Mazmur 4
1 Untuk pemimpin kor. Dengan permainan kecapi. Mazmur Daud. Ya Allah, Engkaulah pembelaku; jawablah bila aku berseru. Waktu aku susah, Engkau menolong aku; sekarang kasihanilah aku dan dengarlah doaku.
`To the victorie in orguns; the salm of Dauid. Whanne Y inwardli clepid, God of my riytwisnesse herde me; in tribulacioun thou hast alargid to me.
2 Hai orang-orang, berapa lama lagi kamu menghina Allahku? Sampai kapan kamu mencintai yang sia-sia dan mengejar yang tidak benar?
Haue thou mercy on me; and here thou my preier. Sones of men, hou long ben ye of heuy herte? whi louen ye vanite, and seken a leesyng?
3 Ketahuilah, TUHAN telah memilih bagi diri-Nya seorang yang dikasihi-Nya. TUHAN mendengarkan bila aku berseru kepada-Nya.
And wite ye, that the Lord hath maad merueilous his hooli man; the Lord schal here me, whanne Y schal crye to hym.
4 Gemetarlah ketakutan dan jangan berdosa lagi. Renungkanlah sambil berdiam diri, waktu berbaring di tempat tidur.
Be ye wrothe, and nyle ye do synne; `and for tho thingis whiche ye seien in youre hertis and in youre beddis, be ye compunct.
5 Persembahkanlah kurban yang benar dan percayalah kepada TUHAN.
Sacrifie ye `the sacrifice of riytfulnesse, and hope ye in the Lord; many seien, Who schewide goodis to vs?
6 Banyak orang bertanya, "Siapa yang akan memberkati kita?" Semoga Engkau berkenan kepada kami, ya TUHAN.
Lord, the liyt of thi cheer is markid on vs; thou hast youe gladnesse in myn herte.
7 Engkau membuat hatiku lebih gembira daripada orang yang limpah panenannya.
Thei ben multiplied of the fruit of whete, and of wyn; and of her oile.
8 Maka aku berbaring dan tidur dengan tentram, sebab hanya Engkau, TUHAN, membuat hidupku aman!
In pees in the same thing; Y schal slepe, and take reste. For thou, Lord; hast set me syngulerli in hope.
