1 John 5
1 Ech man that bileueth that Jhesus is Crist, is borun of God; and ech man that loueth hym that gendride, loueth hym that is borun of hym.
Jeder, der glaubt, daß Jesus der Christus ist, ist aus Gott geboren. Jeder der den Vater liebt, liebt auch dessen Kind.
2 In this thing we knowen, that we louen the children of God, whanne we louen God, and don his maundementis.
Daran erkennen wir, daß wir die Kinder Gottes lieben, wenn wir Gott selber lieben und seine Gebote halten.
3 For this is the charite of God, that we kepe hise maundementis; and his maundementis ben not heuy.
Denn das ist Liebe zu Gott, daß wir seine Gebote halten.
4 For al thing that is borun of God, ouercometh the world; and this is the victorie that ouercometh the world, oure feith.
Seine Gebote sind nicht schwer. Denn alles, was aus Gott geboren ist, hat die Welt überwunden, und unser Glaube ist der Sieg, der die Welt bezwungen hat.
5 And who is he that ouercometh the world, but he that bileueth that Jhesus is the sone of God?
Wer ist es denn, der die Welt besiegt, wenn nicht der, der glaubt, daß Jesus der Sohn Gottes ist?
6 This is Jhesus Crist, that cam bi watir and blood; not in water oonli, but in watir and blood. And the spirit is he that witnessith, that Crist is treuthe.
Er ist es, der gekommen ist durch Wasser, Blut und Geist: Jesus Christus. Nicht allein durch Wasser, sondern durch Wasser und durch Blut. Der Geist ist es, der es bezeugt; der Geist ist Wahrheit.
7 For thre ben, that yyuen witnessing in heuene, the Fadir, the Sone, and the Hooli Goost; and these thre ben oon.
So sind es denn drei, die Zeugnis geben: im Himmel: der Vater, das Wort und der Heilige Geist, und diese drei sind Eins. Und drei sind es, die Zeugnis geben auf Erden:
8 `And thre ben, that yyuen witnessing in erthe, the spirit, water, and blood; and these thre ben oon.
Der Geist, das Wasser und das Blut, und diese drei stimmen überein.
9 If we resseyuen the witnessing of men, the witnessing of God is more; for this is the witnessing of God, that is more, for he witnesside of his sone.
Wenn wir dem Zeugnis der Menschen glauben, so steht doch das Zeugnis Gottes höher; denn dies ist das Zeugnis Gottes das höher steht, daß er von seinem Sohne Zeugnis abgelegt hat.
10 He that bileueth in the sone of God, hath the witnessing of God in hym. He that bileueth not to the sone, makith hym a liere; for he bileueth not in the witnessing, that God witnesside of his sone.
Wer immer an den Sohn Gottes glaubt, der hat das Zeugnis in sich. Wer aber Gott nicht glaubt, macht ihn zum Lügner; er glaubt ja nicht all das Zeugnis, das Gott von seinem Sohn abgelegt hat.
11 And this is the witnessyng, for God yaf to you euerlastinge lijf, and this lijf is in his sone. (aiōnios g166)
Und dieses Zeugnis lautet: Gott hat uns ewiges Leben gegeben, und dieses Leben ist in seinem Sohne. (aiōnios g166)
12 He that hath the sone of God, hath also lijf; he that hath not the sone of God, hath not lijf.
Wer den Sohn hat, hat das Leben, wer aber den Sohn Gottes nicht hat, hat auch das Leben nicht.
13 I write to you these thingis, that ye wite, that ye han euerlastynge lijf, which bileuen in the name of Goddis sone. (aiōnios g166)
Dies schreibe ich euch, damit ihr wisset, daß ihr das ewige Leben habt, die ihr an den Namen des Sohnes Gottes glaubt. (aiōnios g166)
14 And this is the trist which we han to God, that what euer thing we axen aftir his wille, he schal here vs.
Und das ist unsere Zuversicht, die wir zu ihm besitzen, daß er uns hört, wenn wir nach seinem Willen um irgend etwas bitten.
15 And we witen, that he herith vs, what euer thing we axen; we witen, that we han the axyngis, which we axen of hym.
Und wenn wir wissen, daß er uns hört, um was wir immer bitten, so wissen wir auch, daß wir das schon besitzen, was wir mit unseren Bitten erst von ihm erflehen.
16 He that woot that his brother synneth a synne not to deth, axe he, and lijf schal be youun to hym that synneth not to deth. Ther is a synne to deth; `not for it Y seie, that ony man preie.
Wenn einer sieht, wie sein Bruder eine Sünde tut, die nicht zum Tode führt, der möge beten und dadurch ihm zum Leben verhelfen, wofern er nicht zum Tode gesündigt hat. Es gibt auch eine Sünde, die zum Tode führt; doch nicht für diese, sage ich, soll man beten.
17 Ech wickidnesse is synne, and ther is synne to deth.
Jede Ungerechtigkeit ist Sünde. Es gibt indes auch eine Sünde, die nicht zum Tode führt.
18 We witen, that ech man that is borun of God, synneth not; but the generacioun of God kepith hym, and the wickid touchith hym not.
Wir wissen: Wer aus Gott geboren ist, der sündigt nicht; sondern wer aus Gott geboren ist, der hütet sich, und auch der Böse tastet ihn nicht an.
19 We witen, that we ben of God, and al the world is set in yuel.
Wir wissen, daß wir aus Gott stammen und daß die ganze Welt in der Gewalt des Bösen liegt.
20 And we witen, that the sone of God cam in fleisch, and yaf to vs wit, that we know veri God, and be in the veri sone of hym. This is veri God, and euerlastynge lijf. (aiōnios g166)
Wir wissen aber auch, daß der Sohn Gottes gekommen ist und daß er uns die Einsicht gegeben hat, daß wir den Wahrhaftigen erkennen. Wir sind in dem Wahrhaftigen, in seinem Sohne Jesus Christus. Dies ist der wahre Gott und ewiges Leben. (aiōnios g166)
21 My litle sones, kepe ye you fro maumetis.
Kinder, hütet euch vor den Götzen!
