अय्यूब 39

1 १ “क्या तू जानता है कि पहाड़ पर की जंगली बकरियाँ कब बच्चे देती हैं? या जब हिरनियाँ बियाती हैं, तब क्या तू देखता रहता है?

Knowest thou the time when the wilde goates bring foorth yong? or doest thou marke when the hindes doe calue?

2 २ क्या तू उनके महीने गिन सकता है, क्या तू उनके बियाने का समय जानता है?

Canst thou nomber the moneths that they fulfill? or knowest thou the time when they bring foorth?

3 ३ जब वे बैठकर अपने बच्चों को जनतीं, वे अपनी पीड़ाओं से छूट जाती हैं?

They bow them selues: they bruise their yong and cast out their sorowes.

4 ४ उनके बच्चे हष्ट-पुष्ट होकर मैदान में बढ़ जाते हैं; वे निकल जाते और फिर नहीं लौटते।

Yet their yong waxe fatte, and growe vp with corne: they goe foorth and returne not vnto them.

5 ५ “किसने जंगली गदहे को स्वाधीन करके छोड़ दिया है? किसने उसके बन्धन खोले हैं?

Who hath set the wilde asse at libertie? or who hath loosed the bondes of the wilde asse?

6 ६ उसका घर मैंने निर्जल देश को, और उसका निवास नमकीन भूमि को ठहराया है।

It is I which haue made the wildernesse his house, and the salt places his dwellings.

7 ७ वह नगर के कोलाहल पर हँसता, और हाँकनेवाले की हाँक सुनता भी नहीं।

He derideth the multitude of the citie: he heareth not the crie of the driuer.

8 ८ पहाड़ों पर जो कुछ मिलता है उसे वह चरता वह सब भाँति की हरियाली ढूँढ़ता फिरता है।

He seeketh out the mountaine for his pasture, and searcheth after euery greene thing.

9 ९ “क्या जंगली साँड़ तेरा काम करने को प्रसन्न होगा? क्या वह तेरी चरनी के पास रहेगा?

Will the vnicorne serue thee? or will he tary by thy cribbe?

10 १० क्या तू जंगली साँड़ को रस्से से बाँधकर रेघारियों में चला सकता है? क्या वह नालों में तेरे पीछे-पीछे हेंगा फेरेगा?

Canst thou binde the vnicorne with his band to labour in the furrowe? or will he plowe the valleyes after thee?

11 ११ क्या तू उसके बड़े बल के कारण उस पर भरोसा करेगा? या जो परिश्रम का काम तेरा हो, क्या तू उसे उस पर छोड़ेगा?

Wilt thou trust in him, because his strength is great, and cast off thy labour vnto him?

12 १२ क्या तू उसका विश्वास करेगा, कि वह तेरा अनाज घर ले आए, और तेरे खलिहान का अन्न इकट्ठा करे?

Wilt thou beleeue him, that he will bring home thy seede, and gather it vnto thy barne?

13 १३ “फिर शुतुर्मुर्गी अपने पंखों को आनन्द से फुलाती है, परन्तु क्या ये पंख और पर स्नेह को प्रगट करते हैं?

Hast thou giuen the pleasant wings vnto the peacockes? or winges and feathers vnto the ostriche?

14 १४ क्योंकि वह तो अपने अण्डे भूमि पर छोड़ देती और धूलि में उन्हें गर्म करती है;

Which leaueth his egges in the earth, and maketh them hote in the dust,

15 १५ और इसकी सुधि नहीं रखती, कि वे पाँव से कुचले जाएँगे, या कोई वन पशु उनको कुचल डालेगा।

And forgetteth that the foote might scatter the, or that the wild beast might breake the.

16 १६ वह अपने बच्चों से ऐसी कठोरता करती है कि मानो उसके नहीं हैं; यद्यपि उसका कष्ट अकारथ होता है, तो भी वह निश्चिन्त रहती है;

He sheweth himselfe cruell vnto his yong ones, as they were not his, and is without feare, as if he trauailed in vaine.

17 १७ क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने उसको बुद्धिरहित बनाया, और उसे समझने की शक्ति नहीं दी।

For God had depriued him of wisedom, and hath giuen him no part of vnderstanding.

18 १८ जिस समय वह सीधी होकर अपने पंख फैलाती है, तब घोड़े और उसके सवार दोनों को कुछ नहीं समझती है।

When time is, he mounteth on hie: he mocketh the horse and his rider.

19 १९ “क्या तूने घोड़े को उसका बल दिया है? क्या तूने उसकी गर्दन में फहराते हुई घने बाल जमाए है?

Hast thou giuen the horse strength? or couered his necke with neying?

20 २० क्या उसको टिड्डी की सी उछलने की शक्ति तू देता है? उसके फूँक्कारने का शब्द डरावना होता है।

Hast thou made him afraid as the grashopper? his strong neying is fearefull.

21 २१ वह तराई में टाप मारता है और अपने बल से हर्षित रहता है, वह हथियार-बन्दों का सामना करने को निकल पड़ता है।

He diggeth in the valley, and reioyceth in his strength: he goeth foorth to meete the harnest man.

22 २२ वह डर की बात पर हँसता, और नहीं घबराता; और तलवार से पीछे नहीं हटता।

He mocketh at feare, and is not afraid, and turneth not backe from the sworde,

23 २३ तरकश और चमकता हुआ सांग और भाला उस पर खड़खड़ाता है।

Though the quiuer rattle against him, the glittering speare and the shield.

24 २४ वह रिस और क्रोध के मारे भूमि को निगलता है; जब नरसिंगे का शब्द सुनाई देता है तब वह रुकता नहीं।

He swalloweth the ground for fearcenes and rage, and he beleeueth not that it is the noise of the trumpet.

25 २५ जब जब नरसिंगा बजता तब-तब वह हिन-हिन करता है, और लड़ाई और अफसरों की ललकार और जय जयकार को दूर से सूँघ लेता है।

He sayth among the trumpets, Ha, ha: hee smellleth the battell afarre off, and the noyse of the captaines, and the shouting.

26 २६ “क्या तेरे समझाने से बाज उड़ता है, और दक्षिण की ओर उड़ने को अपने पंख फैलाता है?

Shall the hauke flie by thy wisedome, stretching out his wings toward the South?

27 २७ क्या उकाब तेरी आज्ञा से ऊपर चढ़ जाता है, और ऊँचे स्थान पर अपना घोंसला बनाता है?

Doeth the eagle mount vp at thy commandement, or make his nest on hie?

28 २८ वह चट्टान पर रहता और चट्टान की चोटी और दृढ़ स्थान पर बसेरा करता है।

Shee abideth and remaineth in the rocke, euen vpon the toppe of the rocke, and the tower.

29 २९ वह अपनी आँखों से दूर तक देखता है, वहाँ से वह अपने अहेर को ताक लेता है।

From thence she spieth for meate, and her eyes beholde afarre off.

30 ३० उसके बच्चे भी लहू चूसते हैं; और जहाँ घात किए हुए लोग होते वहाँ वह भी होता है।”

His young ones also sucke vp blood: and where the slaine are, there is she.
