Filippesi 3
1 QUANT'è al rimanente, fratelli miei, rallegratevi nel Signore. A me certo non [è] grave scrivervi le medesime cose, e per voi [è] sicuro.
Moreouer, my brethren, reioyce in the Lord. It grieueth mee not to write the same things to you, and for you it is a sure thing.
2 Guardatevi da' cani, guardatevi dai cattivi operai, guardatevi dal ricidimento.
Beware of dogges: beware of euil workers: beware of the concision.
3 Poichè la circoncisione siam noi, noi che serviamo in Ispirito a Dio, e ci gloriamo in Cristo Gesù, e non ci confidiamo nella carne.
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirite, and reioyce in Christ Iesus, and haue no confidence in the flesh:
4 Benchè eziandio nella carne io avrei di che confidarmi; se alcun altro si pensa aver di che confidarsi nella carne, io [l'ho] molto più.
Though I might also haue confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, much more I,
5 [Io, che sono stato] circonciso l'ottavo giorno, che sono della nazione d'Israele, della tribù di Beniamino, Ebreo di Ebrei; quant'è alla legge, Fariseo;
Circumcised the eight day, of the kinred of Israel, of the tribe of Beniamin, an Ebrewe of the Ebrewes, by the Lawe a Pharise.
6 quant'è alla zelo, essendo stato persecutor della chiesa; quant'è alla giustizia, che [è] nella legge, essendo stato irreprensibile.
Concerning zeale, I persecuted ye Church: touching the righteousnesse which is in the Law, I was vnrebukeable.
7 Ma le cose che mi eran guadagni, quelle ho reputate danno, per Cristo.
But the thinges that were vantage vnto me, the same I counted losse for Christes sake.
8 Anzi pure ancora reputo tutte [queste] cose esser danno, per l'eccellenza della conoscenza di Cristo Gesù, mio Signore, per il quale io ho fatta perdita di tutte queste cose, e le reputo [tanti] sterchi, acciocchè io guadagni Cristo.
Yea, doubtlesse I thinke all thinges but losse for the excellent knowledge sake of Christ Iesus my Lord, for whome I haue counted all things losse, and doe iudge them to bee dongue, that I might winne Christ,
9 E sia trovato in lui, non già avendo la mia giustizia, che [è] dalla legge; ma quella che [è] per la fede di Cristo: la giustizia che [è] da Dio, mediante la fede;
And might bee founde in him, that is, not hauing mine owne righteousnesse, which is of the Lawe, but that which is through the faith of Christ, euen the righteousnesse which is of God through faith,
10 per conoscere esso [Cristo], e la virtù della sua risurrezione, e la comunione delle sue sofferenze, essendo reso conforme alla sua morte;
That I may know him, and the vertue of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his afflictions, and be made conformable vnto his death,
11 [per provare] se una volta perverrò alla risurrezione de' morti.
If by any meanes I might attaine vnto the resurrection of the dead:
12 Non già ch'io abbia ottenuto [il premio], o che già sia pervenuto alla perfezione; anzi proseguo, per procacciar di ottenere [il premio]; per la qual cagione ancora sono stato preso da Gesù Cristo.
Not as though I had alreadie attained to it, either were alreadie perfect: but I follow, if that I may comprehend that for whose sake also I am comprehended of Christ Iesus.
13 Fratelli, io non reputo d'avere ancora ottenuto [il premio];
Brethren, I count not my selfe, that I haue attained to it, but one thing I doe: I forget that which is behinde, and endeuour my selfe vnto that which is before,
14 ma una cosa [fo: ] dimenticando le cose che sono dietro, e distendendomi alle cose che son davanti, proseguo [il corso] verso il segno, al palio della superna vocazione di Dio, in Cristo Gesù.
And follow hard toward the marke, for the prise of the hie calling of God in Christ Iesus.
15 Perciò, quanti [siamo] compiuti, abbiam questo sentimento; e se voi sentite altrimente in alcuna cosa, Iddio vi rivelerà quello ancora.
Let vs therefore as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if yee be otherwise minded, God shall reueile euen the same vnto you.
16 Ma pur camminiamo d'una stessa regola, [e] sentiamo una stessa cosa, in ciò a che siam pervenuti.
Neuerthelesse, in that whereunto wee are come, let vs proceede by one rule, that wee may minde one thing.
17 Siate miei imitatori, fratelli; e considerate coloro che camminano così, come avete noi per esempio.
Brethren, bee followers of mee, and looke on them, which walke so, as yee haue vs for an ensample.
18 Percioccchè molti camminano, de' quali molte volte vi ho detto, ed ancora al presente lo dico piangendo, [che sono] i nemici della croce di Cristo,
For many walke, of whom I haue told you often, and nowe tell you weeping, that they are the enemies of the Crosse of Christ:
19 il cui fine [è] perdizione, il cui Dio [è] il ventre, e la [cui] gloria [è] in ciò che torna alla confusione loro; i quali hanno il pensiero, e l'affetto alle cose terrestri.
Whose ende is damnation, whose God is their bellie, and whose glorie is to their shame, which minde earthly things.
20 Poichè noi viviamo ne' cieli, come nella nostra città: onde ancora aspettiamo il Salvatore, il Signor Gesù Cristo.
But our conuersation is in heauen, from whence also we looke for the Sauiour, euen the Lord Iesus Christ,
21 Il quale trasformerà il nostro corpo vile, acciocchè sia reso conforme al suo corpo glorioso, secondo la virtù per la quale può eziandio sottoporsi ogni cosa.
Who shall change our vile bodie, that it may be fashioned like vnto his glorious body, according to the working, whereby hee is able euen to subdue all things vnto him selfe.
