Hebrews 5
1 For every chief priest — out of men taken — in behalf of men is set in things [pertaining] to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins,
Porque todo sumo sacerdote tomado de entre los hombres, es constituido en favor de los hombres en lo que a Dios toca, para que ofrezca presentes, y también sacrificios por los pecados:
2 able to be gentle to those ignorant and going astray, since himself also is compassed with infirmity;
Que se pueda compadecer de los ignorantes y de los errados, porque él también está rodeado de flaqueza:
3 and because of this infirmity he ought, as for the people, so also for himself to offer for sins;
Por causa de la cual deba, como por el pueblo así también por sí mismo, ofrecer sacrificios por los pecados.
4 and no one to himself doth take the honour, but he who is called by God, as also Aaron:
Ni nadie toma para sí mismo esta honra, sino el que es llamado de Dios, como lo fue Aarón.
5 so also the Christ did not glorify himself to become chief priest, but He who spake unto him: 'My Son thou art, I to-day have begotten thee;'
Así también Cristo no se glorificó a sí mismo, para ser hecho sumo sacerdote, sino el que le dijo: Tú eres mi Hijo, yo te he engendrado hoy.
6 as also in another [place] He saith, 'Thou [art] a priest — to the age, according to the order of Melchisedek;' (aiōn g165)
Como también dice en otro lugar: Tú eres sacerdote eternamente, según el orden de Melquisedec. (aiōn g165)
7 who in the days of his flesh both prayers and supplications unto Him who was able to save him from death — with strong crying and tears — having offered up, and having been heard in respect to that which he feared,
El cual en los días de su carne, habiendo ofrecido ruegos y también suplicaciones con gran clamor y lágrimas a aquel que le podía librar de la muerte, fue oído y librado de su miedo.
8 through being a Son, did learn by the things which he suffered — the obedience,
Y aunque era Hijo, sin embargo por lo que padeció aprendió la obediencia;
9 and having been made perfect, he did become to all those obeying him a cause of salvation age-during, (aiōnios g166)
Y consumado, fue hecho causa de eterna salud para todos los que le obedecen: (aiōnios g166)
10 having been addressed by God a chief priest, according to the order of Melchisedek,
Nombrado de Dios sumo sacerdote según el orden de Melquisedec.
11 concerning whom we have much discourse and of hard explanation to say, since ye have become dull of hearing,
Del cual tenemos mucho que decir, y dificultoso de declarar, por cuanto sois perezosos para oír.
12 for even owing to be teachers, because of the time, again ye have need that one teach you what [are] the elements of the beginning of the oracles of God, and ye have become having need of milk, and not of strong food,
Porque debiendo de ser ya maestros, a causa del tiempo, tenéis necesidad de volver a ser enseñados, de cuáles sean los elementos del principio de los oráculos de Dios, y sois hechos tales que tengáis necesidad de leche, y no de mantenimiento firme.
13 for every one who is partaking of milk [is] unskilled in the word of righteousness — for he is an infant,
Que cualquiera que usa de leche, no tiene aun experiencia de la palabra de justicia, porque es niño.
14 and of perfect men is the strong food, who because of the use are having the senses exercised, unto the discernment both of good and of evil.
Mas de los ya hombres perfectos es la vianda firme, es a saber, de los que por la costumbre tienen ya los sentidos ejercitados a la discreción del bien y del mal.
