2 Koenige 21

1 Zwölf Jahre war Manasse alt, als er König ward, und fünfundzwanzig Jahre regierte er zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter aber hieß Hephziba.

[was] a son of Two plus ten year[s] Manasseh when became king he and fifty and five year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Hephzi-bah.

2 Und er that was Jahwe mißfiel, und ahmte die Greuel der Völker nach, die Jahwe vor den Israeliten ausgetrieben hatte.

And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to [the] abominations of the nations which he had dispossessed Yahweh from before [the] people of Israel.

3 Und er baute die Höhen wieder auf, die sein Vater Hiskia zerstört hatte, errichtete Altäre für den Baal und fertigte eine Aschera, wie Ahab, der König von Israel, gethan hatte, und betete das ganze Heer des Himmels an und diente ihnen.

And he returned and he built the high places which he had destroyed Hezekiah father his and he set up altars to Baal and he made an Asherah pole just as he had done Ahab [the] king of Israel and he bowed down to all [the] host of the heavens and he served them.

4 Solche Altäre erbaute er im Tempel Jahwes, von welchem doch Jahwe gesagt hatte: Jerusalem will ich zum Sitze meines Namens machen.

And he built altars in [the] house of Yahweh which he had said Yahweh in Jerusalem I will put name my.

5 Auch erbaute er in den beiden Vorhöfen des Tempels Jahwes Altäre für das ganze Heer des Himmels.

And he built altars to all [the] host of the heavens in [the] two [the] courtyards of [the] house of Yahweh.

6 Er ließ seinen Sohn durchs Feuer gehen, trieb Zauberei und Wahrsagerei und bestellte Totenbeschwörer und Zeichendeuter; er hat vieles gethan, was Jahwe mißfiel, um ihn zum Zorne zu reizen.

And he made pass son his in the fire and he practiced soothsaying and he practiced divination and he dealt with necromancer and soothsayers he increased to do the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh to provoke [him] to anger.

7 Und er stellte das Bild der Aschera, das er angefertigt hatte, in den Tempel, von welchem doch Jahwe zu David und zu dessen Sohne Salomo gesagt hatte: Diesen Tempel und Jerusalem, das ich aus allen Stämmen Israels erwählt habe, will ich zum Sitze meines Namens machen für ewige Zeiten.

And he put [the] image of Asherah which he had made in the house which he had said Yahweh to David and to Solomon son his in the house this and in Jerusalem which I have chosen from all [the] tribes of Israel I will put name my for ever.

8 Und ich will den Fuß Israels nicht mehr flüchtig werden lassen, daß sie weichen müßten von dem Boden, den ich ihren Vätern verliehen habe, vorausgesetzt, daß sie darauf bedacht sind, ganz so zu thun, wie ich ihnen geboten habe, nämlich ganz nach dem Gesetze, das ihnen mein Knecht Mose anbefohlen hat.

And not I will repeat to make wander [the] foot of Israel from the ground which I gave to ancestors their only - if they will take care to do according to all that I have commanded them and to all the law which he commanded them servant my Moses.

9 Aber sie gehorchten nicht, und Manasse verführte sie dazu, Böses zu thun, schlimmer, als die Völker, die Jahwe vor den Israeliten vertilgt hatte.

And not they listened and he misled them Manasseh to do evil more than the nations which he had destroyed Yahweh from before [the] people of Israel.

10 Da redete Jahwe durch seine Knechte, die Propheten, also:

And he spoke Yahweh by [the] hand of servants his the prophets saying.

11 Darum, daß Manasse, der König von Juda, diese Greuel verübt hat, die schlimmer sind als alles, was die Amoriter gethan haben, die vor ihm gewesen sind, und auch Juda mit seinen Götzen zur Sünde verführt hat,

Because that he has done Manasseh [the] king of Judah the abominations these he has done evil more than all that they did the Amorite[s] who [was] before him and he has caused to sin also Judah with idols his.

12 darum spricht Jahwe, der Gott Israels, also: Ich will Unglück über Jerusalem und Juda bringen, daß allen, die davon hören werden, beide Ohren gellen sollen.

Therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to bring calamity on Jerusalem and Judah which every ([one who] hears of it *QK) they will tingle [the] two ears his.

13 Ja, ich will über Jerusalem die Meßschnur ziehen, wie über Samaria, und die Setzwage anlegen, wie beim Hause Ahabs, und will Jerusalem abwischen, wie man eine Schüssel rein abwischt und nach dem Wischen umstürzt.

And I will stretch out over Jerusalem [the] measuring-line of Samaria and [the] leveling tool of [the] house of Ahab and I will wipe clean Jerusalem just as someone wipes clean the bowl he wipes [it] clean and he turns [it] over on face its.

14 Und ich will den Überrest meines Eigentums verstoßen und sie in die Gewalt ihrer Feinde geben. daß sie allen ihren Feinden zum Raub und zur Beute werden sollen,

And I will abandon [the] remnant of inheritance my and I will give them in [the] hand of enemies their and they will become spoil and plunder to all enemies their.

15 darum, daß sie gethan haben, was mir mißfällt, und mich beständig zum Zorne reizten, von dem Tage an, an welchem ihre Väter aus Ägypten wegzogen, bis auf den heutigen Tag.

Because that they have done the evil in eyes my and they have been provoking to anger me since the day when they came out ancestors their from Egypt and until the day this.

16 Dazu vergoß Manasse sehr viel unschuldiges Blut, bis er Jerusalem bis oben an damit erfüllt hatte, abgesehen von seiner Versündigung, daß er Juda verführte, zu thun, was Jahwe mißfiel.

And also blood innocent he shed Manasseh much very until that he had filled Jerusalem mouth to mouth apart from sin his which he caused to sin Judah to do the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh.

17 Was aber sonst noch von Manasse zu sagen ist und alles, was er ausgeführt hat, und seine Sünde, die er begangen, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Juda.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Manasseh and all that he did and sin his which he sinned ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.

18 Und Manasse legte sich zu seinen Vätern und wurde in seinem Begräbnis im Garten Ussas begraben. Und sein Sohn Amon ward König an seiner Statt.

And he lay down Manasseh with ancestors his and he was buried in [the] garden of house his in [the] garden of Uzzah and he became king Amon son his in place of him.

19 Zweiundzwanzig Jahre war Amon alt, als er König ward, und zwei Jahre regierte er zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter aber hieß Mesullemeth, die Tochter des Haruz, und stammte aus Jotba.

[was] a son of Twenty and two year[s] Amon when became king he and two years he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Meshullemeth [the] daughter of Haruz from Jotbah.

20 Und er that, was Jahwe mißfiel, gleichwie sein Vater Manasse gethan hatte,

And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh just as he had done Manasseh father his.

21 und wandelte durchaus auf dem Wege, den sein Vater gewandelt hatte, und diente den Götzen, denen sein Vater gedient hatte, und betete sie an

And he walked in all the way which he had walked father his and he served the idols which he had served father his and he bowed down to them.

22 und ward abtrünnig von Jahwe, dem Gotte seiner Väter, und wandelte nicht auf dem Wege Jahwes.

And he forsook Yahweh [the] God of ancestors his and not he walked in [the] way of Yahweh.

23 Und die Diener Amons verschworen sich wider ihn und töteten den König in seinem Palaste.

And they conspired [the] servants of Amon on him and they killed the king in own house his.

24 Die Landbevölkerung aber erschlug alle, die sich wider den König Amon verschworen hatten; sodann machten sie seinen Sohn Josia an seiner Statt zum Könige.

And it struck down [the] people of the land all those [who] had conspired on the king Amon and they made king [the] people of the land Josiah son his in place of him.

25 Was aber sonst noch von Amon zu sagen ist und alles, was er ausgeführt hat, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Juda.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Amon which he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.

26 Und man begrub ihn im Begränisse seines Vaters im Garten Tssas, und sein Sohn Josia ward König an seiner Statt.

And someone buried him in grave his in [the] garden of Uzzah and he became king Josiah son his in place of him.
