Ezekiel 39
1 But profesie thou, sone of man, ayens Gog; and thou schalt seie, The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y on thee, thou Gog, prince of the heed of Mosoch and of Tubal.
Pour toi, fils de l’homme, prophétise sur Gog et dis: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Me voici contre toi, Gog, prince suzerain de Méchec et de Toubal.
2 And Y schal lede thee aboute, and Y schal disseyue thee, and Y schal make thee to stie fro the sidis of the north, and Y schal brynge thee on the hillis of Israel.
Je vais t’entraîner, te frapper de vertige et te faire monter de l’extrême Nord et venir sur les montagnes d’Israël.
3 And Y schal smyte thi bouwe in thi left hond, and Y schal caste doun thin arowis fro thi riyt hond.
Je vais briser ton arc dans ta main gauche et faire tomber tes flèches de ta main droite.
4 Thou schalt falle doun on the hillis of Israel, thou, and alle thi cumpenyes, and puplis that ben with thee; Y yaf thee for to be deuourid to wielde beestis, to briddis, and to ech volatil, and to the beestis of erthe.
Sur les montagnes d’Israël tu tomberas, toi et tes légions et les peuples qui t’accompagnent; aux oiseaux de proie de tout plumage, aux fauves des champs je te livre en pâture.
5 Thou schalt falle doun on the face of the feeld; for Y the Lord haue spoke, seith the Lord God.
Sur la surface des champs tu tomberas, oui, c’est moi qui le déclare, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
6 And Y schal sende fier in Magog, and in hem that dwellen tristili in ilis; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord God of Israel.
Et j’enverrai un feu dans Magog et parmi ceux qui habitent les plages en toute sécurité, et ils sauront que je suis l’Eternel.
7 And Y schal make myn hooli name knowun in the myddis of my puple Israel, and Y schal no more defoule myn hooli name; and hethene men schulen wite, that Y am the Lord God, the hooli of Israel.
Et mon saint nom, je le ferai connaître au milieu de mon peuple Israël, et je ne laisserai plus profaner mon saint nom; et les nations reconnaîtront que je suis l’Eternel, saint en Israël!
8 Lo! it cometh, and it is don, seith the Lord God.
La voici venir, elle est accomplie, dit le Seigneur Dieu: C’Est le jour que j’ai annoncé!
9 This is the day of which Y spak. And dwelleris schulen go out of the citees of Israel, and thei schulen set a fier, and schulen brenne armuris, scheeld and spere, bouwe and arowis, and stauys of hond, and schaftis with out irun; and thei schulen brenne tho in fier bi seuene yeer.
Et ils sortiront, les habitants des villes d’Israël; ils feront du feu et l’attiseront avec les armes de guerre bouclier et rondache, arc et flèches, javelot et lance; ils en alimenteront du feu pendant sept années.
10 And thei schulen not bere trees of cuntries, nether schulen kitte doun of forestis, for thei schulen brenne armuris bi fier; and thei schulen take preies of hem, to whiche thei weren preies, and thei schulen rauysche her wasteris, seith the Lord God.
Ils ne ramasseront pas de bois dans la campagne, ils n’en couperont pas dans les forêts, c’est avec les armures qu’ils feront du feu; et ils dépouilleront leurs spoliateurs et pilleront ceux qui les auront pillés, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
11 And it schal be in that dai, Y schal yyue to Gog a named place, a sepulcre in Israel, the valei of weigoeris at the eest of the see, that schal make hem that passen forth for to wondre; and thei schulen birie there Gog, and al the multitude of hym, and it schal be clepid the valei of the multitude of Gog.
Et alors, ce jour-là, je donnerai à Gog un lieu de sépulture en Israël la vallée des Passants, à l’Orient de la mer et ce sera une barrière enfermant les passants; on y enterrera Gog et toute sa cohue et on l’appellera "Vallée de la Cohue de Gog".
12 And the hous of Israel schulen birie hem, that thei clense the lond in seuene monethis.
La maison d’Israël les ensevelira, pour purifier le pays, pendant sept mois.
13 Forsothe al the puple of the lond schal byrie hym, and it schal be a named dai to hem, in which Y am glorified, seith the Lord God.
Tous les gens du pays aideront à l’inhumation et s’en feront honneur, au jour de ma glorification, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
14 And thei schulen ordeyne bisili men cumpassynge the lond, that schulen birie and seke hem that weren left on the face of the lond, that thei clense it. Forsothe aftir seuene monethis thei schulen bigynne to seke,
Puis on désignera des hommes en permanence, ayant mission de parcourir le pays pour enterrer ces passants, ceux qui seraient restés sur la surface du sol, afin de le purifier. C’Est au bout de sept mois qu’ils commenceront la recherche.
15 and thei schulen cumpas goynge aboute the lond; and whanne thei schulen se the boon of a man, thei schulen sette a `notable signe bisidis it, til the birieris of careyns birie it in the valei of the multitude of Gog.
En parcourant ainsi le pays, quand l’un d’eux apercevra des ossements humains, il bâtira à côté un cippe, jusqu’à ce que les fossoyeurs les aient ensevelis dans la Vallée de la Cohue.
16 Sotheli the name of the cite is Amona; and thei schulen clense the lond.
Pareillement, la ville sera nommée "Hamôna!", et l’on purifiera le pays.
17 Forsothe, thou, sone of man, the Lord God seith these thingis, Seie thou to ech brid, and to alle foulis, and to alle beestis of the feeld, Come ye to gidere, and haste ye, renne ye togidere on ech side to my sacrifice, which Y sle to you, a greet sacrifice on the hillis of Israel, that ye ete fleischis and drynke blood.
Et toi, fils de l’homme, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Dis aux oiseaux de tout plumage et à toutes les bêtes des champs: Rassemblez-vous et venez! Réunissez-vous de toutes parts auprès de mon hécatombe que je prépare pour vous. Une grande hécatombe sur les montagnes d’Israël, vous mangerez de la chair et vous boirez du sang.
18 Ye schulen ete the fleischis of stronge men, and ye schulen drynke the blood of prynces of erthe, of wetheris, of lambren, and of buckis of geet, and of bolis, and of beestis maad fat, and of alle fat thingis.
Vous mangerez la chair des guerriers, vous boirez le sang des princes de la terre, tous béliers, agneaux gras, boucs, taureaux, bétail plantureux de Basan.
19 And ye schulen ete the ynnere fatnesse in to fulnesse, and ye schulen drynke the blood in to drunkenesse, of the sacrifice which Y schal sle to you.
Vous mangerez de la graisse à satiété et vous boirez du sang jusqu’à l’ivresse, grâce à l’hécatombe que j’aurai préparée pour vous.
20 And ye schulen be fillid on my boord, of hors, and of strong horse man, and of alle men werriours, seith the Lord God.
Vous vous gorgerez à ma table de chevaux et d’attelages, de soldats et de toute espèce de gens de guerre, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
21 And Y schal sette my glorie among hethene men, and alle hethene men schulen se my doom, which Y haue do, and myn hond, which Y haue set on hem.
Et je manifesterai ma gloire parmi les nations, et tous les peuples verront le jugement que j’ai exercé et la main que j’ai posée sur eux.
22 And the hous of Israel schulen wite, that Y am her Lord God, fro that dai and afterward.
Et la maison d’Israël saura que je suis l’Eternel, leur Dieu, à dater de ce jour et ultérieurement.
23 And hethen men schulen wite, that the hous of Israel is takun in her wickidnesse, for that that thei forsoken me; and Y hidde my face fro hem, and Y bitook hem into the hondis of enemyes, and alle thei fellen doun bi swerd.
Et les nations sauront que c’est à cause de son iniquité que la maison d’Israël avait été exilée, parce qu’ils m’ont été infidèles, de sorte que je détournai d’eux ma face et les livrai au pouvoir de leurs ennemis, et qu’ils tombèrent tous sous le glaive.
24 Bi the unclennes and greet trespasse of hem Y dide to hem, and Y hidde my face fro hem.
Selon leurs souillures et leurs péchés, je les ai traités, et j’ai détourné d’eux ma face.
25 Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Now Y schal leede ayen the caitiftee of Jacob, and Y schal haue merci on al the hous of Israel; and Y schal take feruoure for myn hooli name.
En vérité, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu, maintenant je ferai revenir Jacob de captivité, je prendrai en pitié toute la maison d’Israël et j’aurai le souci jaloux de mon nom.
26 And thei schulen bere here schenschipe, and al the trespassing bi which thei trespassiden ayens me, whanne thei dwelliden in her lond tristili, and dredden no man;
Ils auront expié leur opprobre et toute l’infidélité dont ils se sont rendus coupables à mon égard, une fois qu’ils habiteront de nouveau sur leur sol en toute sécurité, sans personne pour les troubler.
27 and whanne Y schal bringe hem ayen fro puplis, and schal gadere fro the londis of her enemyes, and schal be halewid in hem, bifor the iyen of ful many folkis.
Quand je les ramènerai d’entre les peuples et que je les ferai sortir ensemble des pays de leurs ennemis, je serai sanctifié par eux aux yeux de nations nombreuses.
28 And thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord God of hem, for that Y translatide hem in to naciouns, and haue gaderid hem on her lond, and Y lefte not ony of hem there.
Ils sauront que je suis l’Eternel, leur Dieu, quand, après les avoir exilés parmi les nations, je les aurai réintégrés dans leur pays, sans plus laisser personne d’entre eux là-bas.
29 And Y schal no more hide my face fro hem, for Y haue schede out my spirit on al the hous of Israel, seith the Lord God.
Et je ne détournerai plus d’eux ma face, par la raison que j’aurai répandu mon esprit sur la maison d’Israël, dit le Seigneur Dieu."
