Johannes 8
1 Jesus aber ging an den Ölberg.
And Iesus went vnto the mount of Oliues,
2 Früh morgens aber kam er wieder in den Tempel, und alles Volk ging zu ihm, und er setzte sich, und lehrte sie.
And early in the morning came againe into the Temple, and all the people came vnto him, and he sate downe, and taught them.
3 Aber die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer bringen ein im Ehebruch ergriffenes Weib zu ihm, und stellen sie in die Mitte.
Then the Scribes, and the Pharises brought vnto him a woman, taken in adulterie, and set her in the middes,
4 Und sagen ihm: Lehrer, dieses Weib ist auf frischer Tat im Ehebruch ergriffen worden.
And said vnto him, Master, we foud this woman committing adulterie, euen in the very acte.
5 Im Gesetz Mosis aber ist uns geboten, solche zu steinigen; was sagst nun du?
Now Moses in our Law commanded, that such should be stoned: what sayest thou therefore?
6 Das sagten sie aber ihn zu versuchen, damit sie ihn anschuldigen möchten. Jesus aber bückte sich nieder, und schrieb mit dem Finger auf die Erde.
And this they saide to tempt him, that they might haue, whereof to accuse him. But Iesus stouped downe, and with his finger wrote on the groud.
7 Als sie aber anhielten ihn zu fragen, richtete er sich auf, und sprach zu ihnen: Wer unter euch ohne Sünde ist, der werfe zuerst den Stein auf sie.
And while they continued asking him, hee lift himselfe vp, and sayde vnto them, Let him that is among you without sinne, cast the first stone at her.
8 Und er bückte sich nieder, und schrieb auf die Erde.
And againe hee stouped downe, and wrote on the ground.
9 Als sie es aber gehört hatten, gingen sie hinaus, einer nach dem andern, von den Ältesten an bis zu den Geringsten. Und Jesus wurde allein gelassen, und das Weib in der Mitte stehend.
And when they heard it, being accused by their owne conscience, they went out one by one, beginning at ye eldest euen to the last: so Iesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the mids.
10 Jesus aber richtete sich auf, und da er niemand sah außer dem Weibe, sprach er zu ihr: Weib wo sind jene, deine Verkläger? Hat dich keiner verurteilt?
When Iesus had lift vp himselfe againe, and sawe no man, but the woman, hee saide vnto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 Sie aber sprachen: Keiner, Herr. Jesus sprach zu ihr: So verurteile auch ich dich nicht. Gehe hin, und sündige nicht mehr.
She said, No man, Lord. And Iesus said, Neither do I condemne thee: go and sinne no more.
12 Da redete Jesus abermals zu ihnen, und sagte: Ich bin das Licht der Welt; wer mir nachfolgt, der wird nicht in der Finsternis wandeln, sondern wird das Licht des Lebens haben.
Then spake Iesus againe vnto them, saying, I am that light of the worlde: hee that followeth mee, shall not walke in darkenes, but shall haue that light of life.
13 Da sagten ihm die Pharisäer: Du zeugst von dir selbst. Dein Zeugnis ist nicht wahr.
The Pharises therefore saide vnto him, Thou bearest recorde of thy selfe: thy recorde is not true.
14 Jesus antwortete, und sagte ihnen: Selbst wenn ich von mir zeuge, so ist mein Zeugnis wahr, denn ich weiß, woher ich gekommen bin, und wohin ich gehe; ihr aber wisset nichts, woher ich komme, und wohin ich gehe.
Iesus answered, and sayde vnto them, Though I beare recorde of my selfe, yet my recorde is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go: but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I goe.
15 Ihr richtet nach dem Fleisch, ich richte niemand;
Ye iudge after the flesh: I iudge no man.
16 Und wenn ich auch richte, so ist mein Gericht wahr, denn ich bin nicht allein, sondern ich und der Vater, der mich gesandt hat.
And if I also iudge, my iudgement is true: for I am not alone, but I, and the Father, that sent mee.
17 Es steht aber auch in euerm Gesetz geschrieben, daß zweier Menschen Zeugnis wahr ist.
And it is also written in your Lawe, that the testimonie of two men is true.
18 Ich bin es, der ich von mir selber zeuge, und der Vater zeugt von mir, der mich gesandt hat.
I am one that beare witnes of my selfe, and the Father that sent me, beareth witnes of me.
19 Da sagten sie ihm: Wo ist dein Vater? Jesus antwortete: Ihr kennet weder mich, noch meinen Vater; wenn ihr mich kenntet, so würdet ihr auch meinen Vater kennen.
Then saide they vnto him, Where is that Father of thine? Iesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor that Father of mine. If ye had knowen me, ye should haue knowen that Father of mine also.
20 Diese Worte redete er in der Schatzkammer, als er im Tempel lehrte, und niemand griff ihn, denn seine Stunde war noch nicht gekommen.
These wordes spake Iesus in the treasurie, as hee taught in the Temple, and no man layde handes on him: for his houre was not yet come.
21 Da sagte ihnen Jesus abermal: Ich gehe hinweg, und ihr werdet mich suchen, und in eurer Sünde sterben. Wo ich hingehe, da könnt ihr nicht hinkommen.
Then saide Iesus againe vnto them, I goe my way, and ye shall seeke me, and shall die in your sinnes, Whither I goe, can ye not come.
22 Da sagten die Juden: Er wird sich doch nicht selbst töten, daß er sagt: Wo ich hingehe, da könnt ihr nicht hinkommen?
Then said the Iewes, Will he kill himselfe, because he saith, Whither I goe, can ye not come?
23 Und er sagte ihnen: Ihr seid von unten her; ich bin von oben her; ihr seid aus dieser Welt; Ich bin nicht aus dieser Welt.
And hee saide vnto them, Ye are from beneath, I am from aboue: ye are of this world, I am not of this worlde.
24 Ich habe euch jetzt gesagt, daß ihr in euern Sünden sterben werdet; denn wenn ihr nicht glaubet, daß ich es bin, so werdet ihr sterben in euern Sünden.
I said therefore vnto you, That ye shall die in your sinnes: for except ye beleeue, that I am he, ye shall die in your sinnes.
25 Da sagen sie ihm: Wer bist du? Und Jesus sagte ihnen: Vor allem das, was ich euch sage.
Then saide they vnto him, Who art thou? And Iesus saide vnto them, Euen the same thing that I said vnto you from the beginning.
26 Ich habe viel über euch zu sagen und zu richten, aber der mich gesandt hat, ist wahr, und ich, was ich von ihm gehört habe, das sage ich in die Welt.
I haue many things to say, and to iudge of you: but he that sent me, is true, and the things that I haue heard of him, those speake I to the world.
27 Sie verstanden nicht, daß er ihnen vom Vater sagte.
They vnderstoode not that hee spake to them of the Father.
28 Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Wenn ihr den Menschensohn erhöht haben werdet, dann werdet ihr erkennen, daß ich es bin, und nichts von mir selber tue, sondern das rede, wie mein Vater mich gelehrt hat.
Then said Iesus vnto them, When ye haue lift vp the Sonne of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I doe nothing of my selfe, but as my Father hath taught me, so I speake these things.
29 Und der mich gesandt hat, ist mit mir; er hat mich nicht allein gelassen, denn ich tue allzeit, was ihm gefällt.
For he that sent me, is with me: the Father hath not left me alone, because I do alwayes those things that please him.
30 Als er solches redete, glaubten viele an ihn.
As hee spake these thinges, many beleeued in him.
31 Da sagte Jesus zu den Juden, die an ihn gläubig geworden waren: Wenn ihr in meinem Worte bleibt, so seid ihr wahrhaftig meine Jünger;
Then saide Iesus to the Iewes which beleeued in him, If ye continue in my worde, ye are verely my disciples,
32 Und werdet die Wahrheit erkennen, und die Wahrheit wird euch freimachen.
And shall know the trueth, and the trueth shall make you free.
33 Sie antworteten ihm: Wir sind Abrahams Samen, und noch niemals zu jemandes Knechten geworden; wie sagst du: Ihr sollt frei werden?
They answered him, Wee be Abrahams seede, and were neuer bonde to any man: why sayest thou then, Ye shalbe made free?
34 Jesus antwortete ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Jeder, der die Sünde tut, ist ein Knecht der Sünde.
Iesus answered them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, that whosoeuer committeth sinne, is the seruant of sinne.
And the seruant abideth not in the house for euer: but the Sonne abideth for euer. (aiōn g165)
36 Wenn euch nun der Sohn freimacht, so werdet ihr wirklich frei sein.
If that Sonne therefore shall make you free, ye shalbe free in deede.
37 Ich weiß, daß ihr Abrahams Same seid, aber ihr suchet mich zu töten, weil mein Wort keinen Raum findet in euch.
I know that ye are Abrahams seede, but yee seeke to kill mee, because my worde hath no place in you.
38 Ich rede, was ich von meinem Vater gesehen habe, und ihr tut auch, was ihr von eurem Vater gesehen habt.
I speake that which I haue seene with my Father: and ye doe that which ye haue seene with your father.
39 Sie antworteten, und sagten ihm: Unser Vater ist Abraham. Jesus sagt ihnen: Wenn ihr Kinder Abrahams wäret, so tätet ihr Abrahams Werke.
They answered, and saide vnto him, Abraham is our father. Iesus said vnto them, If ye were Abrahams children, ye woulde doe the workes of Abraham.
40 Nun aber sucht ihr mich zu töten, einen Menschen, der ich euch die Wahrheit gesagt habe, welche ich von Gott gehört habe. Das hat Abraham nicht getan.
But nowe ye goe about to kill mee, a man that haue told you the trueth, which I haue heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ihr tut die Werke eures Vaters. Da sagten sie ihm: Wir sind nicht aus Hurerei geboren; wir haben einen Vater: Gott.
Ye do the workes of your father. Then said they to him, We are not borne of fornication: we haue one Father, which is God.
42 Da sagte ihnen Jesus: Wenn Gott euer Vater wäre, so würdet ihr mich lieben, denn ich bin von Gott ausgegangen und hergekommen. Denn ich bin nicht von mir selbst gekommen, sondern jener hat mich gesandt.
Therefore Iesus sayde vnto them, If God were your Father, then woulde ye loue mee: for I proceeded foorth, and came from God, neither came I of my selfe, but he sent me.
43 Warum versteht ihr meine Sprache nicht, daß ihr mein Wort nicht hören könnt?
Why doe ye not vnderstande my talke? because ye cannot heare my worde.
44 Ihr seid von dem Vater, dem Teufel, und die Gelüste eures Vaters wollt ihr tun. Derselbige war ein Menschenmörder von Anfang an, und ist nicht gestanden in der Wahrheit, denn es ist keine Wahrheit in ihm Wenn er die Lüge redet, so redet er aus seinem Eigenen, denn er ist ein Lügner, und dessen Vater.
Ye are of your father the deuill, and the lustes of your father ye will doe: hee hath bene a murtherer from the beginning, and abode not in the trueth, because there is no trueth in him. When hee speaketh a lie, then speaketh hee of his owne: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.
45 Weil ich euch aber die Wahrheit sage, so glaubet ihr mir nicht.
And because I tell you the trueth, yee beleeue me not.
46 Wer von euch überweist mich einer Sünde Wenn ich aber Wahrheit spreche, warum glaubet ihr mir nicht?
Which of you can rebuke me of sinne? and if I say the trueth, why do ye not beleeue me?
47 Wer aus Gott ist, der hört Gottes Worte; darum höret ihr nicht, weil ihr nicht aus Gott seid.
He that is of God, heareth Gods wordes: yee therefore heare them not, because ye are not of God.
48 Da antworteten die Juden, und sprachen zu ihm: Sagen wir nicht recht, daß du ein Samariter bist, und einen Dämon hast?
Then answered the Iewes, and said vnto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritane, and hast a deuil?
49 Jesus antwortete: Ich habe keinen Dämon; sondern ich ehre meinen Vater, und ihr verunehret mich.
Iesus answered, I haue not a deuil, but I honour my Father, and ye haue dishonoured me.
50 Ich aber suche nicht meine Verherrlichung; es ist einer, der sie sucht, und richtet.
And I seeke not mine owne praise: but there is one that seeketh it, and iudgeth.
51 Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wenn jemand mein Wort bewahrt, so wird er den Tod nicht sehen, in Ewigkeit. (aiōn g165)
Verely, verely I say vnto you, If a man keepe my word, he shall neuer see death. (aiōn g165)
52 Da sagten ihm die Juden: Jetzt haben wir erkannt, daß du einen Dämon hast. Abraham ist gestorben und die Propheten, und du sagst: Wenn jemand mein Wort bewahrt, so wird er den Tod nicht schmecken in Ewigkeit. (aiōn g165)
Then said the Iewes to him, Now know we that thou hast a deuill. Abraham is dead, and the Prophets: and thou sayest, If a man keepe my worde, he shall neuer taste of death. (aiōn g165)
53 Bist du größer, als unser Vater Abraham, der gestorben ist? Und die Propheten sind gestorben; zu wem machst du dich selbst?
Art thou greater then our father Abraham, which is dead? and the Prophets are dead: whome makest thou thy selfe?
54 Jesus antwortete: Wenn ich mich selbst verherrliche, so ist meine Herrlichkeit nichts. Es ist mein Vater, der mich verherrlicht, von welchem ihr saget, er sei euer Gott.
Iesus answered, If I honour my selfe, mine honour is nothing worth: it is my Father that honoureth me, whome ye say, that hee is your God.
55 Und ihr habt ihn nicht erkannt, ich aber kenne ihn, und wenn ich sagen würde, ich kenne ihn nicht, würde ich, gleich euch ein Lügner sein; aber ich kenne ihn, und bewahre sein Wort.
Yet ye haue not knowen him: but I knowe him, and if I should say I know him not, I should be a liar like vnto you: but I knowe him, and keepe his worde.
56 Abraham, euer Vater, frohlockte, daß er meinen Tag sehen sollte, und er sah ihn, und freute sich.
Your father Abraham reioyced to see my day, and he sawe it, and was glad.
57 Da sprachen die Juden zu ihm: Du hast noch keine fünfzig Jahre, und hast Abraham gesehen?
Then sayd ye Iewes vnto him, Thou art not yet fiftie yeere olde, and hast thou seene Abraham?
58 Jesus sagte ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch, ehe Abraham ward, bin ich. war vor Abraham, aber zum persönlichen Christus ist er erst in Jesus geworden. Abraham wurde um Christi willen ins Dasein gerufen, nicht Christus um Abrahams willen. Abraham sah im Glauben den Tag Christi kommen und frohlockte.
Iesus sayd vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, before Abraham was, I am.
59 Da hoben sie Steine auf, damit sie auf ihn würfen. Jesus aber verbarg sich, und ging hinaus aus dem Tempel.
Then tooke they vp stones, to cast at him, but Iesus hid himselfe, and went out of the Temple: And hee passed through the middes of them, and so went his way.
