1 Az éneklőmesternek hangszerre: Dávidé. Hallgasd meg, oh Isten, az én kiáltásomat; figyelmezzél az én könyörgésemre.

To the victorie on orgun, to Dauid hym silf. God, here thou my biseching; yyue thou tent to my preyer.

2 E föld széléről kiáltok te hozzád; mert szívem elepedt: Vígy el engem innen a sziklára, a hova én nem jutok.

Fro the endis of the lond Y criede to thee; the while myn herte was angwischid, thou enhaunsidist me in a stoon.

3 Mert te vagy az én menedékem, s erős tornyom az ellenség ellen.

Thou laddest me forth, for thou art maad myn hope; a tour of strengthe fro the face of the enemye.

4 Hadd lakozzam a te sátorodban mindörökké; hadd meneküljek a te szárnyaid árnyéka alá! (Szela)
