יחזקאל 8

1 ויהי בשנה הששית בששי בחמשה לחדש אני יושב בביתי וזקני יהודה יושבים לפני ותפל עלי שם יד אדני יהוה׃

And it was - in the year sixth in the sixth [month] on [day] five of the month I [was] sitting in house my and [the] elders of Judah [were] sitting before me and it fell on me there [the] hand of [the] Lord Yahweh.

2 ואראה והנה דמות כמראה אש ממראה מתניו ולמטה אש וממתניו ולמעלה כמראה זהר כעין החשמלה׃

And I saw and there! a likeness like [the] appearance of fire [was] from [the] appearance of hips his and downwards fire and [was] from hips his and upwards like [the] appearance of brightness like [the] appearance of shining substance towards.

3 וישלח תבנית יד ויקחני בציצת ראשי ותשא אתי רוח בין הארץ ובין השמים ותבא אתי ירושלמה במראות אלהים אל פתח שער הפנימית הפונה צפונה אשר שם מושב סמל הקנאה המקנה׃

And he stretched out [the] form of a hand and he took me by [the] hair of head my and it carried me a spirit - between the earth and between the heavens and it brought me Jerusalem towards in visions of God to [the] opening of [the] gate the inner [court] which faces north-ward where [was] there [the] location of [the] idol of jealousy which provokes to jealousy.

4 והנה שם כבוד אלהי ישראל כמראה אשר ראיתי בבקעה׃

And there! [was] there [the] glory of [the] God of Israel like the appearance which I had seen on the plain.

5 ויאמר אלי בן אדם שא נא עיניך דרך צפונה ואשא עיני דרך צפונה והנה מצפון לשער המזבח סמל הקנאה הזה בבאה׃

And he said to me O son of humankind lift up please eyes your [the] direction north-ward and I lifted up eyes my [the] direction north-ward and there! from [the] north of [the] gate of the altar [the] idol of jealousy this [was] in the entrance.

6 ויאמר אלי בן אדם הראה אתה מהם עשים תועבות גדלות אשר בית ישראל עשים פה לרחקה מעל מקדשי ועוד תשוב תראה תועבות גדלות׃

And he said to me O son of humankind ¿ seeing [are] you (what [are] they? *Q(K)*) doing abominations great which [the] house of Israel - [are] doing here to be far from at sanctuary my and again you will return you will see abominations great.

7 ויבא אתי אל פתח החצר ואראה והנה חר אחד בקיר׃

And he brought me to [the] entrance of the court and I saw and there! a hole one [was] in the wall.

8 ויאמר אלי בן אדם חתר נא בקיר ואחתר בקיר והנה פתח אחד׃

And he said to me O son of humankind dig please in the wall and I dug in the wall and there! an opening one.

9 ויאמר אלי בא וראה את התועבות הרעות אשר הם עשים פה׃

And he said to me go and see the abominations wicked which they [are] doing here.

10 ואבוא ואראה והנה כל תבנית רמש ובהמה שקץ וכל גלולי בית ישראל מחקה על הקיר סביב סביב׃

And I went and I saw and there! every form of creeping thing and animal detestable thing and all [the] idols of [the] house of Israel [was] carved on the wall all around - all around.

11 ושבעים איש מזקני בית ישראל ויאזניהו בן שפן עמד בתוכם עמדים לפניהם ואיש מקטרתו בידו ועתר ענן הקטרת עלה׃

And seventy man from [the] elders of [the] house of Israel and Jaazaniah [the] son of Shaphan [was] standing in midst of them [were] standing before them and everyone censer his [was] in hand his and [the] fragrance of [the] cloud of incense [was] going up.

12 ויאמר אלי הראית בן אדם אשר זקני בית ישראל עשים בחשך איש בחדרי משכיתו כי אמרים אין יהוה ראה אתנו עזב יהוה את הארץ׃

And he said to me ¿ have you seen O son of humankind [that] which [the] elders of [the] house of Israel [are] doing in the darkness everyone in [the] rooms of carved image his for [they are] saying not Yahweh [is] seeing us he has forsaken Yahweh the land.

13 ויאמר אלי עוד תשוב תראה תועבות גדלות אשר המה עשים׃

And he said to me again you will return you will see abominations great which they [are] doing.

14 ויבא אתי אל פתח שער בית יהוה אשר אל הצפונה והנה שם הנשים ישבות מבכות את התמוז׃

And he brought me to [the] entrance of [the] gate of [the] house of Yahweh which [was] to the north towards and there! there the women [were] sitting bewailing Tammuz.

15 ויאמר אלי הראית בן אדם עוד תשוב תראה תועבות גדלות מאלה׃

And he said to me ¿ have you seen O son of humankind again you will return you will see abominations great more than these.

16 ויבא אתי אל חצר בית יהוה הפנימית והנה פתח היכל יהוה בין האולם ובין המזבח כעשרים וחמשה איש אחריהם אל היכל יהוה ופניהם קדמה והמה משתחויתם קדמה לשמש׃

And he brought me to [the] court of [the] house of Yahweh inner and there! [were at] [the] entrance of [the] temple of Yahweh between the porch and between the altar about twenty and five person[s] backs their [were] to [the] temple of Yahweh and faces their [were] east-ward and they [were] bowing down east-ward to the sun.

17 ויאמר אלי הראית בן אדם הנקל לבית יהודה מעשות את התועבות אשר עשו פה כי מלאו את הארץ חמס וישבו להכעיסני והנם שלחים את הזמורה אל אפם׃

And he said to me ¿ have you seen O son of humankind ¿ is it [too] trifling for [the] house of Judah for doing the abominations which they have done here that they have filled the land violence and they have returned to provoke to anger me and there they [are] sending the branch to nose their.

18 וגם אני אעשה בחמה לא תחוס עיני ולא אחמל וקראו באזני קול גדול ולא אשמע אותם׃

And also I I will act in rage not it will look with compassion eye my and not I will show pity and they will call out in ears my a voice great and not I will hear them.
