4 Mose 35
1 Und Jahwe redete mit Mose in den Steppen Moabs am Jordan gegenüber Jericho also:
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses in [the] plains of Moab at [the] Jordan of Jericho saying.
2 Befiehl den Israeliten, daß sie von ihrem Erbbesitze den Leviten Städte zu Wohnsitzen geben. Zu den Städten aber sollt ihr den Leviten auch Weidetrift rings um sie her geben;
Command [the] people of Israel and they will give to the Levites some of [the] inheritance of possession their cities to dwell in and pasture land for the cities around them you will give to the Levites.
3 und zwar sollen ihnen die Städte als Wohnsitz dienen, die dazu gehörenden Weidetriften aber sollen sie für ihre Lasttiere, ihren Viehstand und für alle ihre anderen Tiere haben.
And they will belong the cities to them to dwell in and pasture lands their they will be for cattle their and for property their and for every animal their.
4 Es sollen sich aber die Weidetriften bei den Städten, die ihr den Leviten abtreten werdet, von der Stadtmauer ab ringsum tausend Ellen weit erstrecken.
And [the] pasture lands of the cities which you will give to the Levites [will be] from [the] wall of the city and [the] outside towards one thousand cubit[s] all around.
5 Und ihr sollt außerhalb der Stadt auf der Ostseite zweitausend Ellen abmessen, ebenso auf der Südseite zweitausend Ellen, auf der Westseite zweitausend Ellen und auf der Nordseite zweitausend Ellen, während die Stadt in die Mitte zu liegen kommt. Das soll ihnen als Weidetrift bei den Städten zufallen.
And you will measure from [the] outside of the city [the] side of east-ward two thousand by the cubit and [the] side of [the] south two thousand by the cubit and [the] side of [the] west - two thousand by the cubit and [the] side of [the] north two thousand by the cubit and the city [will be] in the middle this it will belong to them [the] pasture lands of the cities.
6 Und was die Städte betrifft, die ihr den Leviten abzutreten habt, so sollt ihr die sechs Freistädte abtreten, damit dorthin fliehen kann, wer einen Totschlag begangen hat; außerdem aber sollt ihr zweiundvierzig Städte abtreten.
And the cities which you will give to the Levites [the] six [the] cities of refuge which you will give to flee there towards the killer and to them you will give forty and two citi[es].
7 Die Gesamtzahl der Städte, die ihr den Leviten abzutreten habt, soll sich auf achtundvierzig Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften belaufen.
All the cities which you will give to the Levites [will be] forty and eight citi[es] them and pasture lands their.
8 Und zwar sollt ihr die größeren Stämme der Israeliten mehr, die kleineren weniger Städte von ihrem Erbbesitz abtreten lassen; nach Maßgabe des erblichen Besitzes, den sie zu eigen erhalten werden, sollen sie ein jeder eine Anzahl seiner Städte an die Leviten abtreten.
And the cities which you will give from [the] possession of [the] people of Israel from with the many you will increase and from with the few you will decrease each one according to [the] mouth of inheritance its which they will inherit it will give some of cities its to the Levites.
9 Und Jahwe redete mit Mose also:
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
10 Rede mit den Israeliten und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn ihr über den Jordan hinüber in das Land Kanaan kommt,
Speak to [the] people of Israel and you will say to them if you [are] about to pass over the Jordan [the] land of towards Canaan.
11 so sollt ihr geeignete Städte bestimmen, damit sie euch als Freistädte dienen; dorthin mag fliehen, wer einen Totschlag begangen, einen Menschen unvorsätzlich getötet hat.
And you will make happen to yourselves cities cities of refuge they will be for you and he will flee there towards a killer [who] has struck down a person by inadvertence.
12 Und zwar sollen euch diese Städte als Zuflucht vor dem Bluträcher dienen, damit der Totschläger nicht getötet wird, bis er zum behufe seiner Aburteilung vor der Gemeinde gestanden hat.
And they will become for you the cities a refuge from an avenger and not he will die the killer until stands he before the congregation for judgment.
13 Es sollen aber der Freistädte, die ihr abzutreten habt, sechs sein.
And the cities which you will give six cities of refuge they will be for you.
14 Drei Städte sollt ihr jenseits des Jordan abtreten und drei Städte sollt ihr im Lande Kanaan abtreten; Freistädte sollen es sein.
- three Cities you will give from [the] other side of the Jordan and three cities you will give in [the] land of Canaan cities of refuge they will be.
15 Den Israeliten, sowie dem Fremden und dem Beisassen unter euch, sollen diese sechs Städte als Zuflucht dienen, damit jeder dorthin ziehe, der unvorsätzlich einen Menschen getötet hat.
For [the] people of Israel and for the sojourner and for the resident alien in midst of them they will become [the] six the cities these a refuge to flee there towards any [one who] strikes down a person by inadvertence.
16 Hat er ihn aber mit einem eisernen Geräte getroffen, so daß er starb, so ist er ein Mörder; der Mörder ist mit dem Tode zu bestrafen.
And if with an instrument of iron - he struck down him and he died [is] a killer he certainly he will be put to death the killer.
17 Wenn er ihn mit einem Steine, den er in der Hand führte, und durch den einer getötet werden kann, getroffen hat, so daß er starb, so ist er ein Mörder; der Mörder ist mit dem Tode zu bestrafen.
And if with a stone of hand which someone will die by it he struck down him and he died [is] a killer he certainly he will be put to death the killer.
18 Und wenn er ihn mit einem hölzernen Geräte, das er in der Hand führte, und durch das einer getötet werden kann, getroffen hat, so daß er starb, so ist er ein Mörder; der Mörder ist mit dem Tode zu bestrafen.
Or with an instrument of wood of hand which someone will die by it he struck down him and he died [is] a killer he certainly he will be put to death the killer.
19 Und zwar soll der Bluträcher den Mörder töten; wenn er ihn antrifft, soll er ihn töten.
[the] avenger of Blood he he will put to death the killer when meets he him he he will put to death him.
20 Und wenn er ihm aus Haß einen Stoß gegeben oder absichtlich etwas auf ihn geworfen hat, so daß er starb,
And if in hatred he will push him or he threw on him with lying in wait and he died.
21 oder wenn er ihn aus Feindschaft auch nur mit der Hand geschlagen hat, so daß er starb, so soll der, welcher geschlagen hat, mit dem Tode bestraft werden. Er ist ein Mörder; der Bluträcher soll den Mörder töten, wenn er ihn antrifft.
Or in enmity he struck down him with hand his and he died certainly he will be put to death the [one who] struck [is] a killer he [the] avenger of blood he will put to death the killer when meets he him.
22 Hat er ihn aber von ungefähr gestoßen, ohne daß Feindschaft vorlag, oder unabsichtlich irgend ein Geräte auf ihn geworfen
And if in an instant with not enmity he pushed him or he threw on him any weapon with not lying in wait.
23 oder irgend einen Stein, durch den einer getötet werden kann, auf ihn fallen lassen, so daß er starb, während er doch keine Feindschaft gegen ihn hegte und ihm nichts Böses zufügen wollte,
Or with any stone which someone will die by it with not seeing [him] and he made [it] fall on him and he died and he not [was] an enemy of him and not [was] seeking harm his.
24 so soll die Gemeinde nach obigen Rechtssatzungen schiedsrichterlich zwischen dem Schläger und dem Bluträcher entscheiden.
And they will judge the congregation between the [one who] struck and between [the] avenger of blood on the judgments these.
25 Und die Gemeinde soll den Totschläger vor dem Bluträcher retten und die Gemeinde soll ihn in die Stadt, wohin er geflohen war und Zuflucht gefunden hatte, zurückbringen lassen, und er soll in ihr bleiben bis zum Tode des Hohenpriesters, den man mit dem heiligen Öle gesalbt hat.
And they will deliver the congregation the killer from [the] hand of [the] avenger of blood and they will return him the congregation to [the] city of refuge his where he had fled there towards and he will dwell in it until [the] death of the priest great whom someone had anointed him with [the] oil of holiness.
26 Sollte aber der Totschläger den Bereich der Stadt, wohin er geflohen war und Zuflucht gefunden hatte, verlassen,
And if ever he will go out the killer [the] border of [the] city of refuge his where he will flee there towards.
27 und der Bluträcher ihn außerhalb des Bereichs der Stadt, die ihm Zuflucht bietet, antreffen, und sollte dann der Bluträcher den Totschläger töten, so hat er keine Blutschuld.
And he will find him [the] avenger of blood from [the] outside of [the] border of [the] city of refuge his and he will kill [the] avenger of blood the killer not [will belong] to him blood.
28 Denn jener hat in der Stadt, die ihm Zuflucht bietet, bis zum Tode des Hohenpriesters zu bleiben; nach dem Tode des Hohenpriesters jedoch darf der Totschläger dahin zurückkehren, wo er seinen Erbbesitz hat.
For in [the] city of refuge his he will remain until [the] death of the priest great and after [the] death of the priest great he will return the killer to [the] land of possession his.
29 Diese Bestimmungen sollen euch als Rechtssatzung gelten, die ihr beobachten sollt von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht in allen euren Wohnsitzen.
And they will become these [things] for you a statute of judgment to generations your in all dwelling places your.
30 Wenn jemand einen Menschen erschlägt, so soll man auf Grund der Aussage von Zeugen den Mörder hinrichten; doch soll auf die Aussage nur eines Zeugen hin niemand zum Tode verurteilt werden.
Any [one who] strikes down a person to [the] mouth of witnesses someone will kill the killer and a witness one not he will testify against anyone to die.
31 Ihr dürft aber kein Lösegeld annehmen für das Leben des Mörders, der des Todes schuldig ist, vielmehr soll er mit dem Tode bestraft werden.
And not you will take a ransom for [the] life of a killer who he [is] guilty to die for certainly he will be put to death.
32 Auch dürft ihr kein Lösegeld zu dem Zweck annehmen, daß einer nicht in die Stadt, die ihm Zuflucht bietet, zu fliehen braucht, sondern noch vor dem Tode des Priesters wiederkommen und irgendwo im Lande wohnen darf.
And not you will take a ransom to flee to [the] city of refuge his to return to dwell in the land until [the] death of the priest.
33 Und ihr sollt das Land, in welchem ihr euch befindet, nicht entweihen; denn das Blut entweiht das Land, und dem Lande wird nicht Sühne geschafft für das Blut, das in ihm vergossen ward, außer durch das Blut dessen, der es vergossen hat.
And not you will pollute the land which you [are] in it for blood it it pollutes the land and for the land not it will be atoned to the blood which it was shed in it that except by [the] blood of [the] [one who] shed it.
34 So verunreinigt denn das Land nicht, in welchem ihr wohnt, da auch ich darin wohne; denn ich, Jahwe, wohne unter den Israeliten.
And not you will make unclean the land which you [are] dwelling in it which I [am] dwelling in [the] midst of it for I Yahweh [am] dwelling in among [the] people of Israel.
