יחזקאל 6

1 ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃

And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.

2 בן אדם שים פניך אל הרי ישראל והנבא אליהם׃

O son of humankind set face your against [the] mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.

3 ואמרת הרי ישראל שמעו דבר אדני יהוה כה אמר אדני יהוה להרים ולגבעות לאפיקים ולגאית הנני אני מביא עליכם חרב ואבדתי במותיכם׃

And you will say O mountains of Israel hear [the] word of [the] Lord Yahweh thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh to the mountains and to the hills to the ravines (and to the valleys *Qk) here I I [am] about to bring on you a sword and I will destroy high places your.

4 ונשמו מזבחותיכם ונשברו חמניכם והפלתי חלליכם לפני גלוליכם׃

And they will be made desolate altars your and they will be shattered incense altars your and I will make fall slain [ones] your before idols your.

5 ונתתי את פגרי בני ישראל לפני גלוליהם וזריתי את עצמותיכם סביבות מזבחותיכם׃

And I will put [the] corpses of [the] people of Israel before idols their and I will disperse bones your around altars your.

6 בכל מושבותיכם הערים תחרבנה והבמות תישמנה למען יחרבו ויאשמו מזבחותיכם ונשברו ונשבתו גלוליכם ונגדעו חמניכם ונמחו מעשיכם׃

In all dwelling places your the cities they will be waste and the high places they will be desolate so that they may be waste and they may be held guilty altars your and they will be shattered and they will cease idols your and they will be cut down incense altars your and they will be wiped out products your.

7 ונפל חלל בתוככם וידעתם כי אני יהוה׃

And he will fall [the] slain in midst of you and you will know that I [am] Yahweh.

8 והותרתי בהיות לכם פליטי חרב בגוים בהזרותיכם בארצות׃

And I will leave over when belong to you escapees of [the] sword among the nations when are dispersed you among the lands.

9 וזכרו פליטיכם אותי בגוים אשר נשבו שם אשר נשברתי את לבם הזונה אשר סר מעלי ואת עיניהם הזנות אחרי גלוליהם ונקטו בפניהם אל הרעות אשר עשו לכל תועבתיהם׃

And they will remember escapees your me among the nations where they have been taken captive there where I was crushed heart their [which] plays the prostitute which it has turned aside from with me and eyes their [which] play the prostitute after idols their and they will loathe faces their because of the wicked things which they have done to all abominations their.

10 וידעו כי אני יהוה לא אל חנם דברתי לעשות להם הרעה הזאת׃

And they will know that I [am] Yahweh not to in vain I spoke to do to them the calamity this.

11 כה אמר אדני יהוה הכה בכפך ורקע ברגלך ואמר אח אל כל תועבות רעות בית ישראל אשר בחרב ברעב ובדבר יפלו׃

Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh strike with hand your and stamp with foot your and say alas! because of all [the] abominations of [the] wicked deeds of [the] house of Israel who by the sword by famine and by pestilence they will fall.

12 הרחוק בדבר ימות והקרוב בחרב יפול והנשאר והנצור ברעב ימות וכליתי חמתי בם׃

The distant [person] by the pestilence he will die and the near [person] by the sword he will fall and the [one who] is left alive and the [one who] is preserved by famine he will die and I will complete rage my on them.

13 וידעתם כי אני יהוה בהיות חלליהם בתוך גלוליהם סביבות מזבחותיהם אל כל גבעה רמה בכל ראשי ההרים ותחת כל עץ רענן ותחת כל אלה עבתה מקום אשר נתנו שם ריח ניחח לכל גלוליהם׃

And you will know that I [am] Yahweh when are slain [ones] their in among idols their around altars their to every hill high on all - [the] tops of the mountains and under every tree luxuriant and under every terebinth leafy [the] place where they gave there an odor of soothing to all idols their.

14 ונטיתי את ידי עליהם ונתתי את הארץ שממה ומשמה ממדבר דבלתה בכל מושבותיהם וידעו כי אני יהוה׃

And I will stretch out hand my on them and I will make the land a desolation and a waste more than [the] wilderness of Diblah in all dwelling places their and they will know that I [am] Yahweh.
