Psalm 118
1 Danket Jahwe, denn er ist gütig; denn ewig währt seine Gnade!
Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
2 So spreche Israel: denn ewig währt seine Gnade!
Let it say please Israel that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
3 Sprechen mögen denn die vom Hause Aarons: denn ewig währt seine Gnade!
Let them say please [the] house of Aaron that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
4 Sprechen mögen denn, die Jahwe fürchten: denn ewig währt seine Gnade!
Let them say please [those] fearing Yahweh that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
5 Aus der Bedrängnis rief ich Jah; da hat mich Jah erhört und in weiten Raum gestellt.
From the distress I called out to Yahweh he answered me in roomy place Yahweh.
6 Jahwe ist für mich, ich fürchte mich nicht: was könnten mir Menschen thun?
Yahweh [is] for me not I will be afraid what? will he do to me anyone.
7 Jahwe ist für mich, unter meinen Helfern, und ich werde meine Lust sehen an denen, die mich hassen.
Yahweh [is] for me helper my and I I will look on [those who] hate me.
8 Besser ist's, bei Jahwe Zuflucht suchen, als auf Menschen vertrauen.
[is] good To take refuge in Yahweh more than to trust in humankind.
9 Besser ist's, bei Jahwe Zuflucht suchen, als auf Fürsten vertrauen.
[is] good To take refuge in Yahweh more than to trust in noble [people].
10 Alle Heiden umringten mich - im Namen Jahwes, fürwahr, zerhaue ich sie.
All nations they surrounded me in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
11 Sie umringten, ja umringten mich - im Namen Jahwes, fürwahr, zerhaue ich sie.
They surrounded me also they surrounded me in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
12 Sie umringten mich wie Bienen das Wachs, brannten wie Feuer in den Dornen - im Namen Jahwes, fürwahr, zerhaue ich sie!
They surrounded me like bees they were extinguished like a fire of thorns in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
13 Du hast mich heftig gestoßen, damit ich fallen möchte, aber Jahwe half mir.
Certainly you pushed me to fall and Yahweh he helped me.
14 Jah ist meine Stärke und mein Lobgesang, und von ihm kam mir Heil.
[is] might My and strength Yahweh and he has become of me salvation.
15 Jubel- und Siegesruf erschallt in den Zelten der Frommen; die Rechte Jahwes verrichtet große Thaten.
[the] sound of - A shout of joy and salvation [is] in [the] tents of righteous [people] [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] doing strength.
16 Die Rechte Jahwes hebt empor; die Rechte Jahwes verrichtet große Thaten.
[the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] exalting [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] doing strength.
17 Ich werde nicht sterben, sondern leben und die Werke Jahs verkündigen.
Not I will die for I will live and I may recount [the] deeds of Yahweh.
18 Jah hat mich wohl gezüchtigt, aber dem Tode hat er mich nicht preisgegeben.
Certainly he has disciplined me Yahweh and to death not he has given me.
19 Thut mir auf die Thore der Gerechtigkeit: ich will durch sie eingehen, Jah zu preisen!
Open to me [the] gates of righteousness I will go in them I will give thanks to Yahweh.
20 Dies ist das Thor Jahwes: Fromme gehen durch es ein.
This the gate [belongs] to Yahweh righteous [people] they will go in it.
21 Ich preise dich, daß du mich erhört hast, und daß mir Heil von dir kam.
I will give thanks to you for you answered me and you have become of me salvation.
22 Der Stein, den die Bauenden verworfen haben, ist zum Eckstein geworden:
A stone [which] they rejected the builders it has become [the] head of [the] corner.
23 Von seiten Jahwes ist das geschehen; wunderbar ist's in unseren Augen.
From with Yahweh it has come this it it is wonderful in eyes our.
24 Dies ist der Tag, den Jahwe gemacht hat: laßt uns frohlocken und fröhlich an ihm sein!
This the day he has made Yahweh let us be glad and let us rejoice in it.
25 Ach, Jahwe, hilf doch! Ach, Jahwe, gieb doch Gelingen!
We beg you O Yahweh save! please we beg you O Yahweh grant success! please.
26 Gesegnet sei, wer da eingeht, im Namen Jahwes: wir segnen euch vom Tempel Jahwes aus.
[be] blessed The [one who] comes in [the] name of Yahweh we bless you from [the] house of Yahweh.
27 Jahwe ist Gott und er leuchtete uns. Bindet das Festopfer mit Seilen, bis an die Hörner des Altars!
[is] God - Yahweh and he has given light to us bind a festival sacrifice with ropes to [the] horns of the altar.
28 Du bist mein Gott, und ich will dich preisen; mein Gott, ich will dich erheben!
[are] God My you and I will give thanks to you O God my I will exalt you.
29 Danket Jahwe, denn er ist gütig, denn ewig währt seine Gnade!
Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
