Hebraeer 8
1 Der Inbegriff dieser Reden aber ist: Wir haben einen solchen Hohenpriester, Der da sitzt zur Rechten auf dem Throne der Majestät in den Himmeln;
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2 Als Priester des Heiligen und des wahren Versammlungszeltes, welches der Herr und nicht ein Mensch aufgerichtet hat.
A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
3 Denn jeglicher Hohepriester wird eingesetzt, Gaben und Opfer darzubringen. Darum muß auch Er etwas haben darzubringen.
For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
4 Denn wenn Er auf Erden wäre, so wäre Er nicht einmal Priester, weil Priester da sind, die nach dem Gesetz die Gaben opfern,
For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 Die ihr Amt tun nach dem Vorbild und Schatten der himmlischen Dinge, wie Moses angewiesen worden, da er das Zelt aufrichten sollte: Siehe zu, heißt es, daß du alles nach dem Vorbilde machst, das dir auf dem Berge gezeigt worden ist.
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6 Nun hat Er aber ein höheres Priesteramt überkommen, weil Er eines herrlicheren Bundes Vermittler ist, der auf höhere Verhei-ßungen gegründet ist.
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 Denn wäre der erste untadelig gehalten worden, so hätte ein zweiter nicht stattgefunden.
For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 Denn strafend spricht Er zu ihnen: Siehe, es kommen Tage, spricht der Herr, da Ich mit dem Hause Israel und dem Hause Judah einen neuen Bund aufrichten werde;
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Nicht nach dem Bunde, den Ich mit ihren Vätern schloß am Tage, da Ich sie bei der Hand nahm, um sie aus Ägyptenland auszuführen; denn sie blieben nicht bei Meinem Bunde, und darum hatte Ich Mich ihrer nicht mehr angenommen.
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 Denn das ist der Bund, den Ich mit dem Hause Israel nach selbigen Tagen schließen will, spricht der Herr: Ich will Meine Gesetze in ihren Sinn legen und sie in ihre Herzen schreiben. Ich will ihr Gott sein, und sie sollen Mein Volk sein.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 Und es wird keiner seinen Nächsten, keiner seinen Bruder lehren und sagen: Lerne den Herrn kennen; denn alle, groß und klein, werden Mich kennen.
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 Denn Ich will gnädig sein ihren Übertretungen, und ihrer Sünden nicht mehr gedenken.
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13 Wenn Er von einem neuen spricht, so hat Er den ersten für veraltet erklärt; was aber veraltet und überjährt ist, das ist seinem Ende nahe.
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
