Esra 6
1 Da gab der König Darius Auftrag, im Archiv, woselbst man in Babel auch die Schätze niederzulegen pflegte, nachzuforschen,
Then Darius king the he made a decree and they searched - in [the] house books the where treasures the [were] deposited there in Babylon.
2 und es fand sich in der Burg zu Ahmetha, das in der Provinz Medien liegt, eine Schriftrolle; in der stand folgendes: “Denkwürdigkeit.
And it was found in Ecbatana in citadel the which [is] in Media province the a scroll one and as follows it was written in midst its memorandum.
3 Im ersten Jahre des Königs Cyrus erließ der König Cyrus folgenden Befehl: Der Tempel Gottes zu Jerusalem - dieser Tempel soll wieder aufgebaut werden, als eine Stätte, wo man Opfer bringt, und seine Fundamente sollen wieder Mauern tragen. Seine Höhe soll sechzig Ellen betragen und seine Breite sechzig Ellen.
In year one of Cyrus king the Cyrus king the he made a decree [the] house of God in Jerusalem house the let it be built a place which [they were] sacrificing sacrifices and foundations its [be] retained height its cubits sixty width its cubits sixty.
4 Der Schichten von Quadersteinen sollen drei sein und eine Schicht von Gebälk; und die Kosten sollen aus dem königlichen Palaste bestritten werden.

5 Dazu sollen auch die goldenen und silbernen Geräte des Tempels Gottes, die Nebukadnezar aus dem Tempel zu Jerusalem weggeführt und nach Babel gebracht hat, zurückgegeben werden, daß jedes wieder in den Tempel zu Jerusalem an seinen Ort komme, und du sollst sie im Tempel Gottes niederlegen.
And also [the] vessels of [the] house of God of gold and silver which Nebuchadnezzar he brought out from temple the which [was] in Jerusalem and he carried to Babylon let them send back and let it go to temple the which [is] in Jerusalem to place its so you may deposit [them] in [the] house of God.
6 So mögt ihr denn also - Thathnai, Statthalter des Gebiets jenseits des Stroms, und Sthar Bosnai und ihre Genossen, die Apharsechäer, im Gebiete jenseits des Stroms - euch von dort fernhalten.
Now O Tattenai [the] governor of [the] region beyond river the Shethar-Bozenai and associates their officials the who [are] in [the] region beyond river the far be! from there.
7 Laßt die Arbeit an diesem Tempel Gottes gewähren; der Statthalter der Juden und die Vornehmen der Juden mögen diesen Tempel Gottes auf seiner früheren Stelle wieder aufbauen.
Leave! [the] work of [the] house of God this [the] governor of Jews the and [the] elders of Jews the [the] house of God this let them build on place its.
8 Und von mir ist Befehl ergangen in betreff dessen, was ihr diesen Vornehmen der Juden für den Bau dieses Tempels Gottes anweisen sollt. Und zwar sollen diesen Männern von den königlichen Einkünften aus den Steuern des Gebiets jenseits des Flusses die Kosten genau erstattet werden - ohne Versäumnis!
And from me it is made a decree to whatever that you will do with [the] elders of Jews the these to build [the] house of God this and from [the] properti of king the which [is] [the] tribute of [the] region beyond river the diligently expense the let it be given to men the these that not to make to cease.
9 Und was man nötig hat, sowohl junge Stiere als auch Widder und Lämmer zu Brandopfern für den Gott des Himmels, Weizen, Salz, Wein und Öl, soll ihnen nach der Angabe der Priester zu Jerusalem Tag für Tag ungeschmälert gegeben werden,
And whatever things needed and young of bulls and rams and lambs - for burnt offerings - to [the] God of heavens the wheat salt - wine and oil according to [the] word of priests the who [are] in Jerusalem it will be given to them day - by day that not negligence.
10 damit sie dem Gotte des Himmels Opfer lieblichen Geruchs darbringen und für das Leben des Königs und seiner Söhne beten.
That they will be offering soothing offerings to [the] God of heavens the and praying for [the] life of king the and sons his.
11 Und von mir ist Befehl ergangen, daß, wenn irgend jemand diesen Erlaß abändern sollte, ein Balken aus seinem Hause herausgerissen, und er an ihm gekreuzigt werden soll; sein Haus aber soll dieserhalb zu einem Misthaufen gemacht werden.
And from me it is made a decree that every person who he will violate command the this let it be pulled away a beam from house his and [he will] be lifted up let him be impaled on it and house his a refuse-heap let it be made on this.
12 Der Gott aber, der seinen Namen dort wohnen läßt, stürze alle Könige und Völker, die etwa ihre Hand ausstrecken, um diesen Erlaß abzuändern oder um diesen Tempel Gottes zu Jerusalem zu zerstören. Ich, Darius, habe Befehl gegeben; mit Sorgfalt werde er ausgeführt!”
And God who he has caused to dwell name his there may he overthrow every king and people who - he will stretch out hand his to violate to destroy [the] house of God this which [is] in Jerusalem I Darius I make a decree diligently let it be done.
13 Da verfuhren Thathnai, der Statthalter des Gebiets jenseits des Stroms, und Sthar Bosnai und ihre Genossen sorgfältig nach dem Bescheid, den der König Darius in der angegebenen Weise gesandt hatte.
Then Tattenai [the] governor of [the] region beyond river the Shethar-Bozenai and associates their before that he had sent Darius king the accordingly diligently they did.
14 Und die Vornehmen der Juden bauten und kamen vorwärts unter Beihilfe der Weissagung der Propheten Haggai und Sacharjas, des Sohnes Iddos. Und so vollendeten sie den Bau infolge des Befehls des Gottes Israels und infolge des Befehls des Cyrus und des Darius und des Arthahsastha, des Königs von Persien.
And [the] elders of Jews the [were] building and prospering by [the] prophesying of Haggai (prophet the *Q(K)*) and Zechariah [the] son of Iddo and they built and they finished according to [the] decree of [the] God of Israel and according to [the] decree of Cyrus and Darius and Artaxerxes [the] king of Persia.
15 Es wurde aber dieser Tempel vollendet bis zum dritten Tage des Monats Adar, und zwar war es das sechste Jahr der Regierung des Königs Darius.
And it was brought forth house the this until day three of [the] month of Adar which it [was] year six of [the] reign of Darius king the.
16 Und die Israeliten - die Priester und die Leviten und die übrigen aus der Gefangenschaft Zurückgekehrten - begingen die Einweihung dieses Tempels Gottes mit großer Freude.
And they made [the] people of Israel priests the and Levites the and [the] rest of [the] people of exile the [the] dedication of [the] house of God this with joy.
17 Und sie opferten zur Einweihung dieses Tempels Gottes hundert Stiere, zweihundert Widder, vierhundert Lämmer, und zum Sündopfer für ganz Israel zwölf Ziegenböcke, nach der Zahl der Stämme Israels.
And they offered for [the] dedication of [the] house of God this bulls one hundred rams two hundred lambs four hundred and he-goats of goats (for a sin offering *Q(K)*) on all Israel two [plus] ten to [the] number of [the] tribes of Israel.
18 Und sie bestellten die Priester nach ihren Klassen und die Leviten nach ihren Abteilungen zum Dienste Gottes zu Jerusalem, gemäß der Vorschrift des Buches Moses.
And they appointed priests the in divisions their and Levites the in classes their over [the] service of God which [is] in Jerusalem according to [the] writing of [the] book of Moses.
19 Und die aus der Gefangenschaft Zurückgekehrten begingen das Passah am vierzehnten des ersten Monats.
And they celebrated [the] children of the exile the passover on [day] four-teen of the month the first.
20 Denn die Priester und die Leviten hatten sich insgesamt gereinigt; alle waren rein. Und so schlachteten sie das Passah für alle aus der Gefangenschaft Zurückgekehrten und für ihre Brüder, die Priester, und für sich selbst.
For they had purified themselves the priests and the Levites as one all of them [were] pure and they slaughtered the passover for all [the] children of the exile and for brothers their the priests and for themselves.
21 Da aßen es die Israeliten, die aus der Gefangenschaft heimgekehrt waren, und alle, die sich von der Unreinigkeit der heidnischen Bewohner des Landes zu ihnen abgesondert hatten, um Jahwe, den Gott Israels, zu suchen.
And they ate [the] people of Israel who had returned from the exile and every [one who] had separated himself from [the] uncleanness of [the] nations of the land to them to seek Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
22 Und so begingen sie das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote sieben Tage mit Freuden; denn Jahwe hatte ihnen Freude zu teil werden lassen, indem er ihnen das Herz des Königs von Assyrien zuwandte, so daß er sie bei den Arbeiten am Tempel Gottes, des Gottes Israels, unterstützte.
And they celebrated [the] feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy for - he had made rejoice them Yahweh and he had turned [the] heart of [the] king of Assyria towards them to make strong hands their in [the] work of [the] house of God [the] God of Israel.
