Yochanan 14
1 “Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
No se turbe vuestro corazón: creed en Dios, creed también en Mí.
2 In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
En la casa de mi Padre hay muchas moradas; y si no, os lo habría dicho, puesto que voy a preparar lugar para vosotros.
3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
Y cuando me haya ido y os haya preparado el lugar, vendré otra vez y os tomaré junto a Mí, a fin de que donde Yo estoy, estéis vosotros también.
4 You know where I go, and you know the way.”
Y del lugar adonde Yo voy, vosotros sabéis el camino”.
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
Díjole Tomás: “Señor, no sabemos adónde vas, ¿cómo, pues, sabremos el camino?”
6 Yeshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Jesús le replicó: “Soy Yo el camino, y la verdad, y la vida; nadie va al Padre, sino por Mí.
7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.”
Si vosotros me conocéis, conoceréis también a mi Padre. Más aún, desde ahora lo conocéis y lo habéis visto”.
8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
Felipe le dijo: “Señor, muéstranos al Padre, y esto nos basta”.
9 Yeshua said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Respondiole Jesús: “Tanto tiempo hace que estoy con vosotros, ¿y tú no me has conocido, Felipe? El que me ha visto, ha visto a mi Padre. ¿Cómo puedes decir: Muéstranos al Padre?
10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
¿No crees que Yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en Mí? Las palabras que Yo os digo, no las digo de Mí mismo; sino que el Padre, que mora en Mí, hace Él mismo sus obras.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
Creedme: Yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en Mí; al menos, creed a causa de las obras mismas.
12 Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
En verdad, en verdad, os digo, quien cree en Mí, hará él también las obras que Yo hago, y aun mayores, porque Yo voy al Padre
13 Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
y haré todo lo que pidiereis en mi nombre, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.
14 If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Si me pedís cualquier cosa en mi nombre Yo la haré”.
15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
“Si me amáis, conservaréis mis mandamientos.
16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor, that he may be with you forever: (aiōn g165)
Y Yo rogaré al Padre, y Él os dará otro Intercesor, que quede siempre con vosotros, (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
el Espíritu de verdad, que el mundo no puede recibir, porque no lo ve ni lo conoce; mas vosotros lo conocéis, porque Él mora con vosotros y estará en vosotros.
18 I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
No os dejaré huérfanos; volveré a vosotros.
19 Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.
Todavía un poco, y el mundo no me verá más, pero vosotros me volveréis a ver, porque Yo vivo, y vosotros viviréis.
20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
En aquel día conoceréis que Yo soy en mi Padre, y vosotros en Mí, y Yo en vosotros.
21 One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”
El que tiene mis mandamientos y los conserva, ese es el que me ama; y quien me ama, será amado de mi Padre, y Yo también lo amaré, y me manifestaré a él”.
22 Judah (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
Díjole Judas —no el Iscariote—: “Señor, ¿cómo es eso: que te has de manifestar a nosotros y no al mundo?”
23 Yeshua answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
Jesús le respondió y dijo: “Si alguno me ama, guardará mi palabra, y mi Padre lo amará, y vendremos a él, y en él haremos morada.
24 He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
El que no me ama no guardará mis palabras; y la palabra que estáis oyendo no es mía, sino del Padre que me envió”.
25 “I have said these things to you while still living with you.
“Os he dicho estas cosas durante mi permanencia con vosotros.
26 But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
Pero el intercesor, el Espíritu Santo, que el Padre enviará en mi nombre, Él os lo enseñará todo, y os recordará todo lo que Yo os he dicho.
27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
Os dejo la paz, os doy la paz mía; no os doy Yo como da el mundo. No se turbe vuestro corazón, ni se amedrente.
28 You heard how I told you, ‘I am going away, and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced because I said ‘I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.
Acabáis de oírme decir: «Me voy y volveré a vosotros». Si me amaseis, os alegraríais de que voy al Padre, porque el Padre es más grande que Yo.
29 Now I have told you before it happens so that when it happens, you may believe.
Os lo he dicho, pues, antes que acontezca, para que cuando esto se verifique, creáis.
30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me.
Ya no hablaré mucho con vosotros, porque viene el príncipe del mundo. No es que tenga derecho contra Mí,
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let’s go from here.
pero es para que el mundo conozca que Yo amo al Padre, y que obro según el mandato que me dio el Padre. Levantaos, vamos de aquí”.
