Prediger 8
1 Wer ist wie der Weise? und wer versteht die Deutung der Dinge? - Die Weisheit eines Menschen macht sein Angesicht leuchten, und die Rohheit seines Angesichts wird umgewandelt.
Who? [is] like the wise [person] and who? [is] knowing [the] interpretation of a matter [the] wisdom of anyone it makes shine face his and [the] strength of face his it is changed.
2 Ich sage: den Befehl des Königs beachte und zwar wegen des Eides bei Gott.
I [the] mouth of a king keep and on [the] cause of [the] oath of God.
3 Übereile dich nicht, von ihm wegzugehen; laß dich nicht in bösen Handel ein. Denn alles, was ihm beliebt, thut er,
May not you be hasty from before him you will go may not you stand in a matter evil for all that he will desire he will do.
4 dieweil des Königs Wort mächtig ist, und wer darf zu ihm sagen: Was thust du?
In that a word of a king [is] mastery and who? will he say to him what? are you doing.
5 Wer das Gebot beobachtet, wird nichts Schlimmes erfahren, und Zeit und Gericht wird des Weisen Herz zu erfahren bekommen.
[one who] keeps A command not he will know a thing evil and an appropriate time and custom it will know a heart wise.
6 Denn für jegliches Unterfangen giebt es Zeit und Gericht, denn das Böse des Menschen liegt schwer auf ihm.
For for every matter there [is] an appropriate time and a custom for [the] trouble of humankind [is] great on him.
7 Er weiß ja nicht, was werden soll, und wie es werden wird, wer kann's ihm verraten?
For not he [is] knowing what? that will it be that just as it will be who? will he tell to him.
8 Kein Mensch hat Macht über den Wind, daß er den Wind aufhalten könnte, und keiner hat Macht über den Tag des Todes, noch giebt es Entlassung im Kriege; und der Frevel rettet den nicht, der ihn verübt.
There not [is] anyone having mastery over the wind to restrain the wind and there not [is] mastery over [the] day of death and there not [is] discharge in the battle and not it will rescue wickedness owners its.
9 Alles dies habe ich gesehen, und zwar indem ich meinen Sinn richtete auf alles Thun, das unter der Sonne geschieht, zu einer Zeit, wo ein Mensch über den andern herrscht zu dessen Unglück.
All this I have seen and I have given heart my to every deed which it is done under the sun a time when he domineers person over a person for evil of him.
10 Und sodann sah ich Gottlose, die begraben wurden und zur Ruhe eingingen, aber von dem heiligen Orte mußten fortziehen und wurden vergessen in der Stadt, die da recht gethan hatten. Auch das ist eitel.
And in such I have seen wicked [people] being buried and they came and from a place of holy they went and they may be forgotten in the city where right they had done also this [is] futility.
11 Weil der Spruch über das Thun der Bosheit nicht eilends vollzogen wird, darum schwillt den Menschenkindern der Mut, Böses zu thun,
That not it is done [the] sentence of [the] deed of the evil quickly there-fore it is full [the] heart of [the] children of humankind in them to do evil.
12 weil ein Sünder hundertmal Böses thut und dabei alt wird, wenngleich ich weiß, daß es wohl gehen wird den Gottesfürchtigen, die sich vor ihm fürchten.
That a sinner [is] doing evil a hundred [times] and [he is] prolonging for himself for also [am] knowing I that it will belong good to [those] fearing God that they fear from to before him.
13 Nicht aber wird es wohl ergehen den Frevlern, und gleich dem Schatten wird er nicht lange leben, weil er sich nicht vor Gott fürchtet.
And good not it will belong to the wicked and not he will prolong days like shadow that not he he has feared from to before God.
14 Es ist etwas Eitles, das auf Erden geschieht, daß es Fromme giebt, denen es ergeht nach dem Thun der Gottlosen, und daß es Gottlose giebt, denen es ergeht nach dem Thun der Frommen. Ich sprach: auch das ist eitel!
There [is] futility which it is done on the earth that - there [are] righteous [people] whom [it is] happening to them according to [the] deed[s] of wicked [people] and there [are] wicked [people] [to] whom [it is] happening to them according to [the] deed[s] of righteous [people] I said that also this [is] futility.
15 Und so pries ich die Freude; denn es giebt nichts Besseres für den Menschen unter der Sonne als zu essen und zu trinken und fröhlich zu sein; und das begleite ihn bei seiner Mühe während der Tage seines Lebens, die ihm Gott gegeben hat unter der Sonne.
And I commend I gladness that not good [belongs] to humankind under the sun that except to eat and to drink and to be happy and that it will accompany him in toil his [the] days of life his which he has given to him God under the sun.
16 Als ich meinen Sinn darauf richtete, Weisheit zu erkennen und das Treiben zu besehen, das auf Erden geschieht, - denn weder bei Tage noch bei Nacht bekommt der Mensch mit seinen Augen Schlaf zu sehen -
When I gave heart my to know wisdom and to see the task which it is done on the earth for also in day and in night sleep in eyes his not he [is] seeing.
17 da gewahrte ich, daß der Mensch all' das Thun Gottes nicht zu ergründen vermag, das Thun, welches geschieht unter der Sonne, weil der Mensch sich abmüht, zu suchen, und es doch nicht ergründet, und auch, wenn der Weise meint, es zu erkennen, kann er's nicht ergründen.
And I saw all [the] work of God that not he is able humankind to find out the work which it is done under the sun in that that he toils humankind to seek and not he will find out and also if he will say the wise [person] to know not he will be able to find out.
