2 Peter 2
1 And there did come also false prophets among the people, as also among you there shall be false teachers, who shall bring in besides destructive sects, and the Master who bought them denying, bringing to themselves quick destruction,
Empero hubo también falsos profetas entre el pueblo, así como habrá entre vosotros falsos enseñadores, que introducirán encubiertamente herejías de perdición, y negarán al Señor que los rescató, trayendo sobre sí mismos acelerada perdición.
2 and many shall follow out their destructive ways, because of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of,
Y muchos seguirán sus perdiciones: por los cuales el camino de la verdad será blasfemado;
3 and in covetousness, with moulded words, of you they shall make merchandise, whose judgment of old is not idle, and their destruction doth not slumber.
Y por avaricia harán mercadería de vosotros con palabras fingidas: sobre los cuales la condenación ya de largo tiempo no se tarda, y su perdición no se duerme.
4 For if God messengers who sinned did not spare, but with chains of thick gloom, having cast [them] down to Tartarus, did deliver [them] to judgment, having been reserved, (Tartaroō g5020)
Porque ¿cómo escaparán ellos? pues no perdonó Dios a los ángeles que habían pecado, mas antes habiéndo los despeñado en el tártaro con cadenas de oscuridad, los entregó para ser reservados al juicio; (Tartaroō g5020)
5 and the old world did not spare, but the eighth person, Noah, of righteousness a preacher, did keep, a flood on the world of the impious having brought,
Y pues no perdonó al mundo viejo, mas antes preservó a Noé, la octava persona, pregonero de justicia, y trajo el diluvio al mundo de malvados;
6 and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah having turned to ashes, with an overthrow did condemn, an example to those about to be impious having set [them];
Y si condenó por destrucción las ciudades de Sodoma, y de Gomorra, tornándolas en ceniza, y poniéndo las por ejemplo a los que habían de vivir impíamente;
7 and righteous Lot, worn down by the conduct in lasciviousness of the impious, He did rescue,
Y libró al justo Lot, el cual era perseguido de los abominables por la nefanda conversación de ellos:
8 for in seeing and hearing, the righteous man, dwelling among them, day by day the righteous soul with unlawful works was harassing.
(Porque este justo de vista y de oídos, morando entre ellos, afligía cada día su alma justa con los hechos de aquellos injustos: )
9 The Lord hath known to rescue pious ones out of temptation, and unrighteous ones to a day of judgment, being punished, to keep,
Sabe el Señor librar de tentación a los piadosos, y reservar a los injustos para ser atormentados en el día del juicio:
10 and chiefly those going behind the flesh in desire of uncleanness, and lordship despising; presumptuous, self-complacent, dignities they are not afraid to speak evil of,
Y principalmente aquellos, que siguiendo la carne, andan en concupiscencia de inmundicia, y menosprecian las potestades: siendo atrevidos, contumaces, que no temen de decir mal de las dignidades:
11 whereas messengers, in strength and power being greater, do not bear against them before the Lord an evil speaking judgment;
Como quiera que los mismos ángeles, que son mayores en fuerza y en potencia, no pronuncian juicio de maldición contra ellas delante del Señor.
12 and these, as irrational natural beasts, made to be caught and destroyed — in what things they are ignorant of, speaking evil — in their destruction shall be destroyed,
Mas estos diciendo mal de las cosas que no entienden, (como bestias brutas, que naturalmente son hechas para presa y destrucción, ) perecerán enteramente en su propia corrupción,
13 about to receive a reward of unrighteousness, pleasures counting the luxury in the day, spots and blemishes, luxuriating in their deceits, feasting with you,
Recibiendo el galardón de su injusticia, reputando por deleite poder gozar de deleites cada día: estos son suciedades y manchas, los cuales comiendo con vosotros, juntamente se recrean en sus propios errores:
14 having eyes full of adultery, and unable to cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having an heart exercised in covetousnesses, children of a curse,
Teniendo los ojos llenos de la adúltera, y no saben cesar de pecar: cebando las almas inconstantes, teniendo el corazón ejercitado en codicias, siendo hijos de maldición:
15 having forsaken a right way, they did go astray, having followed in the way of Balaam the [son] of Bosor, who a reward of unrighteousness did love,
Que dejando el camino derecho han errado, habiendo seguido el camino de Balaam, el hijo de Bosor, el cual amó el premio de la maldad;
16 and had a rebuke of his own iniquity — a dumb ass, in man's voice having spoken, did forbid the madness of the prophet.
Mas recibió reprensión por su misma transgresión: la muda bestia, hablando en voz de hombre, refrenó la locura del profeta.
17 These are wells without water, and clouds by a tempest driven, to whom the thick gloom of the darkness to the age hath been kept; (questioned)
Estos son fuentes sin agua, nubes traídas de torbellino de viento; para los cuales está guardada eternamente la oscuridad de las tinieblas. (questioned)
18 for overswellings of vanity speaking, they do entice in desires of the flesh — lasciviousnesses, those who had truly escaped from those conducting themselves in error,
Porque hablando arrogantes palabras de vanidad, ceban con las concupiscencias de la carne en disoluciones a los que verdaderamente habían huido de los que conversan en error:
19 liberty to them promising, themselves being servants of the corruption, for by whom any one hath been overcome, to this one also he hath been brought to servitude,
Prometiéndoles libertad, siendo ellos mismos siervos de corrupción. Porque el que es de alguno vencido, es sujeto a la servidumbre del que le venció.
20 for, if having escaped from the pollutions of the world, in the acknowledging of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and by these again being entangled, they have been overcome, become to them hath the last things worse than the first,
Porque si habiéndose ellos apartado de las contaminaciones del mundo, por el conocimiento del Señor y Salvador Jesu Cristo, y otra vez envolviéndose en ellas, son vencidos, sus postrimerías les son hechas peores que los principios.
21 for it were better to them not to have acknowledged the way of the righteousness, than having acknowledged [it], to turn back from the holy command delivered to them,
Por lo que mejor les hubiera sido no haber conocido el camino de la justicia, que después de haber lo conocido, tornarse atrás del santo mandamiento que les fue dado.
22 and happened to them hath that of the true similitude; 'A dog did turn back upon his own vomit,' and, 'A sow having bathed herself — to rolling in mire.'
Empero les ha acontecido lo que por un verdadero proverbio se suele decir: El perro es vuelto a su vómito, y la puerca lavada es tornada al revolcadero del cieno.
