Marc 3
1 Jésus entra une autre fois dans la synagogue; or il s’y trouvait un homme qui avait une main desséchée.
At another time, when He went to the synagogue, there was a man there with one arm shrivelled up.
2 Et on l’observait pour voir s’il le guérirait un jour de sabbat, afin de l’accuser.
They closely watched Him to see whether He would cure him on the Sabbath--so as to have a charge to bring against Him.
3 Et il dit à l’homme qui avait la main desséchée: Lève-toi, là, au milieu.
"Come forward," said He to the man with the shrivelled arm.
4 Puis il demanda aux autres: Est-il permis, un jour de sabbat, de faire du bien ou du mal, de sauver une âme ou de la perdre? Mais eux gardaient le silence.
Then He asked them, "Are we allowed to do good on the Sabbath, or to do evil? to save a life, or to destroy one?" They remained silent.
5 Alors les regardant avec colère, et contristé de l’aveuglement de leur cœur, il dit à cet homme: Etends ta main. Il l’étendit, et sa main devint saine.
Grieved and indignant at the hardening of their hearts, He looked round on them with anger, and said to the man, "Stretch out your arm." He stretched it out, and the arm was completely restored.
6 Or les pharisiens étant sortis, tinrent aussitôt conseil contre lui avec les hérodiens, comment ils le perdraient.
But no sooner had the Pharisees left the synagogue than they held a consultation with the Herodians against Jesus, to devise some means of destroying Him.
7 Mais Jésus se retira avec ses disciples vers la mer, et une troupe nombreuse le suivit de la Galilée et de la Judée,
Accordingly Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the Lake, and a vast crowd of people from Galilee followed Him;
8 De Jérusalem, de l’Idumée, et d’au-delà du Jourdain; et une grande multitude des environs de Tyr et de Sidon, apprenant ce qu’il faisait, vint à lui.
and from Judaea and Jerusalem and Idumaea and from beyond the Jordan and from the district of Tyre and Sidon there came to Him a vast crowd, hearing of all that He was doing.
9 Il dit alors à ses disciples de lui amener une barque, à cause de la foule, de peur qu’il n’en fût accablé
So He gave directions to His disciples to keep a small boat in constant attendance on Him because of the throng--to prevent their crushing Him.
10 Car il en guérissait beaucoup, de sorte que tous ceux qui avaient quelque mal se jetaient sur lui pour le toucher.
For He had cured many of the people, so that all who had any ailments pressed upon Him, to touch Him.
11 Les esprits impurs eux-mêmes, lorsqu’ils le voyaient, se prosternaient devant lui et criaient, disant;
And the foul spirits, whenever they saw Him, threw themselves down at His feet, screaming out: "You are the Son of God."
12 Vous êtes le Fils de Dieu. Mais il leur défendait avec de grandes menaces de le révéler.
But He many a time checked them, forbidding them to say who He was.
13 Etant monté sur la montagne, il appela à lui ceux que lui-même voulut; et ils vinrent à lui.
Then He went up the hill; and those whom He Himself chose He called, and they came to Him.
14 Il en établit douze pour être avec lui et pour les envoyer prêcher,
He appointed twelve of them, that they might be with Him, and that He might also send them to proclaim His Message,
15 Et il leur donna le pouvoir de guérir les maladies et de chasser les démons:
with authority to expel the demons.
16 D’abord Simon à qui il donna le nom de Pierre;
These twelve were Simon (to whom He gave the surname of Peter),
17 Puis Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean son frère, auxquels il donna le nom de Boanergès, c’est-à-dire fils du tonnerre;
James the son of Zabdi and John the brother of James (these two He surnamed Boanerges, that is 'Sons of Thunder'),
18 André, Philippe, Barthélemi, Matthieu, Thomas, Jacques fils d’Alphée, Thaddée, Simon le Cananéen,
Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananaean,
19 Et Judas Iscariote, celui-là même qui le trahit.
and Judas Iscariot, the man who also betrayed Him.
20 Ils vinrent dans une maison, et la foule s’y assembla de nouveau, en sorte qu’ils ne pouvaient pas même manger du pain.
And He went into a house. But again the crowd assembled, so that there was no opportunity for them even to snatch a meal.
21 Ce qu’ayant appris, les siens vinrent pour se saisir de lui, car ils disaient: Il a perdu l’esprit.
Hearing of this, His relatives came to seize Him by force, for they said, "He is out of his mind."
22 Et les scribes, qui étaient venus de Jérusalem, disaient: Il est possédé de Béelzébub, et c’est par le prince des démons qu’il chasse les démons.
The Scribes, too, who had come down from Jerusalem said, "He has Baal-zebul in him; and it is by the power of the Prince of the demons that he expels the demons."
23 Mais Jésus les ayant appelés, leur disait en paraboles: Comment Satan peut-il chasser Satan?
So He called them to Him, and using figurative language He appealed to them, saying, "How is it possible for Satan to expel Satan?
24 Si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume ne peut subsister.
For if civil war breaks out in a kingdom, nothing can make that kingdom last;
25 Et si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison ne peut subsister.
and if a family splits into parties, that family cannot continue.
26 Si donc Satan s’est élevé contre lui-même, il est divisé, et il ne pourra subsister; mais il touche à sa fin.
So if Satan has risen in arms and has made war upon himself, stand he cannot, but meets his end.
27 Nul ne peut entrer dans la maison du fort et ravir ce qu’il possède, s’il ne l’a lié auparavant; c’est alors qu’il pillera sa maison.
Nay, no one can go into a strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
28 En vérité je vous le dis, tous les péchés seront remis aux enfants des hommes, même les blasphèmes par lesquels ils auront blasphémé.
In solemn truth I tell you that all their sins may be pardoned to the sons of men, and all their blasphemies, however they may have blasphemed;
30 Parce qu’ils disaient: II est possédé d’un esprit impur.
This was because they said, "He is possessed by a foul spirit."
31 Cependant sa mère et ses frères vinrent; et, se tenant dehors, ils l’envoyèrent appeler.
By this time His mother and His brothers arrive, and standing outside they send a message to Him to call Him.
32 Or la foule était assise autour de lui, et on lui dit: Voilà dehors votre mère et vos frères qui vous cherchent.
Now a crowd was sitting round Him; so they tell Him, "Your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, inquiring for you."
33 Et leur répondant, il dit: Qui est ma mère, et qui sont mes frères?
"Who are my mother and my brothers?" He replied.
34 Et, regardant ceux qui étaient assis autour de lui: Voici, dit-il, ma mère et mes frères,
And, fixing His eyes on the people who were sitting round Him in a circle, He said,
35 Car quiconque fait la volonté de Dieu, celui-là est mon frère, et ma sœur, et ma mère.
"Here are my mother and my brothers. For wherever there is one who has been obedient to God, there is my brother--my sister--and my mother."
