Esodo 13

1 E IL Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo: Consacrami ogni primogenito,

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

2 tutto quello che apre la matrice fra i figliuoli d'Israele, così degli uomini come degli animali; esso [è] mio.

Sanctifie vnto me all the first borne: that is, euery one that first openeth the wombe among the children of Israel, as well of man as of beast: for it is mine.

3 E Mosè disse al popolo: Ricordatevi di questo giorno, nel quale siete usciti di Egitto, della casa di servitù; conciossiachè il Signore ve ne abbia tratti fuori con potente mano; perciò non mangisi alcuna cosa lievitata.

Then Moses sayd vnto the people, Remember this day in the which ye came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage: for by a mightie hande the Lord brought you out from thence: therefore no leauened bread shall bee eaten.

4 Oggi voi uscite fuori nel mese di Abib.

This day come yee out in the moneth of Abib.

5 Quando adunque il Signore ti avrà introdotto, nel paese de' Cananei, degl'Hittei, degli Amorrei, degl'Hivvei, e de' Gebusei, ch'egli giurò a' tuoi padri di darti, [ch'è] un paese stillante latte e miele, osserva questo servigio in questo mese.

Now when the Lord hath brought thee into the land of the Canaanites, and Hittites, and Amorites, and Hiuites, and Iebusites (which he sware vnto thy fathers, that he woulde giue thee, a land flowing with milke and honie) then thou shalt keepe this seruice in this moneth.

6 Mangia per sette giorni [pani] azzimi; e nel settimo giorno [siavi] festa solenne al Signore.

Seuen dayes shalt thou eate vnleauened bread, and the seuenth day shall be the feast of the Lord.

7 Manginsi [pani] azzimi per sette giorni, e non veggasi appo te cosa lievitata, nè lievito, in tutti i tuoi confini.

Vnleauened bread shall bee eaten seuen dayes, and there shall no leauened bread be seene with thee, nor yet leauen be seene with thee in all thy quarters.

8 E in quel giorno dichiara [questa cosa] a' tuoi figliuoli, dicendo: [Questo si fa] per cagion di quello che mi fece il Signore, quando io uscii di Egitto.

And thou shalt shew thy sonne in that day, saying, This is done, because of that which the Lord did vnto me, when I came out of Egypt.

9 E [ciò] ti sia per segnale sopra la tua mano, e per ricordanza fra' tuoi occhi; acciocchè la Legge del Signore sia nella tua bocca; conciossiachè egli ti abbia tratto fuori di Egitto con potente mano.

And it shalbe a signe vnto thee vpon thine hande, and for a remembrance betweene thine eyes, that the Lawe of the Lord may be in thy mouth: for by a strong hand the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.

10 E osserva questo statuto d'anno in anno, nella sua stagione.

Keepe therefore this ordinance in his season appoynted from yeere to yeere.

11 E quando il Signore ti avrà introdotto nel paese de' Cananei, come egli ha giurato a te e a' tuoi padri, e te l'avrà dato;

And when the Lord shall bring thee into the lande of the Canaanites, as hee sware vnto thee and to thy fathers, and shall giue it thee,

12 rassegna al Signore tutto ciò che apre la matrice: parimente, d'ogni primo portato del tuo bestiame, i maschi [apparterranno] al Signore.

Then thou shalt set apart vnto the Lord all that first openeth the wombe: also euery thing that first doeth open the wombe, and commeth forth of thy beast: the males shalbe the Lordes.

13 Ma riscatta ogni primo portato dell'asino, con un agnello, o con un capretto; e se tu non lo riscatti, fiaccagli il collo: riscatta eziandio ogni primogenito dell'uomo d'infra i tuoi figliuoli.

But euery first foale of an asse, thou shalt redeeme with a lambe: and if thou redeeme him not, then thou shalt breake his necke: likewise all the first borne of man among thy sonnes shalt thou bye out.

14 E quando per innanzi il tuo figliuolo ti domanderà: [Che vuol dir] questo? digli: Il Signore ci trasse fuori di Egitto, della casa di servitù, con potenza di mano.

And when thy sonne shall aske thee to morowe, saying, What is this? thou shalt then say vnto him, With a mightie hande the Lord brought vs out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

15 E avvenne che, mostrandosi Faraone duro a lasciarci andare, il Signore uccise tutti i primogeniti nel paese di Egitto, da' primogeniti degli uomini, fino a' primogeniti delle bestie; perciò io sacrifico al Signore i maschi d'ogni primo portato, e riscatto ogni primogenito de' miei figliuoli.

For when Pharaoh was harde hearted against our departing, the Lord then slewe all the first borne in the lande of Egypt: from the first borne of man euen to the first borne of beast: therefore I sacrifice vnto the Lord all the males that first open the wombe, but all the first borne of my sonnes I redeeme.

16 Ciò adunque [ti] sarà per segnale sopra la tua mano, e per frontali fra' tuoi occhi, che il Signore ci ha tratti fuori di Egitto con potenza di mano.

And it shalbe as a token vpon thine hand, and as frontlets betweene thine eyes, that the Lord brought vs out of Egypt by a mightie hande.

17 OR, quando Faraone ebbe lasciato andare il popolo, Iddio, non condusse quello per la via del paese de' Filistei; benchè quella [fosse] la [più] corta; perciocchè Iddio disse: Che talora il popolo non si penta, quando vedrà la guerra, e non se ne ritorni in Egitto.

Nowe when Pharaoh had let the people go, God caried them not by the way of the Philistims countrey, though it were neerer: (for God sayd, Lest the people repent whe they see warre, and turne againe to Egypt)

18 Ma Iddio fece fare un giro al popolo, traendo al deserto, [verso] il mar rosso. E i figliuoli d'Israele salirono del paese di Egitto in oardinanza.

But God made the people to go about by the way of the wildernesse of the red sea: and the children of Israel went vp armed out of the land of Egypt.

19 E Mosè prese seco l'ossa di Giuseppe; perciocchè egli avea espressamente fatto giurare i figliuoli d'Israele, dicendo: Iddio per certo vi visiterà; allora trasportate di qui le mie ossa con voi.

(And Moses tooke the bones of Ioseph with him: for he had made the children of Israel sweare, saying, God will surely visite you, and ye shall take my bones away hence with you)

20 E [gl'Israeliti], partitisi di Succot, si accamparono in Etam all'estremità del deserto.

So they tooke their iourney from Succoth, and camped in Etham in the edge of the wildernesse.

21 E il Signore camminava davanti a loro; di giorno, in una colonna di nuvola, per guidarli per lo cammino; e di notte, in una colonna di fuoco, per illuminarli; acciocchè camminassero giorno e notte.

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloude to leade them the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to giue them light, that they might go both by day and by night.

22 Egli non rimosse dal cospetto del popolo la colonna della nuvola di giorno, nè la colonna del fuoco di notte.

He tooke not away the pillar of ye cloude by day, nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people.
