1 Chroniques 25

1 David et les chefs de l'armée mirent à part pour le service, ceux des fils d'Asaph, d'Héman et de Jéduthun, qui prophétisaient avec des harpes, des lyres et des cymbales. Et voici le nombre des hommes employés pour le service qu'ils devaient faire:

Then David and the magistrates of the army set apart, for the ministry, the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps and psalteries and cymbals, in accord with their number, having been dedicated to their appointed office.

2 Des fils d'Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Néthania et Ashareéla, fils d'Asaph, sous la direction d'Asaph, qui prophétisait sous la direction du roi;

From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, prophesying beside the king.

3 De Jéduthun, les fils de Jéduthun: Guédalia, Tséri, Ésaïe, Hashabia, Matthithia et Shiméi, six, sous la direction de leur père Jéduthun, qui prophétisait avec la harpe pour louer et célébrer l'Éternel;

Then of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, and Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hand of their father Jeduthun, who was prophesying with stringed instruments, while confessing and praising the Lord.

4 De Héman, les fils de Héman: Bukkija, Matthania, Uziel, Shébuel, Jérimoth, Hanania, Hanani, Élijatha, Guiddalthi, Romamthi-Ézer, Joshbékasha, Mallothi, Hothir et Machazioth.

Also, of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, and Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.

5 Tous ceux-là étaient fils de Héman, le Voyant du roi, pour sonner du cor selon l'ordre de Dieu. Et Dieu avait donné à Héman quatorze fils et trois filles.

All these were the sons of Heman, the seer of the king in the words of God, in order to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Tous ceux-là étaient sous la direction de leurs pères, pour le chant de la maison de l'Éternel, avec des cymbales, des lyres et des harpes, pour le service de la maison de Dieu. Asaph, Jéduthun et Héman étaient sous la direction du roi.

All these, under their father’s hand, were distributed in order to sing in the temple of the Lord, with cymbals and psalteries and harps, in the ministry of the house of the Lord beside the king, specifically, Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.

7 Leur nombre, avec leurs frères exercés à chanter à l'Éternel, tous les hommes habiles, était de deux cent quatre-vingt-huit.

Now the number of these, with their brothers, who were instructing in the song of the Lord, all the teachers, were two hundred eighty-eight.

8 Et ils tirèrent au sort pour leurs fonctions, petits et grands, maîtres et disciples.

And they cast lots in their turns, the elder equally with the younger, the learned together with the unlearned.

9 Le premier sort échut, pour Asaph, à Joseph; le second, à Guédalia, lui, ses frères et ses fils, douze;

And the first lot went forth to Joseph, who was of Asaph; the second went forth to Gedaliah, to him and his sons and his brothers, twelve.

10 Le troisième, à Zaccur, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The third went to Zaccur, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

11 Le quatrième, à Jitseri, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The fourth went to Izri, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

12 Le cinquième, à Néthania, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The fifth went to Nethaniah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

13 Le sixième, à Bukkija, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The sixth went to Bukkiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

14 Le septième, à Jeshareéla, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The seventh went to Jesharelah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

15 Le huitième, à Ésaïe, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The eighth went to Jeshaiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

16 Le neuvième, à Matthania, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The ninth went to Mattaniah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

17 Le dixième, à Shimeï, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The tenth went to Shimei, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

18 Le onzième, à Azaréel, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The eleventh went to Azarel, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

19 Le douzième, à Hashabia, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The twelfth went to Hashabiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

20 Le treizième, à Shubaël, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The thirteenth went to Shubael, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

21 Le quatorzième, à Matthithia, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The fourteenth went to Mattithiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

22 Le quinzième, à Jérémoth, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The fifteenth went to Jeremoth, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

23 Le seizième, à Hanania, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The sixteenth went to Hananiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

24 Le dix-septième, à Joshbékasha, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The seventeenth went to Joshbekashah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

25 Le dix-huitième, à Hanani, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The eighteenth went to Hanani, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

26 Le dix-neuvième, à Mallothi, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The nineteenth went to Mallothi, to his sons and his brothers, twelve.

27 Le vingtième, à Élijatha, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The twentieth went to Eliathah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

28 Le vingt et unième, à Hothir, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The twenty-first went to Hothir, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

29 Le vingt-deuxième, à Guiddalthi, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The twenty-second went to Giddalti, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

30 Le vingt-troisième, à Machazioth, ses fils et ses frères, douze;

The twenty-third went to Mahazioth, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

31 Le vingt-quatrième, à Romamthi-Ézer, ses fils et ses frères, douze.

The twenty-fourth went to Romamtiezer, to his sons and brothers, twelve.
