present of silver and gold; come and break your league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.

20 ベネハダデ、アサ王に聽きて自己の軍勢の長等を遣はしてイスラエルの諸邑を攻めイヨンとダンとアベルベテマアカおよびキンネレテの全地とナフタリの全地とを撃り

So Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Israel, and stroke Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.

21 バアシヤ聞及びラマを築くことを罷てテルザに止り

And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.

22 是に於てアサ王令をユダ全國に降したり一人も免かれし者なし斯して即ちバアシヤが用ひてラマを築きたる石と材木を取きたらしめアサ王之を用てべニヤミンのゲバとミズパを築けり

Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had built; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

23 アサの其餘の行爲と其諸の功業と凡て其爲たる事および其建たる城邑はユダの王の歴代志の書に記載さるるにあらずや但し彼は年老るに及びて其足を病たり

The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

24 アサ其父祖と時に寝りて其父ダビデの城に其父祖と偕に葬らる其子ヨシヤパテ之に代りて王と爲り

And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his position.

25 ユダの王アサの第二年にヤラベアムの子ナダブ、イスラエルの王と爲り二年イスラエルを治めたり

And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years.

26 彼ヱホバの目のまへに惡を爲其父の道に歩行み其イスラエルに犯させたる罪を行へり

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.

27 爰にイツサカルの家のアヒヤの子バアシヤ彼に敵して黨を結びペリシテ人に屬するギベトンにて彼を撃り其はナダブとイスラエル皆ギベトンを圍み居たればなり

And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha stroke him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.

28 ユダの王アサの第三年にバアシヤ彼を殺し彼に代りて王となれり

Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his position.

29 バアシヤ王となれる時ヤラベアムの全家を撃ち氣息ある者は一人もヤラベアムに殘さずして盡く之を滅せりヱホバの其僕シロ人アヒヤに由て言たまへる言の如し

And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he stroke all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:

30 是はヤラベアムが犯し又イスラエルに犯させたる罪の爲め又彼がイスラエルの神ヱホバの怒を惹き起したる事に因るなり

Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.

31 ナダブの其餘の行爲と凡て其爲たる事はイスラエルの王の歴代志の書に記載さるるにあらずや

Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

32 アサとイスラエルの王バアシヤの間に一生のあひだ戰爭ありき

And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

33 ユダの王アサの第三年にアヒヤの子バアシヤ、テルザに於てイスラエルの全地の王となりて二十四年を經たり

In the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years.

34 彼ヱホバの目のまへに惡を爲しヤラベアムの道にあゆみ其イスラエルに犯させたる罪を行へり

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
